OOC: I know you said the station pretty much split apart into separate ships when the alarm went off, but is there anything left of the station? Any other ships still within the immediate area. If not, please void my following comment about getting a sample of the air on the station.

OOC: The station is gone, and we’re out of range anyway. So yes, that is a void.

IC: Remy turned to watch Ayla hurry out and then shifted his gaze to Bryson. “Did you eat or drink anytine on de sta-SHON, Bryson? What ‘bout you, ‘Lita? Do you remember seeing Thienna eat anything? What ‘bout Ahearn?”

The Commander shook his head, since his response wasn’t going to be audible at the moment. He realized that moving less and not talking helped him focus on mentally subduing the pain, but whatever it was.... felt like food poisoning times ten.

“I can’t say about anybody else, but Cel and myself, we were going to drink some fruit juice concoction but all hell broke loose before then. Maybe that’s a good thing.”

“If it’s not in de food or drink, it ‘as to be an airborne virus. . . “

He began ripping off orders to the various departments.

=^=Mr. Petrov, I wan’ you to transport an air sample over from de sta-SHON. Beam it into a containment unit an’ get it to de science lab.=^=

“‘Lita, get you’ scans of Lt. Sharise an’ Cmdr. Erin to de lab as well. Have science and medical compare you’ scans, de air sample, an’ scan results from you, Thienna, Ahearn, an’ anyone else dat was on de sta-SHON. Maybe all of dis is related an’ if we can narrow down dis bacteria, we can neutralize it an’ get everyone back to normal. . . .”

Alita moved over to where Commander Bryce was and began scanning him.

“I already have a sample of the Counselor. I’ll leave as soon as I get the commander’s.” she said.

“Do what you need to do, Lieutenant.” The XO groaned. He was a tad surprised that he wasn’t given a mild sedative. At least that would have worked a little magic.

“‘Elm, stay right ‘ere until dere is confirma-SHON we ‘ave an air sample secured.”

Alita finished scanning Bryce.

“Something for the pain or to help you relax? You’ll understand if I err on the side of caution.” Alita explained.

She really wanted to get back to Medical, these scans were important. Alita also desperately wanted a few minutes alone. Being in Cel’s body was starting to affect her in ways she didn’t understand, not to mention her accidentally gifted empathic abilities. She felt like she was going to come apart at the seams.

The scans showed a foreign containment from the tricorder. It was hard to localize. A blood sample in the medical or science lab would be able to tell more information under more detailed scans.

“What would you want us to do in the meantime, doc?” The XO replied once the scans were finished. Bryson wasn’t sure how helpful he would be in his current state, especially since the pain was making it hard for him to concentrate.

Alita was just glad the XO hadn’t called her Cel. She flashed in the fact that she had never had an awkward experience with Bryce until now of course. She looked in her med kit, took out two hypos, and administered one.

“You should start to feel better in a bit now. Something for the pain, nausea, and just a touch of anti-anxiety in there. What I would appreciate you doing for me, Commander, is giving this to Counselor Sharise when she gets back because I should really get back to sickbay.” Alita said.

Ayla surfaced again, looking pale and she thought probably as bad as she felt. It was hard to focus her mind but in such a crisis she was too experienced at compartmentalizing to be completely useless. If she could be on her feet, she was at least marginally functional. Because of this, she heard the remarks and frowned as she leaned against the nearest wall. “I would highly suggest at least temporary containment and a thorough check of the ventilation systems. We didn’t transport over, so we didn’t go through biofilters. We don’t yet know how this thing is spread, but our options are touch and air at the moment. I recommend we take extreme precautions. It might end up being a minor illness all told, but it hits hard and the last thing we want is an entire crew out of commission at once.” They could still proceed to their destination and maybe sort out the illness along the way.

Lt. Sharise, CNS

The voice of the CSO came through the comms. =/\= Ahearn to Bridge. I have identified a bacteriological contaminant in the sample. It appears to be airborne. Until we know more, I recommend isolating all personnel who were on the station. I’m locking down the Lab now. =/\=

Remy breathed a sigh of relief. =^=Merci, Mr. Ahearn. At least now, we ‘ave a direc-SHON to ‘ead into. Isolatine de personnel might be a problem. Dose six ‘ave been all over de ship. Is it possible dis same contaminant caused the changes to de crew dat came through de transporter?=^=

=^=As soon as you can figure out what it is, send de results to life support. See if dey can filter it out of de ventila-SHON system. I also want you to work on an antidote.=^=

Bryson groaned at the comm exchange. For all he knew, the six of them could have been a sort of trojan horse, but that would be too far of a stretch. “Counselor.....” The XO said, as he approached the woman. “Here’s a hypo that will at least downgrade the pain for a bit....” The Commander stated. Bryson did notice that his pain wasn’t as bad, though he still felt extremely horrible.
