It had been too long since Remy had spent any quality alone time with Ayla and he wanted, needed that to change. Perhaps a change from the standard dinner date would help with the slight problem he was experiencing in the performance department.

Ayla had yet to say anything about it and he was hoping the cure would happen before she did. He was hoping this little adventure would not only get the adrenaline flowing, but the costume he had picked out for Ayla would help: a skin tight leather outfit, leaving just enough for is imagination to run wild. . .

So, he had asked his lover to join him in the holodeck for some fun. His message said to meet him at 1400 hours and he would have everything prepared. The rest was a mystery. . . .

There was an unmistakable grin of anticipation on Ayla’s face as she arrived for whatever surprise Remy had in store for her. In truth, she had been giving him his space and not forcing him to talk about whatever it was that was going on with him. The downside to them serving on the Wolverine together was that on such a small ship she was the only counsellor. While she was perfectly able to be his therapist and could be the check-and-balance he as a CO needed, when it came to something involving both of them in their relationship, it got far more difficult. So for the time being she was letting it be. If he wanted to talk about it, he would. But if the issues continue, he had to know she wasn’t going to simply pretend nothing was wrong.

But a surprise on the holodeck more than piqued her curiosity, so a couple minutes to 1400 hours, she arrived.

As Ayla stepped into the holodeck, she would see Remy with his back to the door, looking out of what appeared to be a medieval city. They were on what appeared to be a stone roof of a strong three story building. Thatched, wooden roofs and other stone buildings were visible as far as she could see. A massive stone castle was off in the distance, with a setting sun slowly sinking below the horizon.

Remy was leaning forward resting an elbow on his knee as his foot rested on the stone parapet surrounding the roof. He turned as he heard the deck doors open and close.

“I am so glad you decided to join, cher.”

The setting sun was in her eyes, so Ayla wouldn’t be able to get a clear look at him until he moved closer. The outfit he was wearing was something she probably wasn’t expecting.

In his hands he held another leather outfit for Ayla. Handing it to her, Remy leaned in a gave her a kiss. “Dis is for you. Sometine similar for dis lil adventure I ‘ave planned for de two of us. Jus’ to escape reality for a bit, an’ to give a small taste of what my life was like before Starfleet. De settine is to make tines a bit more adventurous.”
