Remy did a double take as Alita ? stepped onto the bridge. Shaking his head in disbelief, he asked, “Are you in you’ right mind, at least? I am runnine out of crew to man de sta-SHONS.”
Alita nodded as she went towards Ayla.
“Too much boy soup in my brain, but I’m good. I feel for Cel though.”
=^= Petrov to the Captain.=^=
=^=- I currently cannot reverse the process. I need medical to look everyone over and conduct scans. Then I can check those scans with the trasnporter buffer system and see where we differ and what I can do.=^=
Petrov
=^=Ahearn and Thienna are still in sick bay gettine scanned. I’ll ‘ave medical send you dat informa-SHON as soon as possible. Keep doine whatever you can, Petrov.=^=
Being sensitive to the impressions of others, Alita would instantly feel the pain that Ayla was in as she sat in one of the command chairs. She was breathing deeply to try to keep her mind off of it, but she wasn’t sure if it would be enough. She also wasn’t sure if she’d be able to walk to Sickbay, so there was gladness that someone had come up to the bridge.
Lt. Sharise, CNS
As Alita approached the counselor, he gave her an order. “AFTER you ‘ave figured out what is wrong wit’ Ayla an’ Bryson, you get back to sickbay to get scanned. I need all de crew to get back to dere original form, shape, selves. . . “
Alita frowned as she began to scan Ayla.
“Already been scanned so unless you’re ordering me to have another one I’m going to scan the Counselor and the XO as thoroughly as possible.” she said.
Alita realized her annoyed tone was probably out of place but it was Cel’s snarky voice, not hers.
Still near Ayla, Remy looked over at his XO. “Bryson, you ‘angine in dere, mon ami?”
Boudreaux (CO)
Just then, Wells arrived on the Bridge. Assessing the situation, she asked, “Is there anything I can assist with, Captain?”
GM
The Commander was about to answer when Wells stepped onto the Bridge. The XO had been wondering where Wells had gone. Unfortunately, he was too caught up in his stomach pains to even answer the CO or ask Wells where she had gone off to.
XO
“Tell me about the pain Ayla.” Alita said scanning Ayla with the medical tricorder.
- Alita, MO/COS
“It’s very sharp, in much stomach. It comes and goes but leaves me breathless,” Ayla said in a hushed voice, still trying to breathe as evenly as possible. The more relaxed she was, the less intense the pain would hit her. That was the hope anyway.
Lt. Sharise, CNS
It worked, briefly. But she now felt the need to use the restroom. Urgently.
Alita nodded and went to flick hair off of her left ear realizing that it wasn’t there. Shrugging, she began to scan Ayla’s abdomen.
“I don’t know what to give you for the pain yet, I’m sorry.”
- Alita, MO/COS
The medical tricorder indicated the presence of a foreign virus or bacteria. It was hard to localize.
“Oh Gods,” Ayla muttered, rising from the seat quickly. “I’ll be back,” she grumbled and headed very quickly to the lavatory.
Alita rose and following after Ayla but looking down at her hand she realized that that would be awkward on a new level.
‘Damn I want my body back.’ She thought.
Finally, with Ayla and Bryson being looked after, Remy turned to Wells. “Commandeer, you are a scientist, no? I need you to man de science sta-SHON. Run a scan of de area an’ see if dere is any anomalous material in de immediate area that may have caused problems for de crew, any of de crew!!”
“Aye sir.”
He sat back down in the center seat with a tired ‘plop’. “‘Elm, how far away is de course you plotted? ‘Ow long will it take us to reach de coordinates?”
Boudreaux (CO)
“Half hour sir, but most of the vessels we scanned at the Outpost are considerably slower. We’d be there at least 3 or 4 hours earlier.”
Wells then spoke up, “I am not detecting any anomalous readings, Captain. I’m not a doctor, sir, but maybe it is something the away team interacted with recently?”
GM
Lt. Sharise, CNS
“Hmm. I would tend to agree for the moment.”
OOC: I know you said the station pretty much split apart into separate ships when the alarm went off, but is there anything left of the station? Any other ships still within the immediate area. If not, please void my following comment about getting a sample of the air on the station.
IC: Remy turned to watch Ayla hurry out and then shifted his gaze to Bryson. “Did you eat or drink anytine on de sta-SHON, Bryson? What ‘bout you, ‘Lita? Do you remember seeing Thienna eat anything? What ‘bout Ahearn?”
The Commander shook his head, since his response wasn’t going to be audible at the moment. He realized that moving less and not talking helped him focus on mentally subduing the pain, but whatever it was.... felt like food poisoning times ten.
“I can’t say about anybody else, but Cel and myself, we were going to drink some fruit juice concoction but all hell broke loose before then. Maybe that’s a good thing.”
“If it’s not in de food or drink, it ‘as to be an airborne virus. . . “
He began ripping off orders to the various departments.
=^=Mr. Petrov, I wan’ you to transport an air sample over from de sta-SHON. Beam it into a containment unit an’ get it to de science lab.=^=
“‘Lita, get you’ scans of Lt. Sharise an’ Cmdr. Erin to de lab as well. Have science and medical compare you’ scans, de air sample, an’ scan results from you, Thienna, Ahearn, an’ anyone else dat was on de sta-SHON. Maybe all of dis is related an’ if we can narrow down dis bacteria, we can neutralize it an’ get everyone back to normal. . . .”
Alita moved over to where Commander Bryce was and began scanning him.
“I already have a sample of the Counselor. I’ll leave as soon as I get the commander’s.” she said.
- Alita, MO/COS
“Do what you need to do, Lieutenant.” The XO groaned. He was a tad surprised that he wasn’t given a mild sedative. At least that would have worked a little magic.
XO
=^=Lt. Ahearn, Mr. Petrov is beaming over an air sample from de sta-SHON in a containment vessel. Analyze de sample for any bacteria. Compare you’ findines wit’ de medical scans of de away teams.=^=
“‘Elm, stay right ‘ere until dere is confirma-SHON we ‘ave an air sample secured.”
Boudreaux (CO)
