Mikel was not happy with what had become of his engines. Getting rid of all the unnecessary experimental equipment though did make him happy. He had plans to ask the new CNS out on a “date” of sorts but for right now he was with his team going over the engines centimeter per centimeter. He found some conduit issues and had his team on it. He himself watched and occasionally bullied an inept engineer out of his way and did thing right. Then he would set them back to their work.

He had taken an offer from his new nemesis, the XO, to ask for new equipment and upgrades. They had given their pound of flesh to R&D and now he wanted some back. He asked for and received a new set of RCS thrusters. These were the same models but with significant upgrades. In this case they could, if working correctly improve maneuverability by .05% which give how well the Brazen Class was with maneuverability already could give it a distinct advantage over other ships who prized power over maneuverability. You cannot hit what you cannot touch.

Mikel looked over the designs on his PaDD. He then watched as the team began removing the old thrusters one by one. It was work outside so the engineers had EVP suits and thrusters to work with plus some automated systems. It was not terribly difficult but rather tedious. He was more interested in the refitting of the new ones. They were interchangeable so that should not pose any issues. However even with a slight increase in power there had to be reinforcement for the support systems around then, changing of conduits etc..It was never as easy as plug and play.
