The shuttle from the Wolverine settled down on the ground and power went to standby. NE Franklin stepped to the hatch and opened the door. Looking around and seeing… well… not much; he tapped his commbadge. =/\= Lieutenant Petrov. NE Franklin form the Wolverine, sir. I’m here to take you back to the ship. =/\=

Franklin

=^=I’m on my way=^= Petrov answered as if it was the gallows that called.

Of course the Vulcans were no joy to spend time with either so either way it was the blank faces of the Vulcans or the lunacy of the Wolverine.

He arrived at the bay.

“Lets go Ensign. Make it a slow trip. I am in no hurry.” He said as he boarded with nothing. The Vulcans had given him some robes to wear but he left those behind and put on his now clean uniform.

Petrov CE

“Aye, sir.” Franklin replied. He sealed the hatch and made his way to the pilot’s chair and powered up the craft.

As they rose into the atmosphere, Franklin said “Uh, sir? I was told to tell you that you need to report to the Captain as soon as we get back, sir. Just so you are aware… sir.” The Ensign was obviously nervous around the Chief Engineer, and kept his eyes glued to the controls.

The Vulcan Commodore saw Lt. Petrov off. “Safe journeys, Lieutenant. Peace and long life,” said the Commodore, while holding the traditional Vulcan greeting with his hand.
