There, he was greeted by a female Vulcan Ensign named T’Lanna.

“Welcome to Vulcan, Lieutenant Petrov. Vulcan High Command informed us of your situation. Temporary quarters have been assigned to you for the duration of your stay or until new orders come in. A shuttlecraft is being made ready in the event your Captain requests for your immediate return.”

GM

“Thank you.” Petrov answered . He was usually short with others but in this case he was happy to be somewhere civilized and in reality it was hard to try and be superior to a Vulcan anyway. He followed the Vulcan who led him to his quarters. He was keen for a shower and some sleep.

Petrov CE

The quarters opened to reveal a decent size living space, a standard replicator, and a bathroom area that would likely contain a sonic shower. “Doctor Jivek examined your transporter log records and deemed that you do not require a further examination at this time, but recommends you rest and eat. Commodore Pell, the commander of this facility, will want to see you in 9 hours, Lieutenant. Is there anything else you require, sir?”

“No thank you.” Mikel answered.

“Very well. Am I dismissed, sir?” asked the Ensign.

“Yes Dismissed.” Mikel said almost forgetting the ensign was present.

After Petrov answered in affirmative, the Vulcan Ensign left.

He then took the shower and quickly used the replicator to get some food and drink.

Petrov CE

8 hours passed, and the computer alarm went off. “The time is now 1500 hours. Communications to the Federation and Starfleet Subspace Network has been restored,” chirped the computer.

Petrov rose and went to the terminal in his room.

“Computer Lt. Mikel Petrov. Chief Engineer of the USS Wolverine. Identify my voice and biological print. Raise the USS Wolverine Priority 2. Calling the same. Attn Captain.=^=

“Voice and biological identification confirmed,” said the computer, “Transmission in progress.”

Mikel really didn’t want to call the ship but failing to do so would be a violation of protocols so as such he did. Maybe they would just leave him alone and he could get off Vulcan and somewhere better. Get a break from that Captain it that crew. Heck the whole ship for that.

Petrov CE

The call connected to the USS Wolverine, and it was routed to the Captain.
