As the team left the shop, Riley brushed past the Security Chief and suddenly was holding the PaDD. “I paid for it. It’s mine.” and gave her a wink. He pressed the commbadge and said =/\= Wolverine, beam us up. =/\=

=/\= Aye sir. Energizing! =/\=

He looked at Alita and said “You and I head straight for the Skipper’s office. We’ll take a gander at this together while we wait for him. Meantime, might wanna get tabs on the entire crew, Lieutenant.”

Alita was really in the mood to hit something but it certainly wouldn’t be the XO, unless he would agree to spar with her sometime in the near future. He was right of course but, technically, so was she. In this matter though, she would be a good girl and follow orders, head straight for the skipper office, and keep tabs on the rest of the crew.

“The Captain has not yet returned from his away mission, sirs,” said the transporter chief.

“When he gets here, tell him to meet us in my office.” the XO said and went to the door and down the passageway to the turbolift.

Arriving at his office he scanned the video file for any issues before linking the PaDD to the holographic interface in his desk and playing the footage.

As Alita followed the XO, she carried on several rapid fire conversations with Diaz and another NE before stepping in behind him. It was easy for her to be in two places at once with the right PaDD.

Glancing around, she took a seat, her attention was split between keeping tabs on the rest of the crew and what Riley was doing.

The security footage showed Petrov yawning and bored, as he left the shop. The shop’s holographic recording continued to show his position outside of the shop. Petrov walked around. An invisible pair of hands seemed to appear out of nowhere, and a cloth covered Petrov’s face. Then both disappeared.

The sensor data from the logs given showed that there was nothing unusual, other than the single bio signature disappeared. As for the pair of hands, the sensors did not register anything… Or the shopkeeper’s sensors and security system was insufficient to detect anything. Given the valuable artifacts the shopkeeper kept, the latter seemed unlikely. Either way, the data needed to tell who kidnapped Petrov, their height, size or anything else seemed not to be present. The data was confirmed to be intact, as the file signature’s identification showed a match, and that the type of security recording file could not be easily altered.

Records on the old lady showed she was an honest and upstanding Federation citizen who use to run several museums before retiring to Risa and setting up this store.

Watching that footage and looking at the relevant data almost had Alita out of her chair but, she managed to stay seated.

“Now we both know that’s not right. I have to tell you I’ve spent a lot of time with programs and I’d love to tear this one apart and see what I can find.”

OOC: Just as a reminder… since the enemy is using supernatural objects – both Fin and Mado would say the data is accurate, but alarming that Petrov was kidnapped using artifacts.
