Acadia had been about to throw the first volley of rocks when the explosion split the air and the klaxon went off for everyone to evacuate. “Well, that wasn’t the plan, but works for me.” She laughed at Mado and touched his arm in reassurance before dropping it with a quick blush on her cheeks. Turning away to hide it, she called to the others. “That’s the bell, boys and girls. Let’s get out of there. The closest exit is this way. Let’s do like the nice computer voice suggests and evacuate.” She tried to laugh but her heart was racing.

Kadence glanced at the Captain and smiled. “Let’s get out of here. I’m thinking a nice drink is in order.” She laughed and winced as her pain kicked in from moving. “Come on, Sir.” She laughed once more and realized that in rushing back, she was rushing to Reilly and an explanation of why she didn’t use her bracelet. Well, she wasn’t on a mission and didn’t want to disrupt whatever he was doing. That’s all that came to mind. She just hoped it was enough.

Fin skidded to a halt next to Mado, kicking up a small cloud of dirt. “Not sure what I’ve gotten myself into, but I came as soon as I could. Mado, I presume?”

“Lieutenant Andreas Mado, Federation Security Attache. And you are?” asked Mado.

((ok, need to pause a beat… Mado and Acadia were in the building on one side, Capt and Kadence in building on other. Fin arrived outside (according to the GM) the building (cause of dampening and force fields, threw a grenade which shorted out the systems. The four inside are being told her skeddatle outside (along with other personnel)… so I am gonna stick some posts in between Fin and Mado because she couldn’t ‘skid to a halt beside him’ if she’s outside and he’s inside… right? If I am completely wrong, please lemme know))

OOC: I don’t think Remy and Kadence ever made it into the building before they started getting shot at and were just kind of hunkered down behind some debris sitting outside when the others arrived.

OOC: I just assumed you were in a warehouse like area, with containers and the like scattered around. You aren’t in the target building, but the defense system is covering the entire area.

Remy hesitated, looking between the group and the building that housed the item they were searching for.

“Dere is still an artifact in dat buildine. Dat is what we came to get. I don’ plan to leave wit’out it,” Remy replied setting his jaw tightly.

Boudreaux (CO)

“Getting out a forcefield would be tricky, Captain,” said Mado, “It might be best to return for it later, unless our newest arrival has a suggestion?”

OOC: Ok, so the four of us are in the warehouse corridors, and Fin is coming in now… got it!

Kadence frowned and shook her head before looking at Mado. “You two should go meet whoever saved us and see if we can get an emergency beam out soon as we lay hands on the artifact. Captain and I will see if we can grab the damned thing before the systems reboot.” She knew they only had a moment before things came back online. They had to hurry.

Acadia nodded. “Let’s go, Mado.” She glanced back at Kadence. “Use the bag. It’s tempting not to. Trust me. But make sure you use the glove and bag!” There was fear on the edge of her voiced warning and she hoped they understood how vital that was.
