Her roll out of the way was awkward at best and she growled a curse. “Damn it! Captain I’m hit, but ok.” She was lieing but they had to get out of there. “I’m going to toss my bag down the hall ahead of us. When the system fires, you need to take it out. Understand?” She winced and bit her lip to keep the Captain from hearing.

Reilly was gonna kill her.

A moment too late, Remy saw the second turret pop up and fire. “Kadence!!!” he shouted, as he fired again a moment to0 late. He had seen her fall and roll before ducking back under his own cover.

“Dammit!! I tought you said you were fast?!?” From where she had landed, Remy was able to peek out and see she was in pain.

“Do no’ move. I got dis.”

He scrounged around for a baseball sized rock. Getting a feel for it’s weight, he tossed it slightly into the air a few time. When he was ready, he threw the rock at he turret hopefully to hit it. If nothing else, at least to draw its’ fire. He ducked back behind his cover and then made a dash toward Kadence, firing his phaser at the same time toward the automated weapon. . . .

Boudreaux (CIO)

The turret aimed at the rock, and the Captain was successfully able to disable the wall-turret. “Warning! Primary system defenses are down. Activating secondary defenses…”

Remy growled, “Tu te fous de moi ?” before ducking back under cover.

Multiple teleportation sounds could be heard, as new turrets were beamed in. They immediately fired at the Captain and Counselor, but lucky for them, they had ducked and avoided the new phaser fire.

It was at that moment, they heard Mado in the distance shout, “Captain! Counselor! Are you alright?!”

“MADO!!!” the captain called out. “Lt. Argona is ‘it, bu’ no’ seriously injured. We are pinned down. Be careful, dis place ‘as some hi-tech defenses. Dere more ‘ere dan meets de eye!”

Boudreaux (CO)

Kadence growled. She wasn’t hurt ‘that’ bad. Right on the heels of the Captain’s comments, she piped up. “We can distract the shooters. But you need to take them out. We’ll only have a small window before more show up. So make sure we can be beamed out soon as they open the field to beam more in.” She glanced at the Captain to be sure he understood what she was saying as well.

“Understood sir!” replied Mado, shouting back. “Suggestions, Ms. LeBlanc?” asked Mado.

Acadia held her hand up. “Gimme a second. Ok, she said there are multiple turrets. So if they get them focused on them, it’ll be too much. We need to get a distraction big enough to get all their attention and allow a target that isn’t my crewmates.” She looked around to see if there was something she could throw. “We may have to do this a few at a time.”

She glanced around for something to use for a target to throw. “Kadence, Captain… hang on. We’re gonna try and take these out a few at a time. If you focus them all on you at once, it’ll be too much.” She wasn’t sure if she was right. But she couldn’t afford to be wrong.
