OOC: I don’t know. I think I was waiting for someone to respond to the lady to show proof of currency, but I wasn’t sure if Petrov just took the case and showed her the proof or not.

GM

Alita nodded and stepped up smartly, old time earth mobster movies would have called her the money honey. She had a small case inside a large elegant bag she was carrying over her left shoulder. Slipping it out, she opened it just for the woman to see, Alita’s green eyes meeting her gaze coolly.

“Now you show me yours.” Alita said sweetly.

  • Alita, Money Honey

The elderly woman pulled out a tricorder, and verified the case contents. “Well, I guess you are customers then. Rare as it is… please, do come in. What is that you are looking for?” asked the woman.

GM

Reilly nodded and said “Something from the Sol system would go best with the decor of the beach house. And… unique. A real conversation starter, as it were. Our employer isn’t one for having the same things as the neighbors. He does fancy himself the collector, after all.”

Reilly, XO

“Take a look around, young man, but don’t touch anything. Most of our antiques are from Earth. As the old saying goes, you break it, you buy it,” said the old lady, escorting them into the shop.

There were a lot of old relics, antiques, and things in the shop. Paintings, vases, even old electronics. It all looked like junk, in one way. Most objects were in glass containers, presumably vacuum sealed to preserve the relic in question. There wasn’t anything that screamed out unusual… only because the assortment of things was unusual itself. The ultimate problem was that they didn’t have anyone with them to help them identify anything and didn’t have any tools either… so the group of Starfleeters were pretty much aiming in the dark.

Moving with great care, the xeno-archeologist began to look over the venders wares. The Gnal found the tramping of old earth fascinating. Reaching behind his collar he pulled out his hand scanner, and began to give the antiques a cursory inspection.

The tricorder, which was not one of Mado’s specially modified ones, gave the standard information of its age and material composition.

Morning Bright”

Alita had stayed close to “Morning Bright”.

“Oh my family would love it here.” she whispered as she helped him trough any narrow areas. They may have latinum but she didn’t want to spend it on repairs to the old woman’s shop.

  • Alita, MO/COS

“ Do you come from a large clutch, Miss Alita? The idea of my clutch mates in this shop is…, well unsettling.” Many isles were just two narrow for his bulk, but most items could be examined with his greater reach.

“Morning Bright”

Petrov gave some cursory looks at items. The old saying that one mans junk is another mans treasure was lacking to him. Junk was junk.

Alita nodded and smiled at “Morning Bright”.

“Yes, I think it would be considered large by today’s Human standards and they like to keep records. A curious habit but interesting none the less.”

  • Alita, MO/COS

“You’re lucky,” Lily said. “I am an only child. I had the kids of the commune but that is not the same as real brothers and sisters,” Lily said looking about the story next to Morning Bright and Alita. “This place reminds me of home,” she picked something up examining it. “All haphazard pieces but they fit in a warm eclexctic design.”

Lily Locksley CMO

“Anything you folks find interesting?” asked the old lady.

GM

Reilly watched the group peruse and then smiled at the shop owner. “An impressive assortment, Madame. Im optomistic we can find something suitable. Excuse me a moment, won’t you?” and he stepped outside the shop and walked a few meters down the street. Stopping in a small alcove, he tapped his commbadge in his breast pocket and said quietly =/\= Reilly to Mado. We found a source of artifacts sgenerally similar to the ones in question. But without more to specify what we are looking for, our options are too many to single anything out. =/\=

Reilly, XO

The comm had no response. Possibly because Mado had gone radio silent.

Mikel took the opportunity to be himself.

“How much for it all?” He asked from behind the others as he continued to glibly look at one item and then another.

Petrov CE

“More than that case you have there,” replied the old lady promptly.

Coming back inside, Reilly looked at the proprietor and smiled then looked around. His eyes settled on a brass globe. “Still… it is a question that deserves an answer, I think. Unless there are any pieces in particular you are hesitant to part with, of course.”

Reilly, XO

Petrov would be suspicious of any business person that did not at least get a little excited about clearing out their inventory and making a good profit doing so.

Petrov CE

“2 billion gold pressed latinum bars. The majority of inventory you see on display is not actually here, and is a holographic projection. With a few minor pieces which are not worth much,” replied the old lady.
