Holosuite - Deck 7 (Tag Fin)
Posted by Ensign Coryn Vinoda (Security) in Holosuite - Deck 7 (Tag Fin)
Coryn had always been astounded by the marvels of holographic technology, but his exposure to it had been limited especially during his frontline deployments. Working on such a small ship with its own holosuite was quite the luxury for the security officer. He’d placed a written request shortly after boarding for a regular time in the suite. While the ship had a gym, it like the rest of the ship felt too sanitary… so Coryn preferred to bring his own… and seeing as this was a gym simulation he didn’t bother locking the suite thinking there might be others who might enjoy such an environment for one reason or another.https://i.pinimg.com/originals/6c/b0/60/6cb0600358daa697a5e3884b5353e220.jpg
From the main portion of the gym, it was possible to see a gazebo several meters away. It was storming, rain lashing and lightning flashing. Beneath the gazebo was the lone security officer circling the heavy bag. The man bobbed and weaved his way around the bag, moving his head to avoid the phantom strikes of an unseen opponent before snapping off two and three punch combinations. He had long since lost track of time as he settled into his rhythm. His silent fight had thus far gone uninterrupted, the weather serving as an a barrier to the simulations various training characters.

Since the ship was so much smaller than she was used to, Fin found her usual ability to run the corridors for a cardio workout to be frustrating. Working out was physically and mentally necessary for her to keep everything stressful under control. Dressed in a white tank top and navy blue shorts, she paused and leaned against the bulkhead as two of the crew passed her. A string of her native language left her mouth. It was evident to the passers by that she was not pleased about something.
She gave them an ingenuine smile and nod as they hurried out of her way. There has got to be a better way of getting my exercise in. Instead of calming me like usual, I am growing more frustrated with every passing minute. But what to do?
=/\=Computer, is the holodeck in use right now?=/\=
=/\=Affirmative. An exercise program is currently running.=/\=
Well, that was good luck. Perhaps she could get whoever was there to let her join them? =/\=Computer, is the program locked?=/\=
Once again the voice answered. =/\=The program is not locked. The entrance has been left open.=/\=
“Thank you.” Fin said to the AI even though it wasn’t necessary. It only took a minute or two to travel to deck 7. With curiosity and a dash of hopefulness, she activated the door and walked in to the holodeck. Cool rain immediately soaked her, but it felt wonderful so she stood her ground to see who was there.
One side of Fin’s mouth rose in a smile as she spotted the newbie who’d brought her coffee. He was quite a sight, sweaty, with his hair mussed and muscles prominent from his workout.
Walking over toward the gazebo, in no hurry, she watched him, appreciating the grace and purpose of each movement. A sudden flash of lightning illuminated her for a second or two. “Hey there.”
