“Um… if we don’t do something about this, sickbay will be flooded shortly,” said a nurse in a panic voice.

=/\= Engineering can you lock onto the....broom,=/\= her voice wavered for a second only because her request sounded crazy and she was seeing what she was about to report. There was no way engineering wasn’t going to think she was mental after she finished the statement. =/\=in sick bay and beam it out into space=/\=. Looking at the people in sick bay, Lily shrugged. “Let’s see if it can get back to its portal from outside the ship?”

Mado arrived on the scene. “Doctor Locksley, what happened here?” asked Mado.

“Aside from us getting flooded and a broom that is attacking anyone that tries to stop is like a nun at catholic school with a ruler not much.” Lily couldn’t stop the thick layer of sarcasm slipping from her lips. She had no idea what to do or how to stop it save one. =/\=How do you not see he broom =/\= she groaned. =/\=Fine set the transporters to lock on the water in the room and transport that into space. She wasn’t sure this was even possible but bailing water out of a ship was the cure for taking on water since time memorial.

“Don’t…” said Mado, but it was too late.

=/\= Um, sorry, Doctor… For some reason, every time we try to target the water for transport, the transporter gives an unexplained error and then we have to forcibly restart the transporter system. I’m going to have to take this transporter offline, but I don’t want to risk the other transporter because the Commander will be beaming down shortly. Also, the Commander is looking for you for the away team mission. =/\=

“So… who touched the weird thing that started this?” asked Mado, “I’ll take care of this, Doctor.”

Lily looked right and left at the occupants in the room. “You are gonna take care of all this.....before the cappy finds out?” It was a completely rhetorical question. She did not want anyone to say no or change their mind on the offer. Turning on her heel she exited sickbay and headed to meet up with the away team.

“I’ll make a full report, Doctor, the Captain will be notified after the crisis is dealt with. Enjoy Risa, Doctor! Now… who touched the weird thing that started this?” asked Mado again.

Bryson exited the turbolift and walked the short distance to Sickbay. He didn’t understand what the Lieutenant meant by broom, but only knew that it was causing chaos in Sickbay. He wondered if the pin that was delivered to Lily had anything to do with it. Stepping up to the door, Commander Erin walked in and hoped for the best.

The door to sickbay was leaking a little bit of water. The door, wouldn’t open. It seemed that he would have perform a manual override to enter. Upon overriding the door control, Erin would observe the water was a meter high, and the appropriate amount of water rushed out the door of sickbay, as he pried open the door. Erin could also feel intense steam and moisture, as it was apparent that someone was using a phaser to try to evaporate the water. Emergency force fields activated in the sections near sickbay, to prevent the water from reaching other parts of the deck. At this point, they were trapped.

A magical portal was on the wall of the sickbay, where the broom with arms and two brown wooden buckets would appear and disappear with the water it seemed to carry and dump on the ground of sickbay. “Ah, Commander… all attempts to stop the broom have been unsuccessful. It’s invulnerable to phaser fire, evaporating the water only does so much. The only way to stop this is to find the artifact responsible and neutralize the artifact in the containment bag or one of the specialized containers,” said Mado. A nurse was trying to get the replicator to accept the excess water by recycling full glasses of water, but it seemed the nurse and sickbay were quickly loosing the battle. “Do you know what might have triggered this?”

IC: “I’m assuming Ensign Lockley left you with this mess?” Bryson questioned, as he looked down at his now soaked uniform.

“I happened to have a strange feeling to report to sickbay, and so I did, only to discover this. I asked Dr. Lockley to leave me to handle this, considering she had to leave for the away team.”

“Did Lily touch the pin?” The Commander asked while wading through the water. The Operations Manager observed the nurse trying to fill up glasses of water and chuckled at her efforts.

“What pin? Show me, immediately,” stated Mado immediately.

“No sir, Ensign Celador Theinna touched it,” said one of the nurses.

“Rhodes and I were down in the cargo bay trying to enlarge the car, but the transporters were offline.” Commander Erin stated.

“Enlarge what car? Never mind, we’ve got to find that pin now, Commander.”

“But I doubt that would have led to this....” Bryson paused for a moment as he watched the broom reappear with two buckets of water. “Has anyone tried to hold it here so it couldn’t disappear to get more?” He asked.

“Commander, the world that I deal in is strange, unusual and has its unique wonders. But yes, it is possible for the pin to cause this,” replied Mado in a matter of fact tone.

“It should be in the Doc’s office.” Bryson stated as he slowly made his way over to Lily’s desk. Commander Erin didn’t see the box on the desk, so he threw open a few drawers to see if the box was in one of those.

=^= Computer, at this rate how long will it take until Sickbay is submerged in water?=^= Bryson asked the computer, trying to see how long they had to reverse whatever happened.

“At present rate water appearing, 6 hours and 23 minutes,” chirped the computer.

“We’re in an episode of Looney Toons,” Duncan muttered, shaking his head in disbelief at what was going on. “Anybody tried clicking their heels together three times and saying they want to go home, yet?” Wading towards Erin, Duncan stopped and looked at him questiongly. “What pin that Lily was given?”

“Dorothy’s shoes are real, Lieutenant, so I wouldn’t joke about that,” replied Mado seriously, “And they summon a tornado, mind you. But the wearer is protected and can travel using the tornado… anyone else is unfortunately, not so fortunate.”

“Lets just hope those shoes aren’t aboard now, Lieutenant.” Commander Erin stated, “This ship won’t be able to handle a tornado.” The Operations Manager turned to Rhodes. “Lily was given a box that held this pin, we originally thought it was from you.....” It was very obvious now that the pin hadn’t come from Duncan, but that only raised more questions on why it was sent to Lily in the first place.
