“Everytine what?” Remy inquired as he exited the bedroom. This time, he was dressed, comfortably and casual would be an understatement. The white t-shirt he was wearing had the sleeves cut off at the shoulders and was well worn. The blue Starfleet Academy insignia across the chest was faded and stretched. One would have to be fairly close to read the faded lettering. The red shorts he wore had at one time been longer sweatpants. Time had necessitated they be cut off at just above the knees and to flow freely as he walked. Across the bottom of the left leg another Starfleet Academy insignia, this time in faded white, showed more years of wear. A pair of leather flip-flops finished his ensemble.

He finished toweling off his hair and then ran both hands through his dark locks to keep it out of his face.

Stepping to the table, Remy inhaled deeply over each of the pots and after each a look of ecstasy spread across his face.

“If evertine tastes as good as it smells, boo, you are goine to make Tantie Mattie jealous. It has been a long time since anyone has come close to her dishes. I am impressed!!!”

As Alita watched Remy walk across the room and inhale the aromas of what she had to offer, the answer to his question faded from her mind. The mention of his relative, however, reminded her that she had left most family things in her quarters. It had actually not been a conscious decision. Ever since she and Remy had found out about their familial relationship she had been on an emotional roller coaster of sorts. He was the answer to a family mystery, an honored place on a family tree, her Captain, her colleague, someone she would go anywhere with, and trust with her life. But Alita had done the math many times. She had never grown up with this man. The genetics said the family bond was there and even though she saw the resemblance all throughout the family tree she was having a hard time reconciling it with the person standing before her now. The one thing she was completely uncertain of was if she was bold enough to ask his feelings on the subject.

Snapping out of her thoughts, Alita realized there was something missing.

“Well I’m glad you like it so far because it’s not coming back to my quarters with me. I’ve been training for an Ironman triathlon and this is my reward for being very very good.” she explained holding Remy’s eyes for a bit too long, “But I have one more thing and then we can start eating. Please feel free to serve yourself.”

Alita walked over to the cart and bent low to retrieve something from bottom tray. This would no doubt reveal the work that Alita had been doing in her off hours. Her calves were chiseled supporting lean thighs and a firm derrière all accentuated by black heels.

“So dat’s what it is,eh? I’ve noticed you puttine extra time in de ‘olodeck.” He watched as she bent down and noticed the well developed muscles in her legs and tight glutes. “The work you ‘ave been doine definitely shows in you’ legs and ass. . . ass . . . .oder assets.”

He had to turn away to hide the slight reed tint to his cheeks. For the moment he was content to full a glass with the bourbon she had brought along.

Standing slowly she turned and brought the tray of biscuits.

“You’ll have to let me know how you like my buns.”

  • Alita

Remy stopped mid pour as he straightened up. “You’ buns seem perfect.” He turned around and saw Alita with the biscuits in front of her. His gaze went from her eyes to the tray she held. “Yes, dey are perfect. I canno’ wait to get a ‘andful.” He looked back into her eyes as the room filled with a brief awkward silence. He broke the silence with a clearing of his throat then quickly drained his glass of all it’s contents.

He turned again to fill his glass and one for Alita. Taking a deep breath, he was grateful to be wearing the shorts a t-shirt.

“Whew!! Are you warm, boo? I am. It seems de temp has gone up slightly in ‘ere. I’ll ‘ave to ‘ave ops check it out tomorrow, possibly tonight, if it gets too warm to sleep. . . :

Boudreaux (CO)

Alita doubted Remy had x-ray vision so how could he have seen the biscuits before she turned around to hand them to him? It was obvious he was commenting on what was under her skirt. This made her heart beat fast and brought a flush to her cheeks which she tried to hide by downing the glass of bourbon which only made the flush worse.

Sighing she signaled the Remy should please pour her another one. It was going to be one of those nights… Whatever that meant.

Taking Alita’s glass, he quickly downed his second and refilled both.

“Nothing gets by you on this ship does it? No matter what affect of yourself you present to the crew nothing ever gets by you does it?” she asked.

Handing a full glass this time, back to Alita, he replied. “I’d like to tink dat be de case. Training since pretty much de day I could walk . . . watchine, observine, beine aware of de surroundines, after a while it becomes such a part of you, it ‘appens wit’out even tinkine about it.”

Standing again, Alita began serving, bending slightly to reach some of the dishes further across the table, the deep V of the neckline dipping dangerously low.

As she bent over, it gave Remy a clear view of what lay beneath her blouse. As his jaw dropped, he quickly turned back toward the bottle of bourbon and popped a couple of ice cubes into his mouth. Before Alita could straighten back up, he was facing her again with a closed smile as he sucked on the ice, trying to cool himself down.

Glancing up, she laughed, “Yeah, maybe it is a bit hot.”.

  • Alita

With the melting ice in his mouth, all Remy could do was swallow and reply, “MM-mmm.”

There was no doubt that Remy was a master at the flirtation game. Again, it almost came as second nature to him, but here was Alita, playing the game as well, if not better. She had definitely set Remy to reeling.

He hurriedly chewed up what was left of the ice and spoke. “Are. . .are you ready to do it? Get filled up, I mean?”

“To eat, dat is. I am ready to eat anytine you put in front of me. . . . “

Boudreaux (CO)

Alita was acutely aware of the fact that Remy seemed to be squirming a bit more than she had ever seen him. Perhaps it was just the bourbon. Perhaps other things were revealing themselves.

“You know, I actually thought of just making myself dessert… Um, bringing dessert. But what kind of woman would I be if I didn’t bring the whole menu? Please, help yourself.” Alita said pulling her plate closer.

  • Alita

Sitting down on Alita’s left on the couch, Remy grabbed a plate saying nothing and promptly began filling his plate with the items she had brought. Everything looked and smelled so delicious he was unsure of where to start. Looking at the full plate, Remy realized he was missing one of the biscuits she had prepared. Desperately wanting to taste the warm buns, he reached across the table in front of Alita. Leaning over and stretching, he was barely able to get his hand on one of them. With great effort, he finally able to get a hold of one. The act had unfortunately brought them much closer together.

As he began to lean back, Remy turned his head found his face with centimeters of Alita’s own. The pleasing scent of her hair momentarily washed out all the tantalizing smells of the food. He stopped and inhaled deeply before realizing what it was he was doing exactly.

If Alita was looking into his face, she would see what appeared to be his eyes temporarily lose focus. He blinked a few times coming, back to reality. He tried to speak, but all the came out was soft whisper, “Pardon . . .mon cher.”

Boudreaux (CO)

At that particular moment in time all of Alita’s past with Remy faded from her mind in a blink or two of those nice eyes of his. Her green ones sparkled back in return and she smiled back in return.

“Take your time. I did bring a lot.” she said softly.

  • Alita

Alita’s beauty was not lost on Remy, but it wasn’t until this moment that he realized how sultry and seductive she really was. The emerald green of her eyes sparkled brightly while her sensuously soft lips begged to be kissed. Time seemed to stop as he wondered exactly how those lips would taste. Would there still be the lingering hint of bourbon on her lips or would they burn more with a hint of the Cajun spices she had used in the meal. On top of all that, the smile she displayed seemed to tease him in an almost ‘I dare you to . . . . ’ taunt, almost issuing a challenge to him. And let’s face it, Remy Boudreaux wasn’t known for ever turning down a challenge. . . .

He tried desperately to pull his eyes away, but only succeeded in lowering his gaze to her chest and the memory of her bending over in front of him only a few moments ago, which in turn only caused his desire to grow (along with other things). . . . “ ‘Lita . . .I. . . ” was all he was able to get out. . . .

Boudreaux (CO)

“Um… You what?” Alita asked softly.

The air was indeed getting a bit warmer or, perhaps, it was the bourbon. Should they call Engineering about the environmental controls? The thought of Petrov made Alita’s heart race in a very bad way. He certainly didn’t belong in this moment but, according to Anna and Liza, neither did Alita. They had seen her attraction to Remy and warned her not to do exactly what she was doing at that moment. When she had spoken, had their lips brushed? She wasn’t certain. Whatever it was, it felt very good and part of her wanted more. Part of her knew this would only lead to confusion on some level but Alita had not grown up with this man and Remy had not known this woman.

Sighing, she simply smiled and innocently licked her lips.

That was just about the final straw to his resolve. She licked her lips and they glistened, taunting Remy to taste them, feel them, kiss them. . . .

‘Maybe we burn down the family tree.’ she thought.

  • Alita

His mind racing and blood pumping, he though about their link. The two of them were five generations distant. Surely the blood they shared has to have thinned out considerably by now. Remy tried to justify the desire he was feeling for this woman. It’s not like they were siblings, or even first cousin, but 5 generations between them. 5!!

He pulled eyes away for just a moment, long enough to set his food on the table before it ended on the floor or worse all over the two of them. He took Alita’s plate and did the same, quite sure she was okay with the action. As he turned back, he tilted his head slightly and raised a now empty hand to gently carress her cheek and slowly reach around the the back of her head.

“If we cross dis line, dere will be no comine back, cher. Are you sure. . . . .,” he whispered.

Boudreaux (CO)

This was everything Alita was told not to do but everything Alita wanted. Everything Alita had wanted since she set foot on the Wolverine. She had made a fool out of herself thinking there could ever be a future with K’Mar. What a strange situation that had been. Cel had been more intimate, but even stranger. But Remy had been calling to her in a way that was so familliar. All Alita could do was look into those eyes and nod then lean forward and kiss him.

  • Alita

Remy returned the kiss with an increased amount of passion and desire. Pulling Alita closer until she was cradled in his arms and lying across his lap. He ran one hand through her long dark hair, pulling it back revealing the soft, tender skin of her jawline and neck.

Lost in the moment, they continued to kiss for what seemed like hours, enjoying each others company. Finally pulling away from her mouth, he continued to move his lips to her neck, caressing it with tender, yet passionate kisses. When Remy reached her ear, he whispered, “We only need to take dis as far as you wan’ to. . . . .”

Boudreaux (CO)

When Alita had walked int Remy’s quarters she had no idea the evening would end up this way but, somehow, it all made perfect sense. And wherever it went was wherever it was meant to go.

“I’m not leaving…” she whispered.

  • Alita

He looked down at Alita and smiled before resuming the kiss. With one arm around her back, he slid the other under her knees and lifted her easily from the couch. Without so much as a pause, Remy made his way to the bedroom. . . . . .

Boudreaux (CO)

A few hours later…

Alita’s heart had finally settled back down as she lie on her back, sheets twisted about them both, eyes half closed. It was definitely too late to turn back now.

“You know, I was hungry before I walked in but now, I’m absolutely starving.”

Alita opened her eyes and rolled towards Remy uncertain if she wanted food or more of him.

  • Alita

Already turned on his side, Remy smiled as she turned to face him. “Well, if we ‘ad brought all de food in ‘ere it would all still be very (he leaned in a kissed her), very (another kiss), veeeeery ( a longer kiss) ‘ot.”

He rolled out of the bed and disappeared into the living area. He returned a moment later with a warm bowl of the shrimp gumbo she had prepared. Sitting down on the edge of the bed beside Alita, Remy scooped a spoonful and blew on it softly for a moment beforre holding the spoon to her mouth. “Bon appetit.”
