Trusty tricorder in hand, Bryson entered the cargo bay and directed his attention to the containment unit that held the car. After giving his voice authorization, the Commander lift the lid and moved it to the side. Commander Erin opened his tricorder and began another round of scans, hoping he’d find something different from the first time around.

The readings were strange as if the atoms of the vehicle were not properly aligned the way it was suppose to be normally. But the readings were intermittent between showing the car as normal and unnormal at the same time. Could it be that this car wasn’t actually a toy model?

Commander Erin took one look at the tricorder readings and burrowed his brows. “Interesting…” He said to himself. The Operations Manager took another scan of the car, but this time to take better readings of what the car was made of, and possibly what could also be inside the car.

“What do we have?” Duncan said as he stepped through the doors to the cargo bay. “Scanning it for a third time? Has anything changed?”

Lt Rhodes, CSO

“Take a look at this,” Bryson said handing over the tricorder to the CSO. ” The car’s atoms aren’t aligned and are fluxuating, definitely not normal whatsoever.” The Commander was hesitant in touching the toy in case it had some affect on him. “I just ran a scan of the material so we should get that back in a moment.”

The material was a plastic steel compound. It appears that Lt. Mado had been by and applied something, so there was some unknown purple residue on the car. The computer reported it was a classified chemical that was applied by Lt. Mado. If one were to guess about the atoms denseness, if the atoms were properly spaced, this “toy” would take the size of a standard crew quarters… and not fit in this lab they had now.

“If I’m not mistaken, this toy isn’t an actual toy.” Commander Erin stated as he looked over the new results. “…I’m also certain this classified residue might have something to do with the odd atom readings.” Bryson thought for a moment and sighed. “We might to be able to find the chemical compound of the purple residue, but if we create a model to show normal atom readings this car will be a lot larger.”

“Commander, Lt. Mado had splashed that purple stuff on that car and left the lab earlier before reporting to the Captain.”

“Luckily then we are in the cargo bay, isn’t it? It looks like the compound is making the atoms fluctuate. Perhaps it is realigning the atoms itself. We may need to remove it from containment and let it do it’s thing in the cargo bay, oh, and we should likely stand back.”

Lt Rhodes, CSO

”....Just what we need, a full-sized car.” Commander Erin said, taking a few steps back in case the automobile grew. “Anyway you can dissect the chemical compounds of the purple stuff after all?” Bryson said as he turned to the CSO.

“Perhaps we should ask Lt. Mado?” suggested the NE.

“That would be too easy.” Bryson joked. Commander Erin looked at the car and back to the CSO. “Maybe a visit to Mado wouldn’t be a bad idea, unless he’s going to give us the runaround.”

“Computer, locate Lt. Mado,” asked the NE
