D’vash arrived at Gully’s quarters just as the security detail arrived from the opposite direction.

“Do we have 100% confirmation that Gully was the victim. He could have been the assailant and was injured, leaving his blood at the scene.”

At this time a young man exited the quarters. His eyes widened in surprise seeing the XO standing outside. “Sorry sir, did not know you were waiting to come in. I’m actually late for my shift. Is there something I can help you with?” His gaze was a little nervous, but then whose wouldn’t be at this hour with the XO just loitering outside.
