As the lift opened, she handed the madman to two NEs. “Take him to the brig. Maximum security. Oscillating field around his cell. I don’t want him beamed out.” She made sure they had the man well in hand before turning back to the bridge. She glanced at everyone in turn, making sure everything was ok. But it was the CO and XO that her gaze lingered on the most. She wasn’t sure what she’d walked into, but it occurred to her she still had to report about the cargo bay discovery.
“Sir,” she spoke up the next time D’Vash met her eyes, “you should know what’s happened in the cargo bay.” She waited to see if he wanted it in private, or here.
Pretha
CoS“Give me some good news, Pretha.”
Odinson (XO)
Before Pretha could respond, the Captain spoke up.
“Helm, Full impluse. Lock Phasers and return fire. Bring us behind that warbird.” Hamilcar ordered, sitting down and looking at the tactical display on his console.
-CO
The Olympic came around and was briefly behind the warbird. Phaser fire damaged but did not drop their shields. Suket came to a halt and used thrusters to quickly turn around. She had decided to play chicken. All while firing weapons. Shields were at 77%. As sparks came down from the ceiling, one thing was clear. This ship was custom for a madwoman. A madwoman with no limits.

Reno held on. What more could he do? Well, he could white knuckle the console, but, oh, wait, he was doing that. Shields were up. Power was diverted to them. Essential systems were still online. “Diverting power to forward shields,” Reno called out. There could only be so much power that is put through there so what he did was going to be nominal, but still, nominal shields are better than no shields. He didn’t have to say it but he did anyway, “Forward phasers and torpedoes still in good shape.”
- Reno=Proximity Alert, large object within 10,000 kilometres.= The warbird wasn’t stopping. A torpedo missed the Olympic by a shred.
-Matrix
Reno froze. His mind had gone blank. A collision course? That was insane! Were they going to try to shoot them up? What could ..
.. the console beeped. A message from Sural. He spoke it as he read it .. “I have forward tractors as a repulsor. Could bump her aside …” that was nuts! He didn’t say it but thought that was simply crazy of an idea. Idly he wondered if Sural was part Texan for coming up with such an idea …
- Reno, Eng“Do it.” Hamilcar ordered.
Reno punched the console to activate the beam then held on, eyes wide as the ship grew quickly in the screen.
The reverse tractor beam deflected the warbird starboard, but the ships still scraped together. A hull breach was forming on deck 3, the starboard nacelle pylon was damaged, and shields were down to 34%. The warbird was in equal or worse condition.
Despite hanging on he still crunched against the panels that took the wind out of him and, possibly, bruised a rib or two and dropped him down to his knees. “Deck 3 hull breach! Shields at 34% Starboard nacelle pylon damaged. Details coming,” he said through gritted teeth, pulling himself up to his seat. Sural had already responded. “Damage control teams dispatched.” He would let the tactical person give the lowdown on the Rommie ship. He had this one to attend to.
- RenoHamilcar managed to stay in his chair when the ships collided.
A Starfleet signature emerged from warp. =/\=Romulan vessel. This is Captain Christopher Drake of the USS Triton. You are hereby ordered to leave Federation space immediately.=/\= The Sovereign class vessel opened fire. Suket’s ship turned for the Neutral Zone. “Sir… The Triton is hailing us.” The bridge looked like it had been through everything it had been through.
-Matrix
“Open a channel.” Hamilcar said, standing up and moving towards the view screen.
-CO
D’vash straightened himself and his uniform and moved to the center of the bridge taking a position in front of the XO’s seat. He breathed a sigh of relief and said “Timing couldn’t have been better, Triton.”
Odinson (XO)
“Captain. We were alerted that a vessel crossed the neutral zone border. We’ve been getting a lot of asylum seekers. This is the first attack. Do you need any assistance with repairs?”
-Matrix
Hamilcar stood up. =^= Greetings Captain, We appreciate the assist. I think we can manage repairs, but would you be willing to take our passengers back to Star Fleet for their Asylum hearing? That will give us a chance to focus on repairs.=^= He asked as he moved to the center of the bridge.
-CO
=/\=Asylum hearing? So we have both asylum seekers and military assault. That explains the dead cargo ship. Well, with concrete proof of threat like that… I can’t see any reason the Federation would deny their request. We’ll beam them aboard as soon as they’re ready. We have guest quarters they can stay in. We have a member of the diplomatic corps onboard. She’ll brief them on what to expect. Is there anything else before we depart?=/\=
“I’ll prep my people.” Reval said and he left on his own for the cargo bay.

The collision caused Pretha to lose her balance and stumble against the nearest console. Barely catching herself before hitting the floor, the edge caught her just above her left hip. A small cry escaped her lips as the Ensign next to her cried out as well and nearly tumbled from their seat. Like everyone startled, it took her a moment before she could gather herself and react. After a moment, she tapped her badge and ordered security to assist with the breach and any rescues or assistance that was needed. They knew their jobs and she had faith they’d do it.
As the Triton appeared, once more she joined everyone in a small sigh of relief. She turned to the center of the bridge and was glad to see the CO and XO on their feet and unhurt.
Pretha
CoSD’vash glanced back to check that Pretha was okay. He was relieved that it didn’t appear serious.
He stepped forward, next to Jasar and spoke. =^=Capt. Drake, Cmdr. Odinson here. The Romulan vessel was something Starfleet hasn’t yet encountered. It was similar the the (blah blah blah) class, but smaller ad faster. You might want to pass along this information to Starfleet Intelligence to check into. For her size, she packs a pretty good wallop.=^=
OOC: Sorry, but I couldn’t remember the class mentioned that Suket’s ship resembled.
Odinson (XO)
=/\=It didn’t look familiar to us either. Duly noted Cmdr. I’ll add that to my report and submit it to Intelligence as well.=/\=
