Crawford looked at the text he just received. Turning, his tired eyes scanned the broad room and caught sight of one of their new arrivals. “Hey, Pierce! Ollie! Over here!” he called in his Texan twang which seemed to get all the thicker as the morning went by.

He waited for him to come over. “Chief called. Wants you to get a tool kit - don’t forget your phaser - ready and meet him in Sickbay. If I might suggest some kind of cutters in the kit too. Don’t use the computer if you can help it.” He recalled that Ollie didn’t use it much anyway but with the way the ‘voice’ was going it was worth saying again. “Chief’s heading there now.”

Oliver ran over and did as he was told. He was still new here, and had really very little idea what was going on aside from what just transpired in Engineering. He grabbed his tool kit and a micro laser cutter and armed himself for the first time in his career. “Got it, Reno!” It was obvious that the ensign was nervous as he ran out the door to Sickbay, almost tripping over himself.

Reno watched as Oliver moved quickly out of engineering. While he wasn’t ‘old’ he felt old compared to the youthfulness of the Ensign. Granted they were the same rank but Reno had been up all night and he felt old. Casting a wry smile he made a ‘shooting’ gesture with his hand then blew on the tip of his finger. “Go get’em Pilgrim,” he said with a fair John Wayne impression. He did so enjoy the ancient classics. The Duke was great, but he liked his Zane Grey novels better.

Reno was nearly dozing when the call came in … =^= Sural to Crawford. Ensign, we entered the upper Bay on deck 27. A number of people fled from this position. Please reconstruct the heat patterns to identify numbers and current location. Focus on anyone approaching our current position. Relating to the power draw on Deck 31, we are in the midst of a constructed bridge that is nearly fully equipped. Examine the level of power draw and compare it to what might be drawn for this … facility. =^=

OOC: Sorry for the delay.

IC: The reports on the computer screen for heat signatures showed the group leaving the ‘bridge’ area and split up heading to the upper areas of the ship. Two ran into the mess hall area as a third seemed to disappear into Deck 3 near the armory. The others seemed to fade from the sensors as they mingled in with other heat readings of crew in gathering areas.
