Inside the quarters, unbeknownst to the outside personnel, Gully was pacing. His mind racing with what to do next. A voice spoke softly, “You were supposed to be subtle. You almost got the device discovered as well as aroused suspicion on this ship.” Gully jumped and ducked behind a piece of furniture as the Feminine voice continued softly, “You know the penalty for the failure here.” A slim hand reached out and offered a device. “Show your loyalty to the Empire, Gully. Prove that you are still one of us.” Gully stood and walked over to the woman and allowed her to place the device on his chest. He tried to hold back the tears as the agony spread through his entire body. His screams loud enough to be heard outside and in neighboring units as his body felt as if it was burning. The pain swelled up within him stark and sharp. His eyes felt like they were about to boil before the pain stopped as instantly as it started.
The feminine voice spoke pleasingly, “Good. Now that the proper punishment has been applied you can be extracted for debrief. Our other agent is already in place to finish your job.” She watched Gully heave with ragged breaths. She backed into the shadows again and disappeared, leaving Gully to lie on the floor broken and crying.

Pretha came around the corner as the screaming died down. It was evident from those nearby that it had been more than a simple scream. “D’Vash…” she said as she pulled her phaser and moved up on the door. “You ready?” She glanced at him wishing she could push him aside and do this on her own. But he was XO first, and her companion second. And were roles reversed, she wouldn’t want him putting them above their jobs.
D’vash was punching in hiss override code as Pretha entered the area, keeping his fingered poised above the last digit. He nodded that he was ready. He wanted to be first through the door, but at this time was unarmed. Besides, this is what security was trained for. Still, he wished Pretha wasn’t going through first, BUT, she was the security chief and it was her job.
She glanced at the others security NE that came around the corner at the same time she did. “You, cover the XO.” She glanced at D’Vash and hoped he understood. “When we open the door, I’m going to talk to him.” She glanced at the XO once more, “Where do you want us to take him, Sir? My suggestion is either the holding cell in the brig or medical behind a shield.” She didn’t like the idea of him ending up anyplace vital. Both of her suggestions left him only a single console panel access and that was easily locked so he had no access.
Pretha
CoS“Take him to the brig.”
=/\=Harding to XO. The blood in the turbolift was Gully’s. It’s confirmed the person in his quarters isn’t him.=/\=
A few minutes later the computer’s voice spoke throughout the corridors. However, instead of the normal voice that everyone had become accustomed to, a deep booming male baritone resonated throughout, “USS Olympic Command Codes transferred. Computer systems locked to command staff only. All personnel report to duty stations for assignment.”

Pretha frowned and looked at D’Vash, “Did that message get set on repeat? I thought we already moved everyone to duty stations?” The Command Code transfer announcement nigged the back of her mind as well. Why would that be announced?

The XO was surprised but didn’t let it show. “Let’s worry about that after we get ‘Gully’.
“Go,” he said to the security team as he hit the last digit on the override code.
Odinson (XO)
They would find the door opening to a bunch of stacked furniture and see beyond it Gully lying motionless on the floor. No signs of struggle present, but clear signs of trauma to the man due to the slight bluish tint of his face.

Knowing the security team would assess and take care of any immediate threats in the room, D’vash rushed to Gully’s side and felt for a pulse in the man’s neck.
=^=Medical team to Ens. Gully’s cabin, immediately.=^=
After the call, he looked up and assessed the situation in the room. . .
Odinson (XO)
While Pretha’s gut was to rush to the XO’s side and assist, she knew the safety of everyone depended on far more. She and the other security officer each took one of the side rooms. Pretha opened the small closet in the bedroom and made sure to look on the opposite side of the bed. The other officer took the dressing and bath room.
If everything was clear, she’d come back to Odinson’s side. “Sir… is he…?” She left the word hanging. It wasn’t like it needed to be said. He either was, or wasn’t. She nodded to the security officer as he came out of the other room. “I want engineering and science down here on the double. I want every console in here checked for proof anyone besides Gully accessed them and I want copies of the last few personal logs. As well as any other logs pertaining to this room.” The man nodded and tapped his comm as he exited the room, engineering responding to his hail as he trailed out of hearing range.

Security=^= Hillchurch here. Does this o-override the alert message to remain at stations? =^= He sounded confused. =^= I mean .. the Chief has been tagged for punishment for asking a question to the computer. This would be a .. biggie. =^= This he replied not knowing that the order came from anyone other than a general security person.
- Sural for HillchurchCollin had been on his way to the brig to meet the imposter when the call for medical came in. He called for a nurse to meet him at the Ensign’s quarters and changed his trajectory. Upon arrival he took in the scene in front of him, his attention zeroing in on the prone form on the ground.
Tricorder unfurled he knelt across “Gully’s” body from the XO.
“Did you see what happened?” he asked as he took the man’s vitals.
Harding, CMO
Gulley’s face would have a bluish tint, triforce readings show a harsh drop in blood oxygen. Large amounts of toxin enzymes produced from adrenal glands during duress and the electrical signals between nerves firing randomly as they try to desync from an over fired state all across the body.

A short time later Winston rounded the corner to peek into Gully’s quarters. He saw the man laying on the deck then scratched at his neck. The one who should have been dead and been beamed into space and who is now laying on the deck - maybe dead again? - was mind boggling. He could think of a dozen conspiracy tales related to this and none were good. Taking a breath he turned back and entered the cabin.
“Sir,” he asked the XO. “The computer threatened the Chief inquiring about the security level that was enforced. It said that only the captain and security chief could override any of the lockdowns that was in place. Why not you?” He took a nervous breath. “The Chief has gone to the bridge to see if he could find out more. It wasn’t answering any of his hails.”
“Why not me is a very good question, ensign,” D’vash stated. “Plus the fact that Sural was threatened, leads one to believe that WE, the crew, are no longer in control of all aspects of the ship.”
Winston gave D’vash a knowing look that in some circles would suggest ‘No sushi Sherlock’, or some other variation of the term. “Sural has had the engineering group arm themselves. Without other knowledge of what was going on on the ship we didn’t know what to prepare for. Computer wise we’re pretty limited.”
- Sural for WinstonSeeing Pretha he said, “Ma’am, you called for engineering?” For the life of him he couldnt’ see anything that needed an engineer unless Gully was an android robot that needed a tune up.
- Winston, EngPretha nodded to the wall. “Get on those consoles. I want to know every transmission, log and beam in and out of this room.” She glanced at Odinson. Her silent look spoke volumes. The computer was acting weird, and not just in the all ship hail. She nodded slightly to him and managed a smile that she hoped he would read as supportive and personal. “You need to see to the CO. Take an escort and go to the bridge. I’ve got this.” She nodded to Gully as he was being worked on by Medical.
The XO looked up at the COS as she spoke. He offered her a nod in acceptance.
She dared to reach out to touch her fingertips to the back of his hand before dropping them again. “You need to be on the bridge.” She then silently mouthed ‘be careful… please’ as she smiled once more just for his view.

D’vash gave her a quick wink and just the briefest of smiles as he left for the bridge.
Winston looked over at the console. In the past it would be a no brainer. Computers were always better company than people to him, but now, after what happened in engineering it was more the enemy. He sat at the chair and looked at it. Taking a breath he said, “Right, lets see ..”
He tapped at the console entering the commands for his mail and voice transmissions. Inside he had a sinking feeling that he was going to be locked out of it under the computer’s new mind, but, maybe, if he was just tapping at it that it would be not unlike Gully bringing up his mail. Pretty benign. As for the transporter logs, he was certain that that would be a fail. While waiting for anything to come up on the screen he turned to Pretha. “Lt, we were not able to do a routine low level diagnostic in engineering under this condition black. But we did hear that the only people able to get past the lockdowns was the captain and security chief. You might be able to get the computer to cough up the transport logs.”
- Winston for SuralD’vash stopped in the open doorway and turned back to face Winston. “Condition Black?!? That’s for. . . . ” The XO’s voice trailed off as the doors closed behind him.
Odinson (XO)
Gulley started shaking slightly, any tricorders would read an adrenal surge causing cardiac arrhythmia. The. Computer would likewise give no answers. Any attempts to access anything more than basic commands being blocked with clearance BLACK.
