D’vash arrived at Gully’s quarters just as the security detail arrived from the opposite direction.

“Do we have 100% confirmation that Gully was the victim. He could have been the assailant and was injured, leaving his blood at the scene.”

Odinson (XO)

At this time a young man exited the quarters. His eyes widened in surprise seeing the XO standing outside. “Sorry sir, did not know you were waiting to come in. I’m actually late for my shift. Is there something I can help you with?” His gaze was a little nervous, but then whose wouldn’t be at this hour with the XO just loitering outside.

D’vash was well versed in hand to hand combat, so he remained within striking distance of Gully, if need be. Better to be close, than let the botanist get a phaser shot off..

“You’re shift can wait, ensign. I’d like to ask you some questions about your recent whereabouts.”

As Sural replied, one of D’vash’s eyebrows rose in a very Vulcan-like manner. The security responded by drawing their phasers and taking aim at Gully.

“I think it would be a good idea if we step back into your quarters, ensign.”

Ensign Gully stepped backwards a few steps. “Why is someone saying that I am a victim AND a suspect?” His nervous gaze seeming to shift into a clear state of fear.

As soon as the channel closed with Sural, the Captain’s voice broadcast over every com badge on the ship. =/\=All hands, this is the Captain speaking. Report to your assigned areas for Red Alert and stay there until told otherwise. We have at least one intruder on board, maybe more. No officer should is to be alone during this situation. Keep yourselves in groups of two or more at all times. That’s an order.=/\=

The multiple channel closed and only the XO’s badge spoke now. =/\=Cmdr D’vash, please meet me in Sickbay as soon as possible. Bring the Ensign with you. Thorne out.=/\=

A short while later the captain received a message from Sural. =^= Sural to the Captain. Engineering staff report at stations. While awaiting examination they are conducting on site analysis for subterfuge at critical systems. =^=

Ensign Gully retreated quickly inside his quarters and locked the doors. He quickly got behind his largest piece of furniture and pushed it against the door. It was a pitiful effort considering transporters, but it also afforded him a sense of safety.
