Posted by… suppressed (3) by the Post Ghost! 👻It was deep into the next day when Bree headed for the hanger to get a small shuttle for her trip to the mine she had discovered the day before. She had an overnight bag with her and had requested a shuttle with overnight capabilities including food storage, water and refresher. This time, the black eyed Cargo Master merely pointed to one of the shuttles as he saw her approach.
She headed inside with a nod and a smile and began her preflights after stowing her bag. She checked to be sure the three EV suits were in good condition while the ship cycled thru the checks it needed.

named Fire Born of House Duroc by Lord UrgAs the shuttle ran through it’s automated checks, a familiar figure walked through the docks… B’Ghal. He was walking past her shuttle, but didn’t seem to notice it was her in the pilot’s seat.

As B’Ghal walked by, Bridie saw him out of the corner of her eye. Curious, she walked to the head of the ramp and watched him. She had assumed he had returned to Urg’s ship the night before.

HoMB’Ghal walked over to the Dock Master and began talking. The man glared at the Klingon and shook his head. B’Ghal pointed at several different craft and still the man shook his head. B’Ghal glared back at the man and then picked up the bag he was carrying and started to walk away.

Bree frowned and stepped down the ramp and called to the man, “B’Ghal! It’s Bree…” she waved him over and smiled brighter.
Once he got closer, she looked concerned. “I thought you went back to the ship last night. I am heading to the surface to meet Urg. I can take you down with me, or I can drop you at the ship first.” She wasn’t sure why the man was still inside the dome, but she couldn’t see stranding him there till someone from his ship came to get him.

HoMThe Klingon grinned and said “Fate and the Builder smile upon me, Fire Born. I am going to meet Lord Duroc at the site. If I can travel with you -” and he looked at the Dock Master and growled loudly, “- then this dog can do without my payment!” He then turned and said “After you, Fire Born.”

She laughed and shrugged to the dock master. “His loss…” she moved deeper into the smallish runabout and headed for the pilot seat. “Go ahead and stow your bag. Then you can cop a squat wherever you want. I think preflight is done so we are out of here.”

HoMB’Ghal nodded and entered, dropping his bag with a heavy thud onto the deck and then squeezing into the co-pilot’s seat. “Thank you. Lord Duroc was adamant I return as soon as possible. As you humans say… No test for the wicked.” and he laughed as he buckled in.

Bree finished the startup sequence and got flight clearance. She laughed slightly at B’Ghal, “It’s rest, dear. No rest for the wicked.” She maneuvered out and headed for the site.
“Next time you’re stuck overnight, lemme know. I can either take you back, myself or you can stay at my place. Nice perks of the job is 3 bedroom place here, and two bedroom quarters on thr orbiting platform.” She laughed as they soared expertly over the tree tops. Her piloting skills obviously not flawed. <e>
