(This is the dinner mentioned in “My Kingdom for a Shuttle!”)

Bree had lain down for one of the two hours she had till dinner. The adrenaline had finally worn off, and the alcohol had taken its toll. She woke up to the alarm and got ready for dinner with Captain Urg. After cleaning up the best she could without a change of clothes, she opened the door and realized her guards were still there. “Well, hello there. Urg said I could ask for K’Letn,” slightly mispronounced, but close. “I could ask for her if I wanted to see the ship.” She glanced from one to the other and waited for some kind of response.

One of the guards held a small device up and spoke something guttural. He then nodded to Brianna and said “Lady K’Letn will be with you shortly.” and he motioned her back inside. A few minutes later the door opened and the Klingon female Brianna had seen in the shuttle bay was standing there. “Lord Duroc tells me you wish a tour of the ship. Please, come with me. How am I to address you, human?”

Lady K’Letn

Bree stood up as the woman entered and nodded respectfully as they moved into the hallway. “I am Brianna O’Harra. You are welcome to call me Brianna or Bree. Either is fine.” She fell into step with the woman and glanced at her. “What would you like me to call you, Ma’am?” She didn’t know enough about the name Urg had given her to know if it was a first or last name.

“You may call me Lady K-” and she stopped and shook her head. “K’Letn. Just call me K’Letn. Follow me, Hum-… Brianna.” and she began leading her through dimly lit passageways and past dozens and dozens of crew. The vast majority of the crew were Klingon, but there were some that weren’t. Humans, Bajorans… even a Cardassian was seen… walked past them as they traveled through the ship. Most crew nodded in deference to K’Letn, but some simply nodded in acknowledgement. She didn’t seem to notice any difference.

K’Letn

Brianna smiled. “As you wish, K’Letn. The name suits you well.” It was a definite compliment. As they moved thru the ship, she glanced and nodded to the crew as they passed. “So with such a large and impressive ship, what do you recommend for sightseeing first?” She was half laughing realizing that a ‘tour’ was probably a bit more vague and broad. And they had less than an hour.
