Eviros set down the medical kit on her desk and eyes Morin. “Ensign Anderson has agreed to follow my lead in this matter, given that the Governor will soon know all about it. But, Elaine, if he tries anything stupid, you have my full permission to shoot him.”

Anderson grinned. “Yes, ma’am. Gladly,”

Tal knew better than to comment, especially given the look in the ensign’s eyes.

Ylana went to her computer and began typing a message to her husband. //Michael , I need to see you ASAP. Your office or Halai’s. I won’t be alone. It’s urgent and sensitive.\

Michael responded. //Understood, Halai’s it is. Do you require security?\ Michael was in the process of packing himself up, ready to swing by Halai’s office. He messaged his new personal head of Governor’s Security of where he was going. At the very least, the man would know where he was at in case anything happened.

//No, there is security here. And remember, Imzadi, that this is as much a surprise to me as it will be to you.\ She knew that invoking the Betazoid term would have a certain effect on him, but it would hopefully curb some of the shocked reaction so they could get down to business that much faster.

Michael had a bit of concern upon noting that she mentioned how much of a surprise it was to her…whatever ‘it’ was.

“Michael’s on his way,” she said to Morin.

“Yay,” he replied with little enthusiasm.

Meanwhile, Ensign Anderson leaned against a wall, still armed and clearly not taking her eyes off Morin. Her grumbling thoughts were hard to miss for both Morin and Ylana but Ylana didn’t blame her in the least. Morin didn’t much either. Then again, he had little say in the matter.

Michael Halloway arrived at Halai’s office, his mind reaching to Ylana’s, as he entered. He then stopped upon seeing the vestige of Morin Tal. He surveyed the room, noting Ylana and the security ensign off to the side, eyeing the man who had once attempted whisk Ylana away from the Dresden when they had first met.

He then trained his eyes on Morin once again. “Give me one good reason why I shouldn’t have you locked up.” He could only guess how he had gotten into the White Tower, let alone past a trained security officer. They knew better, after all, to let just anyone in to see a higher up. Suffice it to say, Michael was not impressed. Then again, was he ever when it came to Morin Tal?
