Longstreet knew Halai was not at home. He also knew he had the right to enter to investigate further. even if he did not he was going in. He remembered the box she had gotten before she left. The mysterious one sent via package delivery. Did it have something to do with all of this? The murders? He intended to look around and see what he could find. Entry was easy. After all he was SF Security. He could get into any place, save a very few, on the planet.

The wrought iron gate he faced was beautifully and clearly hand made and it had been set into some fencing that formed a perimeter around the property. But like Cosgrove herself, while it gave an air of secrecy, it was not closed off entirely. Carefully considered openness seemed to be the theme both with the woman and her home.

The override on the gate went through only because of Longstreet’s credentials, but he had to know it wouldn’t go unnoticed.

Up the front walk, large flat stones formed the walkway and the front gardens were lush and a bit wild as he walked to the front arched door, which was also locked, but when she was home, was usually open (at least it had been before the attack). Again, his code would allow entry- one of only a few that could do so unimpeded.

As he entered the dark and quiet apartment he looked around slowly.

“Computer lights to medium intensity, SF override code 43 Delta Longstreet. ” He said in a normal voice.

“Confirmed.” The homes LCARS system repliied and the lights came on.

He then began his search.

OOC: there’s a couple issues with this, but we can work with it. :) You would have had to get through the front gate first (which he’d have an override there too I guess) and then through the front door. Remember, she’s in a villa up on the ‘hill’ and it’s got a large wrought iron fence around it with a lot of surreptitious security. One of her two bodyguards is still about to maintain security given the attack on Cosgrove. Also remember that the box was given to her directly by Prim Zar the day before she was killed.

As the lights came on, Longstreet found himself in a spacious and open room that was clearly Halai’s living area. Combined with the kitchen, it formed an L-shape with the kitchen farther down disappearing to the right. A couple sofas and chair formed a sitting area that centred around an organic looking metal and glass table sat on a lush looking hand woven rug and near a fireplace. Immediately to his right was a hallway that went off into another L-shape and it was likely where the bedrooms and other rooms were.

The back of the house from his standpoint was all floor to ceiling windows from which he could see her stone patio and the terraced gardens that formed the back yard, complete with a hot tub and at the very bottom, a small greenhouse. Apparently the geologist had a serious green thumb, which while it shouldn’t have been too much of a surprise given she was terraforming a planet, might still have seemed more than expected. Even from the other side of the house he could see how lush it was back there and how much work Halai obviously put into it.

If there was one other thing he knew about the woman and yet became more evident standing in her place it was that she was an artist and appreciated the art of others. Stone sculptures (like hers), paintings on the walls, woven items like rugs and blankets, and even the mixed media lighting pieces all screamed an artist sensibility. Whatever technology was present in the house was also carefully concealed- a Tyrellian preference.
