This is common knowledge as it was blasted out on all news channels all over OED, due to the popularity of the Zar symbiont. Stephen stood up, “Well this in an unexpected surprise. How may I help you?”

The enigmatic turquoise eyes of Darius watched him with a smile and Stephen noticed that his left hand that was hanging loosely at his side was twitching slightly.

With the other hand he handed a data chip to Stephen. “I’m here to receive all posessions of the Zar symbiont.” his left eyelid twitched.
“The stick has all the necessary legal documents and approval of the Governor. Also the medical documents that certify that the Zar symbiont has been transferred to me yesterday.” his smile died and his left hand fisted shortly.

OOC: So the documents all turn out to be ledgit, also according to Trill law, and the Governor has indeed approved the procedure on the first day when Darius Brand had come into office, not too long ago.
Stephen would also be the one realising that this makes Darius possibly the most influential and rich person on OED, even surpassing the owner of O.M.A.P. Corp., OED’s media network (indeed he has a large number of shares on that too).
It includes a huge list of real estate, including many shops and businesses, the majority share of the Heaven’s Spike stock and a whole floor of the same, a prime mansion in the residential district next to the villa he has received as part of being a cabinet member, a warp-capable ship, and much more. It will shift the balance of power drastically as so far no Cabinet member has had so much posessions un-connected with the office. It also includes the penthouse formerly owned by Shamera Zar and both her and ex-governor’s Anu Zar’s posessions.... together with the memories of all those previous Zar hosts.
Hint: it should make him a wee bit worried … ;-)

OOC: Fear the power of my bureaucracy!!!

Stephen looked over the documents, felt his brain start to spin while calculating the amount of power Darius would consolidate with this move. It was not something that he felt entirely comfortable with, as he believed that this much power should not be inherited, but earned through hard work and dedication to the wellbeing of others. He always wanted to think the best in people, but Darius was to overt to ignore. He put on his poker face, a look rarely seen by others, and motioned Valexa (be betazoid assistant) over, “Of course we can get the paperwork started, but I am afraid that it will take a while to get everything fully into your possession.”

Before Darius could speak, Valexa placed down a padd along with a large stack of papers, “Here you are sir.”

There was a smile from the Head of Commerce, “Thank you Valexa,” He placed the padd on the other side of the desk, in front of Darius, “As you can see, we have quite a few regulations that muck up this process quite a bit, some old, and some that were just put into effect a few days ago.” He pointed to the padd, “As you can see, under the Charter of Commerce section 5 paragraph 4, ‘all property of an individual who is part of a criminal investigation must be held back for potential usefulness in said investigation.’ Due to the fact that Zar was murdered, I cannot disclose some of their items in case they will be of use in this investigation.” He gestured over to the stack of papers, “Of course, if you need to claim anything sooner, you can fill out a form detailing why that item has no relevance to the case and submit it for review.”

Again, before Darius could speak, Stephen spoke up, “And of course there is section 15 paragraph 35 which states that all Department Heads must have an approved third party in control of any assets that they hold, in case that they use their influence in their position to affect them.” Stephen crossed his hands and placed them on the desk in front of him, “There are a few more miner things, but I am sure that we can iron them all out when these main issues are fixed.”
