The back door was open and Darius Brand held it. : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : He was dressed in a suit cut onto his lithe tall frame and he was giving her a smile and a look that was highly suggestive. : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : - Darius Brand : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : Isaria didn’t dress up. It was not within her casual nature to ever be interested in doing such. Of course, she wore blouses and slacks, or even the occasional pantsuit in order to keep formality in work. Otherwise, however, she was hardly one to even bother owning a dress. Clad in a simple, albeit somewhat accenting, white dress, she stepped from her door. : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : “Oh, wow.” The Andorian remarked, surprised by what she saw in front of her. Ignoring the feeling of underdressed stance, she made her way leisurely towards the limousine. Picking up on the suggestive glimmer within his look, she brushed it off with a smile of dismissal. “I didn’t know you were the elaborate type, Mr. Brand.” : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : Isaria : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : HoEC : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : He took her hand gallantly and brushed his lips on the back. : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : Isaria’s pigmentless eyebrows shot up in surprise, she had momentarily forgotten such a practice existed. Deciding to take it as a cultural experience, she offered a benign grin. : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : “I like and enjoy the pleasures life has to offer and yes, maybe I’m a bit spoiled.” : : : : : : : : : : : : : : The interior was spacious and luxurious. The seats were black leather and three was a small bar. The doors swished shut and the vehicle hovered into motion. : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : “Perhaps slightly,” Thavos joked, sliding her way into the interior of the vehicle. Andorians were not known for their grace, albeit she had managed to take a seat without completely ruining her composure. : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : “Can I make you an aperitiv? You look gorgeous by the way. White just goes so well with your skin colour.” he said. : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : - Darius Brand : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : For a second, she had to search her memory banks for any indication of what this foreign thing happened to be. Assuming it was the beverage that shared a name, she nodded. “Surely. Although, I cannot say I’ve ever had one before.” : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : “Do you prefer a bitter taste or a sweet one?” he asked. : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : “Bitter. Definitely bitter.” She smiled. : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : “Thank you,” Thavos chuckled. “But in this situation, it seems I’m the overdressed.” Choosing to change the conversation, she redirected her words. “How had your day been? Certainly nothing of immense extravagance has come up, since the meeting?” : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : Isaria : : : : : : : : : : : : : HoEC : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : He shrugged. “I had a staff meeting on the Orbital Platform. Most of it belongs to my department, Starfleet just has a few ships and maintenance personell stationed there. The discipline has become rather lax after such a long time without a Head of Mining, so I whipped them into shape and then had a look at my ship there that I’ve recently purchased. This job came with a lot of perks, but I still prefer to have things of my own.” he said. : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : - Darius Brand : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : “You would think that Starfleet would keep everything in too-top shape, with the disciplines and regulations with which they are forced to follow.” She paused for a second, “Perhaps ‘suggested’ would be a better term of word. Anyways, what does your department mind, exactly? Is it predominantly a single resource, or is it simply whatever would assist with OED’s economic and societal needs?” Isaria inquired, genuinely curious. : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : Isaria : : : : : : : : : : : HoEC : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : Darius raised one eyebrow but kept smiling. “My department mines the plentiful valuable minerals in OED’s crust. More than half of the industrial district belongs to me, the other half belongs to the terraforming project and Cosgrove. The mined ore is transported up to the Orbital Platform for processing and shippment. I have the most extensive workforce of all departments but they are all miners and engineers, workers and technicians and a few pilots. No Starfleet. The processed ore fetches 60% of the credits OED needs to function and grow, even more than all commerce on OED.” he grinned. “I pour it mostly into the other departments for their upkeep.” he said, his turqoise eyes twinkling. : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : A twinkle of fascination dashed across her gaze, in almost an assembly line of consideration and notation. It was not to be put past the young Andorian woman, this idiosyncratic curiosity. For his words depicted a portion of the OED’s culture, a topic she greatly enjoyed discussing. With a look of thoughtfulness and interest, she unclasped her hands, choosing the speak. “Everyone has to work their butts off in this Colony. Otherwise, nothing would get done. So, it wouldn’t be any surprise that running the Mining association here, would prove to be one of the more strenuous tasks. Though, despite the hard work, it does seem to have paid off for you. That is, financially and successfully speaking.” : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : THe car stopped then and somebody opened the door. Darius went out first and held the door for Isaria like a gentleman. OUtside was quite some noise of people but when Isaria came out she saw their way was free… it went via a red carpet, men in weird uniforms held back the reporters standing left and right, holding the way free to the entrance of the Heaven’s spike, the tallest skyscraper of OED and it’s most prestigious place of entertainment for the top 100 of OED. : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : The first 10 floors or so were open to the public, but beyond that, to the luxury hotel and the 360° restaurant on the top floor, only the elite could go. It was a restaurant rotating on a circular floor with tables only at the window front giving the guests the best view of the colony from above while dining. : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : “My lady?” Darius said, while behind him she could hear reporters screaming Darius’ name and several questions. : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : - Darius Brand : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : Thavos placed a thin, blue tinted hand at the side of the door, using it as a leverage in order to stand up. Her stormy gaze scaled the place around her, offering a white smile to Darius and stepping to the side, as if making room for him to close the door. She was not surprised by the people, well aware to the prestige which Darius seemed likely to possess. After all, he ran a position that happened to reel in a lot of money, if done properly. : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : Turning her head, Thavos leisurely glanced around at the reporters. A white brow quirked above her eye, while she scrutinized the people wishing a hand at his fame or perhaps a query towards it. “It seems you are quite the celebrity,” A gentle joke given by a somewhat gentle giant. Shaking her head, amusement glazing her gaze, she waited for Darius to take the lead. : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : Isaria Thavos : : : : : : : : HoEC : : : : : : : : : : : : : : He gave her a charming smile. “Any cabinet member is a celebrity on OED, you as well.” he said as they walked into the skyscraper in a shower of cam flashlights. Inside the security guards guided them to the turbo lifts and they went in. The guard got his retina and thumb print scanned and only then he was able to press the button to the top floor - the 360° Restaurant. : : : : : : : The Restaurant itself was pure luxury and a waiter in a suit guided them to a table for two that was beautifully set - right at the floor-to-ceiling glass wall that encircled the whole restaurant, giving a spectacular view over the whole colony. While Darius held back the chair for her to sit, she would realise that the whole floor was indeed rotating slowly in a circle. : : : : : : : : : : : : : Eyebrows slightly raise in impression, she thanked him and took a seat. Glad, was she, that she had no fear of heights nor spinning objects. : : : : : : : : : : : : : They got the menus and Darius leaned back, looking over the colony. “I love this view.” he said. : : : : : : : : : : : : : : - Darius : : : : : : : : : : : : Her gaze trained his, leisurely resting upon the sight he happened to be seeing. Entrancement seemed to instantly behold her gaze. She had never seen the colony from such a perspective. It was almost as if they were winged creatures, able to view the establishment from an aerial, birds-eye view. It was stunning, to see the various buildings peak the skyline at different heights. Each of them with a different purpose, a different meaning. She had not realized just how extravagant and large the colony was, until viewing it from this insane height. It seemed to open a new world of realization, to the young Andorian. : : : : : : : : : : : : “I cannot say I blame you,” Her tone was tinged with a blunt nature. “Unless one is afraid of heights, I doubt anyone would disagree that this view of OED is remarkable.” She has to tug her gaze from the windows, in order to glance over what the menu had to offer. “I’m assuming you’ve been here before? Your tone sounds like you’re a regular.” : : : : : : : : : : : : Isaria : : : : : : HoEC : : : : : : : : : : “Just once. But I’d come here every evening if I could. But it’s not as much fun alone.” the waiter came and he ordered a bottle of Champaign and the menu, treating the waiter quite snobishly without even looking at him. One thing was for sure, Darius was blessed with a huge amount of self confidence and a healthy dash of chauvinism. : : : : : Which of course made him more attractive to some sort of women. Indeed quite a few female eyes were turned his way. : : : : : : : : “They say company is both the bane and beauty of human existences. Despite neither of us being human,” She glanced over at him, a smirk playing her lips, “Obviously; it would appear that the same can be said for us. Don’t you think?” : : : : : : : : : : He of course didn’t seem to notice that. He leaned forward and gave Isaria a look that, if he had the power of telekinesis, would surley have undressed her right there. : : : : : : : : “If your mouth spoke as much as your eyes did, you might have a chance at making a good diplomat.” Isaria remarked, an indescribable nature to her tone. It was difficult to distinguish whether or not she wasn’t pointing out her observation to his look, or if she were complimenting him. This vague nature was intended. : : : : : : : : : : “I am hungry.” he said with his deep baritone. He didn’t say for what though. : : : : : : : : : : - Darius Brand : : : : : : : : “For what?” Isaria somewhat dared to ask, however she chose to keep a calm mind in response to his complacency. Choosing to assume he was regarding food, she did not discard the idea of things far less tangible than the sustaining meals. : : : : : : : : Isaria Thavos : : : : He kept her glance. “I’ll give you a hint. Food is second on the list. I think you are very attractive Isaria.” : : : : - Darius Brand : : “You’re not half bad, yourself, Darius.” There was a beat between Thavos’ words, as if insinuating a change in tone. “However, I don’t believe the purpose of this dinner was to discuss each other’s aesthetics.” She referenced his original request to understand more concerning OED’s history. “Unless you can somehow tie that into culture or history.” : : Isaria Thavos : Darius grinned. “Oh f§%#! history. It would be a waste of time to talk about that in the presence of such a beautiful and interesting woman.” he said. She was making him work for it, he thought. Oh well, he relished a nice challenge. In the end he would get her under him anyhow. He always had been curious how it would be with a blue-skin. Better than green? Hardly. Orion slave girls were the best! He wondered if her blue antennae were erotic zones for her and what he could do with them. “You certainly have a tongue on you,” Isaria smirked towards him. Whether or not she was referencing his obscenities or his flirtations, was hard to decipher. She knew that her comment happened to be referencing the former, but that deliberately did morning play to a full extent, within her tone. In that matter, she would leave him guessing. : “I have a suite two floors below only half as large as this whole restaurant, whirlpool and all. I’ve lowered the temperature to suit you already. You can have a full dinner there as well with me, afterwards. How would you feel to enjoy this ....” he waved at the view over OED “…while sitting in a Jaquzzi and getting it on with me?” his grin broadened. :

: OOC: not easy playing a male arse :-D
OOC: You’re doing great! I probably shouldn’t, but his mannerisms are making me laugh. Lol!

IC: “I would be more than willing to enjoy dinner with you, Darius. Here or there..” Her eyes portrayed a look of consideration, mixed with the natural ambiguity of the Andorian, who people knew only as well as she chose to often portray. Part of her wondered just what this man was attempting to do. She saw not reason in him trying to get into her pants, for their departments were two very different subjects, which had little to no correlation. At the same time, though, it was obvious that this wasn’t being done out of true attraction. Perhaps his own lust? Adventure, maybe? She couldn’t decide what it was.

“But, for what reason do you fancy getting intimate with me, hmm? I don’t have much to offer you, as our departments are like fire and ice-“ Another smirk, “As are we. Certainly you couldn’t hold that much attraction for one person, over a course of a day or two. So, why? Lust? Adventure?” She wasn’t going to make this easy, she never did.

OOC: Bump :)
Trin
OOC: Back from LOA :)

He flicked one eyebrow, his mesmerising turqouise eyes holding hers. “I want to know what happens when fire and ice meet. I’ve always had a thing for the extraordinary, normal was never good enough for me and you are certainly… extraordinary. I don’t care if we fight each other during working hours, that’s just business. And it doesn’t change the fact that I want you. Obviously I wouldn’t do this if I couldn’t handle the thought of seeing you again afterwards - often. As we do both belong to the Cabinet. I can’t say what becomes of it, I only can say that I want to find out.” he said.
Then he touched a device at his wrist, and a transporter light engulfed them. They materialised in a penthouse that had the same layout as the restaurant above, but it was only one half, like a cake cut in the middel.
It was still huge and it still offered the same amazing view over OED.
It was furbished in the most luxurious way and indeed there was a whirlpool on a raised dias directly before the windows. Two platforms left end right functioned as a kind of side-table on which stood two cocktails, ready and waiting for them.

“Ever had a dinner in a hot tub” he asked with a mischievious grin and started to shed his clothes utterly shamelsessly, revealing a well tanned body, well toned with muscles at all the right places and everything in abundance that a woman could want in a man.

OOC: In the other timeline Prim Zar has been killed and Darius has received the symbiont and now is Darius Zar, so whenever we are done with this thread, you can meet him… again. I’m doing my best to piss her off, it can also happen after they go at it, it’s just important for the PRSIM that she recognises a distinct difference....

OOC: Oooh! Okay. Isn’t Zar a fairly extensive symbiont/group of people, which had been about OED? Or was it just Prim, before her death? Prim was the Counselor, right? Sorry about these questions, simply trying to get facts straight! Haha

Also, welcome back from the land of the LOA. Lol!

IC: Mad! This man was utterly insane! Or perhaps that was normal of people in his trade? No, the Trill was most certainly psychotic. His readiness to change the mood of a simple dinner was not short of astonishing to her. Called her uncultured, but that wasn’t something she recognized to be a possibility. Maybe she was ignorant, or perhaps simply blind to the outcomes of a dinner. Had he been dropping hints towards this, the entire time? Yes, it seemed he had. And now she was curious— and annoyed. Could someone explain to me how this is possible? She thought to herself, annoyed with the complexity of humanoid emotions.

“You most certainly are of the bold variety, aren’t you?” His shed of clothing, as if it were a second skin, was complimented by the removal of her socks and shoes. Perhaps she was, unknowingly, attempting to test him, just as he seemed to be making every effort to find a way to surprise her. Or, maybe, he recognized her minute annoyance and was doing everything in his power to elevate that emotion. “And no, I never have. Despite Andorians being able to handle such sweltering temperatures, I don’t believe you will find many daring enough to test the limits of their own comfort— scratch that, the limits of their atmospheric comfort.”

Unlike most women, Thavos did not blush at the removal of his close, she merely tilted her head slightly to one side, an eyebrow perching upon her forehead, as her eyes remained trained on the features of his face. Most notably, the emotions that swarmed within those gorgeous- Don’t think that, Thavos! For all you know, he is some forsaken Telepath. She grumbled, mentally, tugging at the tie on her wrist, to pull back her hair. Not that it would be all that surprising with this man.
