The colony seemed larger than the maps suggested Linarra decided as she took a tram into the heart of the dome. She was also surprised to find more social order than she had expected. Colonies had reputations for being being a bit rough but this place so far didn’t seem any more than usual. When the tram went out into the bright lights and stopped just under the Government building she got out and straightened her black suit jacket, and made sure her dark blue shirt was tucked into to her black pants. She left her wavy auburn and sun kissed hair down around her shoulders letting others know she was no officer anymore and would do things her own way. Her sleek work shoes were all polished and ready if they wanted her to dive right into her work. Of course realized her work was going to be a bit more hectic than being charge of a sickbay and but she was ready for a change.
Linarra glaced at the Sacred Heart hospital as she walked up the stairs to the door of the government building.The hospital looked similar to those she had seen on earth and she was pleased by how fresh and clean it looked. New. She had read the reports and was a bit excited to be working in a relatively new hospital. Carrying her small padd on her shoulder in a case that held her ID in it as well Linarra stopped gawking at her new place of work and went into the Government building. When she found the Governor’s office she let out a breath, this place was going to be different and she was more than ready for it. She walked up to the reception desk and nodded.
“Linarra Riccio new head of medical and social services,” She announced and then waited to be let in.

Michael Halloway, with his highly above average hearing, heard the new head of medical enter the lobby before his office. He sent his secretary the go ahead to let her in.

Meanwhile, in the lobby, the blonde woman at the secretary’s desk looked up with a smile. “Governor Halloway will see you now,” she said almost as soon as the new head finished her sentence.

Linarra shut her gapping open mout h quickly in surprise. She had expected to have to wait until whatever meeting the Governor was in was over but she wasn’t going to argue if she was going to be let in right away. She thanked the secretary before heading into the office. She looked around as she walked inside and heading towards the man’s desk.
“Thank you for seeing me Govenor,” Linarra said becuase she knew he could have made her wait for hours or even days if he wanted to. “I’m Doctor Linarra Riccio-” shehad to stop herself before she said ‘reporting’ which wasn’t quite right now she wasn’t in Starfleet. “I’m excited to start my new position,” Linarra added instead as she shook the man’s hand.
