Mrerr smiled a toothy grin “Quite so” He gave the group a friendy half-bow before moving towards the bar. Although the menu was seemingly analog, bound in leather, inside there were two interactive screens, the one on the left was mostly drinks and the one on the right mostly food. Each tab opened a variety of choices depending on its planet of origin but also a search bar and an obvious voice command option. The interface was sleek and easy to maneuver giving information on each dish chosen.
Although the restaurant was obviously Terran focused the information read that they had expert chefs from all over the Federation and beyond that could create anything so long as the natural ingredients were available, no replicated foodstuffs were served whilst the kitchens were opened. There was also a list of available ingredients, a rather impressive array of choices from all corners of the Federation and also select delecasies from the Klingon, Cardassian and Romulan Empire.
On the Drinks side it was simply said that if the drink existed they could make it with the same array of choices regarding alchoholic and non-alchoholic beverages.

Valkris opened her leather menu and scrolled through the list. Her finger landed on the Chicken Kiev, tapping twice to show the ingredients. A chicken fillet wrapped about a herbal butter and coated in bread crumbles. She found the dish appealing with a side of gagh and glass of Kanar.
Her hands closed the menu before she glanced at her parents. Naturally, her father finished up when he finally found the Klingon section. It took both her mother and herself to convince him to try ale instead of bloodwine.
When Mrerr returned, Valkris had placed all three menus at the edge closest to him.
Father started off immediately.
“Trag steak and octopus, with a side of gagh. Ale for the drink.”
Mother politely chimed in with her choice next.
“I’ll have the roasted lamb, side of zilm’kach and grey earl tea, please.”
Valkris decided to finish their orders up with hers.
“I’ll have the Chicken Kiev, also a side of gagh and Kanar.”

Mrerr smiled as he took down their orders “Excellent, the food should take between 7 and 10 minutes to prepare.” As they were ordering he had hit a few commands on a PaDD he materialized from his waistcoat. A moment later a Strawberry shaped drone hovered over to them. The Catian hit another command and the center of the drone swished open and revealed a tall twisted bottle filled with brownish liquid and a small glass next to it, a frothy mug of ale, and finally a small teapot next to an empty cup in a saucer.
It took Mrerr only moments to place each individual glasses in front of their respected owners, the pint of ale for the father, the cup and saucer for the mother and the small glass for the daughter. First he poured from the teapot into the Mothers cup before placing the pot itself next to her then he opened the fresh bottle of Kanar and poured a little in the Starfleet Officers glass “Just press your refill buttons on the side of the table there and the wee bots will woosh in” He said closing the bottle and placing it next to Valkris.

Valkris nodded. Her hand reached out and took the Kanar, siping it to savor the taste. It had been a long time since she had some. From the corner of her vision, she caught her father’s face furrow at her display. Her mother rolled her eyes at him as she placed her hand on top of Valkris’ still resting one. It was a loving gesture.
“Ka’Pek, why don’t you attack your ale rather than glare at your daughter. It would be so much more productive.” Jani pulled her hand from Valkris’ and began to sip her tea, enjoying the rich, smooth taste.
Ka’Pek grunted and turned his attention to the ale. He lifted the cup to inhale the scent then hesitated. Valkris’ mother chuckled and baited him into taking the dive.
“I hope the Ka’Pek, son of K’lawuk, isn’t afraid of a meek human beverage.”
Her father just huffed quietly. His hand tilted up and downed the mug in a few gulps, finishing off with an inhale for breath at the end. Jani wasn’t done on the matter of Valkris’ tastes as she turned on her daughter. Her words held curiosity rather than disapproval.
“I do recall that when I was pregnant with you, I craved the oddest things. Mostly Regova eggs, red leaf tea, and Zabu stew. I was lucky enough that a friend of mine had cooked it many times.”
“Well, I can’t help it. I like what I like. Maybe you have some Cardassian blood in your side of the family.”
The words caused her father to choke on his second ale. Both women turned their heads toward him as he sputtered, clearing his lungs of liquid.
