Art Gallery: Klingon Appraisals

Posted by Civilian K’vorth, Son of the House of Duroc (Klingon Warrior) in Art Gallery: Klingon Appraisals
The vehicle pulled up to the door of the building slowly, and from the door emerged, unfolded really, a rather tall and solid looking Klingon man who nodded to the driver, which resulted in said vehicle leaving much faster than it had arrived. Turning and looking about him, K’vorth noted the Art Deco trappings of the building and carefully looked about the sidewalks of the Business District.

Not seeing anything to take his attention much, he turned back to the Doors and looked up at the sign above the door. He had heard from the odd person that the Art Gallery was a popular place with many unique and interesting items that were rare and sometimes odd. Shrugging to himself, he assumed this was as good a place to start as any and his Brothers were about as well, he knew they would most likely turn up at some point so walking forwards, he pushed through the doors and entered. Pausing just inside he looked around and wondered where he should begin, the paintings held little interest, but perhaps it was the display’s of actual items that would best serve his purpose and his search for the Dagger.

Inside the somewhat cavernous space, and amongst some of the paintings was a ladder underneath a hanging set of objects. They were birds hanging from individual strings, staggered in such a way that it looked like they were flying in a spiral upwards. It was hard to say what they were made of, but they looked delicate with individual feathers visible. There were a few other similarly carved objects in different colours and sizes sitting on shelves or pedestals.

A woman appeared from the side and moved towards the ladder. He couldn’t see her face form that angle, but she had long dark brown hair in tight curls and her garments were structured such that her back was almost entirely visible along with the colourful and intricate tattoo etched on her skin. It was a vine that swirled up to the top of shoulder blades, ending at the base of her neck. The vine was several shades of a rich green with graceful tendrils and small intricate and long shaped flowers in pale pink and red with yellow centres. Amongst the seeming wildness of the vine that swerved back and forth and up her back where other symbols incorporated in the same soft black as on her face. And particularly keen eyes would see the almost hidden portions in white that on her warm coloured skin were less noticeable. They were deeply intricate filigree work with some sort of alien writing in them and their colour gave them a sense of mystery, as if they were there but not there at the same time.

“How many do you want me to leave?” the woman called into the back of the gallery, her voice clear and strong sounding, but relaxed at the same time.”

“However many you wish. I can also rotate them if you prefer,” another woman answered from a spot unseen.
