Wherever the Governor was around noon on this particular day, he recieved a text-based communique. The message was labeled as being from the new Head of Science and Terraforming, an alien individual who had been on the colony probably longer than he had been, but had only just now been promoted to Head of Science and Terraforming.

Governor Halloway was just about to leave for lunch when he received the communique. Curious, as always, he opened it and read its contents.
