Thalen sat at the bar looking through his ledger, things were going very very well, his, Investors would be very pleased. The club was now complete and operating well within the black, it was time to consider other businesses on OED. He would not need to be elected to a position of power he would slowly work to owning half the profitable businesses in town. He had come along way from where he started, there was no stopping him now.

The night club stood in front of her, the doors were unlocked, but no one manned the door. It was early yet for the actual crowd. Vash was wearing a very flattering wrap shirt with flowing pants that almost looked like a skirt they swished so much. She had a minimum of jewelry and no cosmetics. Mistress Valeria had charged her with finding out what was going on here, and the best way to do that was to get hired. A club like this always needed some kind of help. Vash could do it all. She had a list of references, legitimate and otherwise, all that would check out. She pulled the door open and stepped into the dimmer light. It wasn’t dark in the club, but compared to the sunlight, it took her sensitive eyes a moment adjust. Her eyes scanned the room and then she made her way toward the bar, almost seeming to float.

Thalen sensed her the moment she entered the room, her confidence how he room shifted slightly when she entered. He did not look though not right away he mearly smiled at the PaDD he was working with. “We don’t open for another two hours, is there something I can assist you with my dear?” he asked not looking at her still. His voice was calming and warm, like an old friend was welcoming her home. She could feel the emotion pooring from him. “Your Deltan, and” he paused and turned around. “Orion, interesting” he smiled and stood to great her.

Most people missed she was Deltan, except other Deltans. She felt his influence the moment he turned his attention toward her. A ping of excited curiosity rolled off her as he recognized what she was. “You are,” her eyes caught his eyes and she smiled, “Deltan as well.”

“Forgive me, I was working through some numbers when you came in. ” he was careful he wasn’t sure who she was, his investors were Orion and maybe checking up on him.

She offered her hand. “I’m Vashkilu. I’m looking for work. I was told your club recently opened, and so I took the chance you are still looking for help.”

Thalen took her hand softly, and placed is other softly over the top. “Vashkilu, what a special name, I am Thalen, owner of this club” he said his eyes never leaving hers, he let his curiosity and small desire of her beauty flow freely. “It is not often I get to share with another Delta, please let me show you around and we can talk about your skills” he said releasing her hand and offering his arm.

Vash smiled, it was soft, not seductive, but more so because it was genuine and not aimed at manipulation. She let her own interest and curiosity respond. “I have not shared with another Deltan since I was a small child,” which was the truth.

“I would like that, thank you.” She let him dictate how long he allowed the physical connection. “I have a wide range of skills. What are you looking for?”

As she took his arm his other hand folded over her own, she could feel peace and enjoyment of her company, a flash of suprise at her lack of deltan contact, but the assumed she grew up orion by the way she was conducting herself. He never probed minds unless he needed too he found it more interesting finding out organically. “How dreadfull, there are no others that can possibly understand what we feel, perhaps some day we can enjoy eachother” he noted then looked around.

“This area is obvious we always have need for servers, and someone like you would bring in a great deal of tips, im sure.” he said walking to the end of the bar, “In there” he nodded to a door next to the bar, Are the main emotion rooms, we deal with feelings here at Soma, we need bouncers, bartenders. ” he noted. “What is it that you are best at?”

She knew the man was familiar with Syndicate training, but she didn’t want to give that away. “I speak 9 languages, I’m senior ranked in 3 forms of marital arts, I won competitions on Orion for dance. I’ve served aboard ships and can navigate, negotiate, and balance account books.” She smiled at him, a hint of self pride pinging in her, “I’m very good at investment. Are you familiar with Orion training, Thalen? If you are, when I tell you I graduated top of my class from Serrala’s Courtesan Training School, then you know I can serve drinks, cook, entertain, serve, and insure security in a variety of ways.” Her voice took on a soft sound that drew him in and ignited images in his mind. It was very subtle, but just too much so he knew she was doing it and that she wanted him to know she was doing it with his awareness.

Thalen’s excitement was clear, “I would not want to waste you doing remedial tasks,” he noted and having taken her display of prowise as and invetation, he flooded her with feelings , his feelings raw and unfiltered, happynes, contentment, desire, it all flooded, light in the room seemed to flood and become part of them. “Let me show you how good life can be” he said his mind danced with images of them walking the dance floor interacting with customers, creating a place were everyone could feel this kind of connection. His feelings flooded out of him, switching to a more intamte feel
