Kira was used to hanging around vip guests that had their own security detail so she paid it little mind. She took Uvie by the hand and lead her back down to the dance floor near the edge where it was less crowded, several people smiled and said high and wanted to take pictures, “I’m with my friend right now, but come up to the booth for my next set and I’ll get you a great picture ok?” she said “Hard part of being famous ” as she turned to dance with Uvie keeping her space.

She smirked at Kira’s comment. It was wonderfully freeing to be essentially ignored by the crowd that flocked to Kira. Eela was also amused by the way the young woman had taken her by the hand, unaware of Eela’s touch telepathy. She did, however, make sure to keep a filter in place so as to not intrude in Kira’s mind where she had not been invited.

With the fans dispersed, ‘Uvie’ let her body find the beat and she moved with a fluidity that was only slightly marred by her back. Tonight there was no pain and she was fuelled by adrenaline, alcohol, and the overriding feeling of excitement in the club.

Uvie, felt a lot of excitement, but something else, fear, of what she was not certain.

Kira smiled and moved with the beat, she loved to dance it was something that set her free. She lost her self in the moment. Her body rolling and moving to the trance music that was playing. “I love dancing, it’s so personal” she noted.

Aware that Gan was in close proximity, Uvie relaxed a bit more, the heady combo of collective energy and alcohol coalescing into another state of being, even if she could move like she once had. She grinned at Kira. “I know the feeling!” she said, moving with zero self-consciousness (a rare things for her). She didn’t touch Kira, but stayed close. “I miss it more than I can say. This is nice, though I might feel it in the morning.”

Kira smiled, “I always do, ” she said with a grin. “I’ll dance till my legs give out, and then stay in bed all day, just to do it all over again” he said with a laugh. “Maybe one of these days i’ll meet someone and wont want to do this anymore” he said looking at the ground, sadness drawing across her face in a brief but evident flash.

“You never know,” ‘Uvie’ said. “I’ve found that it’s much easier to find someone when you’re not looking for them. You’re young, Kira. You have a whole life ahead of you. Enjoy the moment and let the rest come.” With that advice given, she continued to dance, trying her best to keep the movements fluid. It was hard though- she just didn’t have the mobility and flexibility in her back that would make it feel more natural. But ti didn’t matter if she sometimes looked awkward. She was enjoying herself and that was the only point that mattered.

She smiled as they moved, “Maybe, it’s just If i go under contract here, it means I’m here for a long time, and I’m not sure that’s what’s best for me,” she said shaking her head. “The money is hard to resist though”

‘Uvie’ swayed her hips, letting her arms flow in the same rhythm. “Negotiate your contract,” she said, as if it were the most natural option. Ask for a trial period where you can back out if it’s not for you, or negotiate a shorter duration with an option to renew. You have options, you just have to ask for what you need.” It had been a hard lesson for her to learn and in some ways she was still learning it.

She looked at her what she said was correct, but she was not sure these people would negotiate much but she could try. “I’ll try” she said a little shyly. “They seem pretty firm in the their offer. ” she looked at the clock. “Well time for me to get back on” she said.. “thank you for entertaining me on my break, I hope to see you again some time.”

‘Uvie’ grinned. ” Oh, stranger things have happened,” she said with a wink. “Have a great evening, and good luck with everything,” she said.

M’Lene had remained mostly silent for the evening, fascinated by the furious exchange of conversations and bustling atmosphere. She felt a little out of her comfort zone being used to a much calmer environment but there was something exhilarating about the atmosphere that drew her in.

Purring softly she leaned across the bar towards Kirell. “So, what would you recommend for a precocious feline looking to let her fur down?” She asked with a wink.

Tamsen smiled and new drink in had, her fire red hair swishing about her shoulder as she moved a little to the sides to the music. “Wanna go dance?” she kinda asked grabbing her by her paw and dragging her to the dance floor. “I imaging Catians are great dancers, you are so grace full” he said.

Jewel stood nervously in line at the night club she was about midway and hoped Karina would make it because she certainly did not want to be her alone. a spaghetti strap from fitting red dress hugged her athletic form leaving very little to the imagination the mid thigh stop left just enough mystery between it and the knee high stalking’s and high heals she was wearing. She stood waiting, hoping to just have a few hours of fun with Karina, like they did at the carnival.

Karina was running just a few minutes behind. As the slider wove through the city she sent Jewel a message. =/\=On my way. Just a bit late. Be there soon Beautiful.=/\= The slider pulled over about a block away. Karina got out and headed toward the line, scanning for Jewel. she was wearing a strapless black silhouette dress that stopped at her knees. Her hair was pulled up in a messy French twist, letting a few curls hang down.

She spotted Jewel and smiled as her heels clicked across the sidewalk to her date for the evening. “Hello Gem.”

Jewel smiled as she approached and let out a big sigh, Karina looked hot. Her pulse quickened as she spoke. Taking her by the hand and pulling her into the line next to her she took her palm and gave it a kiss. “Hello Beautiful” she said. “Maybe a wait this place is packed, we can go somewhere else if you want?”

Karina slipped an arm around Jewel’s waist. “Nope, we are going in. I mean I could try flashing the fact I’m a cabinet member, but I really do not want to do that. And if you get cold standing out here, I will warm you up.” She leaned back just a bit, “By the way you look amazing.”

Jewel smiled, every time they spent time together it just made her want to spend more time with the woman. She knew she was falling hard for her but she did not trust herself to recognize if it was right or just a set of for another failed relationship. She put her arms around her in a low hug. “Warm is good” she said. “I hear this club is really cool and there is a guest DJ from earth” she said as the rounded the corner to the front of the building.

Karina tugged her Jewel closer by tugging her hand as the walked. “Then we will wait to get in. It will be worth the wait.” If Jewel wanted to go, then they would go. She was excited for this. Karina would wait all night to get in if they had to do so.

Jewel got excited as they moved even closer the rather large Orion bouncer standing at the end of the rope. He seemed to be looking their direction though it was hard to tell, the line was long. “We can dance and I’m sure they have great food” she said excited to see what they had to offer. “And there are these mood rooms though I’m not sure how I feel about having my mind played with” she noted kissing setting her head into her shoulder.

Something about it set wrong with Karina. “I think I prefer to set my own mood. We are a very open people, but ma…mani…feston? No.” Karina closed her eyes looking for what she wanted. “To alter another’s mind is strictly forbidden. To not allow someone to feel what is happening naturally is… not sacred.”

“I don’t like my mind being messed with either” she said “seems wrong to me as well.” she said pulling her in closer as the large Orion bouncer pointed at the two of them. “You two” he said “Come forward” he said.

Jewel looked at the people in front of them and felt guilt for a moment and the moved to the front of the line with Karina.”Oh he must think we are hot or something” she said.

Karina laughed and stepped forward, arm linked with Jewel’s. “He’s only looking at you, Beautiful.” She smiled up at the man. “Good evening.”

As the two went through security and past the vulcan hostess, they entered the club, the familiar thump of trance music and noise of people dancing and having a good time . “What you you like to do, it’s loud in here!” she said looking around the room.

Karina grinned at Jewel and looked around. “I don’t know!” She laughed. It was wild inside. Karina liked to dance and enjoyed music, but the energy and crowd and chaos was insane.

Thalan approached is bald head reflecting the lights the danced around the room, comfort and happyness flooded them as he introduce himself. “I’m Thalen, thank you for coming to the opening. He said holding out his hand”

Karina recognized the touch of an empath, but shrugged it off as just good business and manners. She took his hand and shook it. “We are very excited to be here, Thalen. I’m Karina.”

Enger, DOE

Jewel smiled at thalian she had heard he was a deltan. “And I’m Jewel, her Girlfriend” Jewel laid, “This is an amazing place mr Thalian”

“This really is …” Karina looked at Jewel, not sure the word she wanted, “wild. I think you will be pop - u - lar.”

Thalen lowered his head slightly, “I have added you to the Roof list, it’s a more intimate setting if you get tired of dancing. If you will excuse me I have something I must attend too. If you need anything please do not hesitate to ask” he said then turned and moved into the crowd.

“Thank you, that is quite kind of you.” Karina turned to Jewel, taking her hand and tugging her toward the dance floor. The idea of special treatment did not set well with her. She wouldn’t use it, unless Jewel really wanted to go up there.

Jewel and Karina settled into the dance, moving and dancing together, other bouncing around them in a similar manner. It was like all the people were moving to the same beat, but there’s was different, there was an undertone between them. “I’m glad we came” she yelled.

Karina grinned and tugged her a little closer by the waist. “Me too,” she said over the music. It was wild inside the nightclub. Something she hadn’t done in a really long time.

Soon the primary dj was playing her set, Jewel pulled Karina in tight to her hips and the swayed together in a rythmic dance with the rest of the music. Thier bodies became one in the thick of the crowded dance floor.

Karina was lost in the feel of having Jewel in her arms. Her arms draped over Jewel’s shoulders, pulling her closer. They moved together with the rhythm of the music. The feel of Jewel in her arms was intoxicating. Karina knew she was going to very quickly come to crave it.

All but floating on a cloud of happiness and a a sense of connectedness, the in-disguise Lt. governor moved off the dance floor. She swore she spotted Karina Enger and almost though about saying hello, but the intimate way she was dancing with her partner made her reconsider. She didn’t want to disturb her evening.

Instead, Eela made her way towards the exit, but she didn’t leave yet. Instead, with Gan in tow, she sought out one of Thalen’s staff. “Hello,” she said over the din. “Can you tell Mr. Kirell that Uvie wishes to say goodnight?”

The waiter smiled and gave a small node, “Please let Thalen, know a guest requires his attention at my location” she said. “He’ll be with you in a few moments” and with that the waiter was gone.

Thalen arrived two minutes later. “Ahhh Uvie was it?” he said with a smile, “How can I be of service to you?” he asked

She flashed him a grin and leaned in to speak so only he could hear. “I just wanted to thank you for a great evening and for your discretion. I was hoping you could do me a favour after I leave and pass on a message. Once our lovely DJ is done for the evening, would you tell her who I am and that she can reach out to me?”

Thalen’s smile turned into a wide smile. “It would be my honor, to pass on your request. I will have a conversation with her as soon as she is done. ” he said with a pause looking to the platform. “I’m pleased that she has served you well this evening.” he said. “Is there anything else this servant can do for you?” he asked

The openness between her and Kira had not been about service, but it also wasn’t her place to say that. She had simply seen a young woman trying to figure out the best next step in her life and feeling a little lonely while doing so. Eela had been there numerous times and could empathize. As for the rest of the evening, the little incident with the handsy patron no doubt had made its way to Kirell, but she also knew he understood that she could handle herself. “Not that I can think of, but thank you,” she said, flashing a grin and maintaining her Uvie persona for the time being.

With a wink, she turned carefully on the ball of foot (no sense causing herself vertigo at this point), and headed for the exit with Gan close at her side.

He looked at her with a head bow as she winked and turned. “I look forward to seeing you again, Ms Uvie” he said his tone steady. He would have to have a conversation with Kira when the night was done.

The heat of the crowd, the lights, the sounds, the rhythm, Jewel’s closeness made the night seem to crawl and race at once. Karina grabbed her hand and tugged her off the dance floor. Once clear she kissed her deeply and then led her to the bar for a couple of drinks.
