Soma Night Club: Grand Opening.Thalen had been working on this place for so long and the first night had finally come. Hopefully advertising had done its job, he walked by the red carp roped entrance past Venn a rather large Orion dressed in a black suit and tie that likely cost more than Thalen would pay him in a month. “Looking sharp Venn,” he said as he entered the building and went to the elevador.
The Elevator chimbed as he reached the 7th floor, he stepped out into the corridor where the payment window and hostess waited T’Vess was a half vulcan half human that had the poise to make the place classy but enough emotion to not scare the clients away. “Vess” he nodded she too was looked stunning in her cocktail dress. “Sir” was all she said as she looked through the VIP guest list for the night.
Thalen wanted to walk through the entire venu before the opening to ensure everything was in place. The club greeted him with two dark, matte-finish double doors, stylized with etched spirals that caught the light only when seen from an angle. Low, ambient house music pulsed from above creating a warm welcome, the DJ had not fired up yet soon the pulse of the room would be intoxicating. The two story space opened, leaving one breathless as they took in the scene, lights and color everywhere. The Bar was to the left it was a twist of cold stone that seemed to cure along the edge of the dance floor, Behind the black and red cabinets pained with glass the displayed all the bottles. Various tapps lined the bar as did golden barstool’s with black and red cushions. Two females and a man worked the bar and smiled as he went by.
All around the dance floor were standing tables small but enough for a group to stand around and talk and hold drinks. He moved quickly across the dance floor various light patterns followed him as he went leaving a trail of light pulsing to the current music. The lounge on the other side of the floor was fixed with a dozen curved sofa’s that each had low tables for drinks and food. The atmosphere was calming and the low light provided for some intimacy in a crowded space.
He moved up the stairs past the mid level DJ booth were the current DJ was finishing the current set up. She was a young human she was on vacation from earth and well know there. He had been lucky that she had been vacationing there. She was dressed in a silver Bikini and covered in tattoos she had a masquerade mask on that looked like a panthers face. “Good luck Cat, if there is anything you need let me know, every thing is on the house.” he said leaning in kissing her on the cheek. She almost passed out and gave a knowing smile. “I’ll see you later” she said slyly.
He moved to the VIP section on the upper platform it looked perfect 4 individual area’s with plush seating tables and personal shielding to have private conversations. The areas was filled with expensive artwork and sculptures from around the quad. Making his way back down stairs he confirmed with his engineer that the four mood rooms were function each room could be set to produce any feeling one wanted to feel, he walked into each one checking them out and then moved to the back elevator not wanting to climb the stairs again.
The rooftop was his crown. To the right, the fire pit flickered in geometric clusters, already fed and ready. Low-profile couches formed half-moons around them. Charcoal gray with bronze inlays. He reached down and adjusted a misplaced pillow, then stood again, satisfied. The infinity pool shimmered under low violet light surrounded by incense that produced feelings of calm and desire. There were two changing rooms with replicators in them to either side of the pool.
To the far left, the grill was warming. Edda was already prepping. She didn’t look up, but he smelled the char-starters igniting, lemongrass and pepper oil filled the air. The outdoor bar stood opposite, built from dark wood,He had it infused with subtle pheromone oils. The longer people leaned there, the more open they became. Nothing criminal.
He looked around and smiled, he had already given the staff their pep talk, so he made his way to his office to wait for the place to fill up.
By ten pm the place was bumping, a line 60 people deep curled around the corner of the building, people dancing and laughing and enjoying the new place. It was not as expensive a place as it looked at least the main floor, pass for the VIP and Roof section were very expensive.

Age was simply a number, especially in a setting like this. It wasn’t like Eela was looking for long-term partners or anything, nor was she planing on breaching her anonymity without a really good reason or unless she saw someone she knew. Tossing a grin over her shoulder, Gan gave her a subtle nod that she okay with it and Cort just laughed a little to himself.
So, Uvie danced her way over, the sway of her hips matching the slower music. Despite the issues with her back, most motions were okay, and some might be a problem, but only later. Right now, she was willing to risk a little discomfort later for a lot of fun now.
With her forehead obscured by the secure wig and the lighting of the club making details harder to make out, her age was even harder to gauge, though perhaps they could tell she was at least a bit older than them. She was perfectly fine dancing with these young things and in fact their energy radiated and only wove into her won mrore.

The music slowly worked as the couple smiled and moved and swayed their way over to her the woman leaned her back into her on one side and the young man her other side center himself near her leg as the both began to move to the music and her like they were one. Eye contact, desire, but few words. “Hi” the woman said first. They were both very attractive, sweat gleamed on them in the swaying lights. In the security room the couple as noted and scan stored for later incase they were needed as was everyone who cam in contact with her.
Thalen Kirell
Owner: Soma Nightclub.Drink in hand he leaned towards Gan and told her he was going to venture into the crowd. She nodded. She wasn’t specifically here to keep an eye on him but after everything those closest to Dasca at work and in her personal life were also under extra protection. Cory didn’t have his actual tail with him here though they had dropped him off. Eela had been the one to drag him out for some fun when she saw how, well, stressed and worn out he was. She tried to get him to take time off but he refused… for now. Soon, but not yet. Strangely (at least to him), she hasn’t fight him in the matter nearly as much as he had expected. He could be stubborn but if there was an award for sheer stubbornness, Dasca would certainly give everyone a run for their money.
Dancing his way into the crowd, he kept within line of sight to Dasca which meant her team could also see him easily. As he watched her let loose he was not just amused but surprised and if he were honest, a little envious. She certainly committed to the part and he knew he could learn a few things from his boss and friend. Tonight was his attempt so with a smile on his face he just downed his drink and joined the dancing crowd.
Cort Belanger, Executive Assistant to Lt. Gov.
There were several woman, and men that made eye contact with him, it was clear he would need to make the first move.
How deliciously provocative! Eela grinned at the woman. Uvie kept her voice pitched a little higher and said, “Hi, yourself.” There was a question in the back of her mind about just how close she could or should let people get, and whether touch was okay. In the surface, yes, of course. Touch was a big part of connection for her, even in a room full of strangers. But there were more practical considerations, like the anti-gravity support brace her dress was hiding. Would that give her away or would no one notice. She had no idea. Her disability was well known around Oed but maybe not to everyone. It really depended on how closely they a paid attention to their government leaders.
Pushing that small worry out of her mind, she let herself fall into the music, the lyrics she could just barely hear over the din. The emotions radiating from the couple flowed through her and she accepted them as freely as they were given.

The woman just smiled and kept moving to the beat, the show would be starting soon, she followed the DJ everywhere she went. The man smiled and moved closer, not touching but so close he might have well been. “Love this club” he shouted. “Im Manny, and that’s Kyla” he said “we share everything” he smiled.Thalen Kirell
Owner: Soma Nightclub. She grinned widely as allowed Manny to dance closer, while still including Kyla. What the hell, why not? It wasn’t like her sexual orientation was a secret, nor was her sense of adventure. “Wonderful! I’m Uvie and I’m happy to dance with you both.” There, small boundary and expectation set. She wasn’t looking for anything more than that. There was a grace to her movements that the alcohol certainly helped. She couldn’t feel any discomfort and so long as she wasn’t silly and tried to bend in any direction, she’d be fine. Jal’na might not agree later, but Eela was used to dealing with the consequences and knew what she was getting into.
Meanwhile, Gan had shimmied her way further into the crowd, to a better spot where she could be responsive.
~Eela Dasca, Lt. Gov.
They were all dancing and enjoying themselves each working through the crowd with their own purpose. Gan was the only one that was aware on her team =^=”Planned light outage in 10 seconds” she was notified earlier that there would be a transition to the DJ’s show.
The lights crashed everything black save the glow sticks necklass and drink rims the looked like ghosts floating all around, there was not sound no music, nothing just people whispering. The a pulse of light ran from the dj both on for only moments. People started cheering loudly and jumped as each pulse got faster and fast, still no music. And then it started a low bass hum that almost sound like power static in the sound system.
“Yo Yo Yo, This is not your normal trance night, Noisssse!” DJ Panthers voice game blaring out of the mains. The croweds cheers filled the room as electronic sounds send the lights in to a controled dance over the crowd.
“Young or old, rich or poor, let’s make this house shake. ” the beat continuing to build. “Straight out of the neon jungle, make some noissssse! for the Queen of the Beat, Knight , Panther!!!!” The beat hammered down and crowed all started jumping in unison, screaming and getting sucked into it all.
The couple next to her had turned away and were now jumping to the beat, both of them held their hands out behind them for her to join her.
Thalen Kirell
Owner: Soma Nightclub. The music was great and under different circumstances, Eela would have stayed, but as soon as everyone started jumping, her heart started racing and this was no long fun, but dangerous. She looked over her shoulder and her eyes told Gan everything. The Bolian swayed through the crowd and pushed through if needed to reach Eela.
Gan shouted to the couple as she took Eela’s hand and flashed the pair a grin. “Sorry! I need to steal her away now.”
Eela laughed and gave a Kyla and Manny a shrug and let Gan led her away. They passed Cort and Eela pointed upwards. They were going up to the roof. Gan knew where she was going, but Eela did not and was happy to have someone take the lead right now. Gan took her to the lift where she assumed someone would screen them to go up.
Cort caught up to them. “Are you okay?” he asked Eela. She nodded but didn’t say anything further for the moment.
~Eela Dasca, Lt. Gov.
A tall slender man stood watch over the lift. “Name” he asked, even though he knew how she was. Moments later they were on their way to the roof. The infinity pool was easily spotted on the far side of the roof, on the left a large sitting area with couches and low tables the atmo was more relaxed up here so people could talk. How they kept the thump from down stairs from ruining it was a mystery. On the right the bar and grill the place was busy but it looked like there was seating. A cute waitress approached them “Hi,” she said. “Please have a seat anywhere you can find, I’ll be by to take your orders in a few minutes.” she said smiling and then heading over to the bar to gather drinks. Gan was well aware of the forcefield covering the rough even though it was not visible.
Thalen Kirell
Owner: Soma Nightclub.Gan leaned in towards Eela and pointed out a booth near the infinity pool that was free. It was a good spot for her to keep an eye on everything.
Nodding, she rolled her shoulders back and Uvie moved over to the booth with some of the assuredness from earlier. While slightly shaken, she was determined to still enjoy the evening.
Settled in the booth, Cort gazed at his friend. “Are you really okay?” he asked quietly.
Uvie drew in a deep breath and nodded. “It’s hard not to react knowing exactly how badly something like that can go. I hate that I have to consider it all, but it’s my reality and you do sort of get used to it. But I could definitely use a drink!”
Cort laughed. “How about something eat?” he asked as he picked up the menu. “They have some good looking appetizers.”
She nodded. “Sounds good. Order us something, you know what’ll be good.” He grinned. Uvie rose from her seat. “I just need a minute to centre myself. Be right back.”
Senna made her way over to the table. She was a chipper thing, innocent looking and had the appearance for just an all round nice young woman. “How are you all tonight, I’m Sanna, what can i get started for you?” she asked.
Cort flashed her a grin. “Good evening, Sanna. Can we get two double Aldebaran whiskeys on the rocks, and”-he glanced at Gan briefly-“a Bolian tonic water with lime.”
Gan smirked. It was a good guess and she gave a nod. Meanwhile, the rest of the team was giving her updates in her earpiece as they sussed out who was upstairs.
“We’ll also take a plate of the cheddar and herb puffs and…” Cort glanced at the menu again wondering what else might soak up the alcohol. “The mushroom and parmesan palmiers. Please and thank you,” he said with sincerity, always extra courteous with support staff.
“You got it sugar!” she said and went off to retrieve the order. The drinks were back within a minute maybe two, “Rest will be out in about 15, flag me down if you want to order food, chef is making cabobs and flank steaks, the surf and turf is also a favorite tonight” she noted and winked at him before she moved to the next table.
He’d have to see how Eela felt about those options, but he suspected she’d be happy with things to nibble on. Cort slid the tonic water over to Gan, who was doing her periodic visual sweep, and took one of the whiskeys for himself. Leaning back into the very comfortable seating, he sipped, happy to have just gotten out somewhere that wasn’t the office or his apartment.
Moving to the infinity pool, she looked out over the city scape. It was a pretty good view but she had to admit that the view from her office was better. One of the perks of her position.
~Eela Dasca, Lt. Gov.
Thalen had slowly made his way around and noticed her standing by the waters edge, he moved next to her quietly but like she was any other guest. “It’s a nice view,” he noted . “How are you enjoying your self this evening. I’m Thalen, the ow.. ” he trailed off. “Oh we spoke in line earlier, nice to see you again.” warm comfort and enjoyment permeated from him
Thalen Kirell
Owner: Soma Nightclub.‘Uvie’ smirked. “It’s the wig- it throws people off. Then again, that was the point,” she said with a wink before casting her gaze over the view. “It is a good view. I love seeing the colony at night. It comes alive in an entirely different way. No more vibrant than in the day, just… different.”
“The lights give the city a pulse likes its alive” he said.
“It’s more than the lights,” Uvie said, a serene smile playing across her face as she opened her mind a little more to let Oed in a little, just as she did every morning when she did her Ku Ralai ritual. “You can feel it, can’t you?” She breathed deeply and shook her head slightly. “Millions of people, all with their own worries, loves, joys. It’s vital, and, as you said, alive. It’s no singular thing,” she said, once again looking over the city. If you were higher up, like her and the Governor’s offices, you could see the rest of the landscape that was Oed and she knew that out there was more than barren rock. It was full of hope.
Thalen smiled, “Alas I can not feel much past the roof I’m afraid and unless you will do me the honor” he said holding out his hand.
Her touch telepathy was the one area of her person that she was uniquely and solely equipped to assess for risk. No one else, not even her very excellent security detail, could do so for her. She had to trust her instincts. In this moment, under these circumstances, there was no harm. Breathing in deeply to centre herself, she reached out a hand and set it on Thalen’s.
Instantly he’d be able to feel what she felt. She touched the whole that was the people of Oed- their co-mingled disparate energies finding a strange harmony that was unlike anywhere else she’d been. It was a quiet thrum and it was not hard to imagine that Eela was aware of this energy at all times when she was awake, at least on some primal level. But beyond that, and her currently content mood, she was shielded. He could not pick up anything further.
‘Uvie’ dropped her hand, her serene smile now even deeper for the moment of connection. “Well?”
Thalen’s heart was pounding, it had been so long since he shared feelings like that with anyone, mostly his interactions had been one way from him to get what he wanted or needed. He had not been home in a very long time and he had no real connections with other deltans on oed, she had the emotional fortidute to withstand his emotions, unless they got intimate, there were only two know races other than a deltan who could fully resist, but should could survive it without long term effects most likely. His mind drifted back to the moment. “I would very much like to continue” he said. “I have not connected to someone on that level in many years” he said. “Another time perhaps?” he asked.
Uvie’s hazel eyes carried an intense look as she studied him, though they softened after a moment. “Perhaps,” she said with a small nod. It wasn’t a promise, just a ‘maybe’ should the right circumstances come together.
She gazed back at Thalen. “I’m having a lovely evening. I wish I could have stayed downstairs for the show, but it was getting a bit too… rowdy and proved unsafe. But that’s okay, it’s nice up here as well.” Eela knew she wouldn’t be able to capture that sheer momentum of freedom again, but that was okay. Special moments like that were only special if they stood in isolation.
~Eela & Co.
“Panther does have them jumping pretty hard down there I’m afraid they will fall through the floor” he said with a laugh. “We have a VIP spot open and blocked incase you change your mind, and the mood rooms are amazing, all on the house for you tonight.” he noted. “Would you like to meet the DJ tonight on break or maybe after she’s completed her set?”
Detective Chief Inspector MCD, Jewel Stone
~Constable BlackwoodShe considered this for a moment. “I think after a bit of a break up here I would like to go back downstairs, actually. Normally I would have said no to the VIP space, but it might be prudent tonight. And of course, I’m happy to meet people. Though I suppose it depends on who the DJ thinks she’s meeting, now doesn’t it?” she said with a light laugh.
~Eela & Co.
He smiled his normal smile. “I think Ms Uvie is important enough to warrant VIP treatment don’t you?” he asked holding up his arm, “May I escort you back to your friends” he said. He hoped things were going well for her, she was a very special woman, she intrigued him.
Thalen Kirell
Owner: Soma Nightclub. She grinned. “Oh, Uvie is important enough for many things,” she said with a wicked gleam in her eyes. She took his arm and let him guide her back to Cort adn Gan, who watched them approach with some amusement.
“I see drinks are here. And s the party continues!” Uvie declared with a laugh.
“As if you had any doubts,” Cort teased.
Uvie turned back to Thalen. “Thank you. And I’ll let the staff know on our way back down if we’ll be taking up the offer of the VIP area. I’ll just see how I feel in a bit.”
~Eela Dasca, Lt. Gov.
Thalen smiled and gave a slight nod, “The staff will await your arrival” he noted. “If you will excuse me I have other guest to attend to, “Uvie, and extreme pleasure” he then drifted off to the next table and began socializing and talking with them.Detective Chief Inspector MCD, Jewel Stone
~Constable BlackwoodShe grinned and watched him walk away. Uvie swept over and settled into the booth, crossing her legs at the knee. Cort slid her drink over and gave her a smirk. She took a generous sip and eyed him over the lip of her glass. “What’s so funny?”
“You,” Cort said, leaning back with his drink and glancing sideways at Gan. “Don’t you think?”
Gan snorted. “I have no official opinions on anything,” she said said simply, though her eyes glinted and Eela could feel the amusement from the Lead Agent.
‘Uvie’ sighed. “A girl can’t have any fun these days.”
“Oh, you can have all the fun you want,” Gan said. “I think he’s just implying that he’s allowed to tease you about it in the process.”
She shook her head. “Wait till you’ve lived a couple more decades and then let’s have this conversation again.”
The food arrived, and they ordered another drink. She was well and truly buzzing at this point, but was hardly drunk. This was in evidence after about twenty minutes, Uvie and Gan made their way to the washroom and Uvie never faltered once.
She waited till others left and, standing in front of the mirror in a pose that showed ample bare leg, Uvie took an image and sent it to Karilan with a message: |This place is great and I’ve been dancing and having a lovely time. But I wish you were here. It would be even better with you. I want to come see you after. Tell me no and I’ll simply go back to my place.|
~Eela Dasca, Lt. Gov.
There was a long pause before a reply was received. It was a picture… Karilan ‘s bedroom, the bed freshly made and the covers folded down. They were not visible, but a line of text accompanied the picture: You know I’m not much for crowds… but I am much for you. See you soon.
Karilan Massat, Owner - Quill and Parchment Bookstore
Giddiness washed over her and she sent a tiny response back: a heart.
Moving back over to the table with Gan, Uvie eyed her friend and assistant as she slid into the booth. “You look tired,” she said, eyeing Cort.
“I’m fine,” he said with a small smile.
He didn’t just look tired, he felt tired too. Yes, he absolutely needed to get out a little, but he also needed rest. Usually it was him being the mother hen. Tonight was her turn. She reached out and rested a hand on his arm, her hazel eyes intense. “I call bullshit,” she said, arching her brows, which had a very different effect with her blunt cut bangs covering the shapes on her forehead. “Go home, my friend. Rest. We have an actual day off tomorrow, remember? And so help me if I find out you’ve been sending and replying to correspondence, I’l come over and give you a piece of my mind.”
The threat was uttered so seriously that he knew without a doubt she was teasing. Cort laughed openly, drawing attention.
Uvie just smirked. “Exactly.”
He held up his hands. “Fine, fine, I surrender.” Cort’s gaze softened into fondness. “Have a great night. It’s good to see you enjoying yourself. It suits you.”
“Damn right it does,” she said, her eyes glittering.
With a chuckle, Cort slipped out of the booth. “Night,” he said to Uvie. “Good luck with that one,” he said to Gan. The Bolian didn’t even skip a beat when she deadpanned. “I’ll need it.” That just made Uvie cackle.
Eventually, and after speaking with one of the staff, Uvie made her way to the VIP area downstairs to meet the DJ while she was on her break.

The lift doors swished open, stepping on the VIP balcony as a scene of high class, everything was very expensive the couches the tables the tapestries that surrounded them. There were only five large booth area, three of them were full of people who looked like they had power and wealth. there was a small platformed dance floor over looking the main dance floor where people were dancing but it was far more reserved. The music however was not, as the doors opened her ears were hit with the rythmic sound of Knight Panthers music. God Mode: Live Wire
