Soma Night Club: Grand Opening.Thalen had been working on this place for so long and the first night had finally come. Hopefully advertising had done its job, he walked by the red carp roped entrance past Venn a rather large Orion dressed in a black suit and tie that likely cost more than Thalen would pay him in a month. “Looking sharp Venn,” he said as he entered the building and went to the elevador.
The Elevator chimbed as he reached the 7th floor, he stepped out into the corridor where the payment window and hostess waited T’Vess was a half vulcan half human that had the poise to make the place classy but enough emotion to not scare the clients away. “Vess” he nodded she too was looked stunning in her cocktail dress. “Sir” was all she said as she looked through the VIP guest list for the night.
Thalen wanted to walk through the entire venu before the opening to ensure everything was in place. The club greeted him with two dark, matte-finish double doors, stylized with etched spirals that caught the light only when seen from an angle. Low, ambient house music pulsed from above creating a warm welcome, the DJ had not fired up yet soon the pulse of the room would be intoxicating. The two story space opened, leaving one breathless as they took in the scene, lights and color everywhere. The Bar was to the left it was a twist of cold stone that seemed to cure along the edge of the dance floor, Behind the black and red cabinets pained with glass the displayed all the bottles. Various tapps lined the bar as did golden barstool’s with black and red cushions. Two females and a man worked the bar and smiled as he went by.
All around the dance floor were standing tables small but enough for a group to stand around and talk and hold drinks. He moved quickly across the dance floor various light patterns followed him as he went leaving a trail of light pulsing to the current music. The lounge on the other side of the floor was fixed with a dozen curved sofa’s that each had low tables for drinks and food. The atmosphere was calming and the low light provided for some intimacy in a crowded space.
He moved up the stairs past the mid level DJ booth were the current DJ was finishing the current set up. She was a young human she was on vacation from earth and well know there. He had been lucky that she had been vacationing there. She was dressed in a silver Bikini and covered in tattoos she had a masquerade mask on that looked like a panthers face. “Good luck Cat, if there is anything you need let me know, every thing is on the house.” he said leaning in kissing her on the cheek. She almost passed out and gave a knowing smile. “I’ll see you later” she said slyly.
He moved to the VIP section on the upper platform it looked perfect 4 individual area’s with plush seating tables and personal shielding to have private conversations. The areas was filled with expensive artwork and sculptures from around the quad. Making his way back down stairs he confirmed with his engineer that the four mood rooms were function each room could be set to produce any feeling one wanted to feel, he walked into each one checking them out and then moved to the back elevator not wanting to climb the stairs again.
The rooftop was his crown. To the right, the fire pit flickered in geometric clusters, already fed and ready. Low-profile couches formed half-moons around them. Charcoal gray with bronze inlays. He reached down and adjusted a misplaced pillow, then stood again, satisfied. The infinity pool shimmered under low violet light surrounded by incense that produced feelings of calm and desire. There were two changing rooms with replicators in them to either side of the pool.
To the far left, the grill was warming. Edda was already prepping. She didn’t look up, but he smelled the char-starters igniting, lemongrass and pepper oil filled the air. The outdoor bar stood opposite, built from dark wood,He had it infused with subtle pheromone oils. The longer people leaned there, the more open they became. Nothing criminal.
He looked around and smiled, he had already given the staff their pep talk, so he made his way to his office to wait for the place to fill up.
By ten pm the place was bumping, a line 60 people deep curled around the corner of the building, people dancing and laughing and enjoying the new place. It was not as expensive a place as it looked at least the main floor, pass for the VIP and Roof section were very expensive.
Thalen Kirell
Owner: Soma Nightclub. In the penthouse apartment of the Starfleet building where the Lieutenant Governor lived, Eela Dasca stepped down front hall, her glittering low-heeled sandals clicking on the natural floors. From his place on one of the two sofas in the living room, Roger Kellen looked up and whistled, not bothering to hide his admiration for her appearance. “Damn, now I kind of wish I was going, but you’re right, we’d draw too my attention together. But, uh, how do you expect to avoid it yourself, my dear?” he asked as he once again looked her over.
Eela soaked in the attention with a flirty grin and then spun in a slow circle, careful not to lose her balance. Gone was the professional government worker and the classy social butterfly. Eela was going for a very specific look: sexy glamour. She intended to draw attention but also fly under the radar. Unless she wanted someone to know it was her, tonight she was adopting her alter ego who hadn’t been out to play in quite a few years. In fact, the last time was when her and a few old friends (including Roger) met up for R&R about three years before her accident. Tonight, ‘Uvie’ was dressed in a deep teal dress with magenta and saffron yellow flowers and deep green leaves printed all over. The sweetheart neckline accentuated her cleavage and went over her shoulders in thick straps. The bodice was boned so everything formed a V-shape at her waist and that successfully hid her brace. The thick and stretchy fabric followed the curve of her hips to her knee, but the skirt was draped over itself in the front at an angle to form a V-shaped slit just above her knee. It was perfectly modest unless she chose to cross her legs and show off a helluva lot more leg. She had a sheer black shawl draped over her shoulders and the aforementioned sandals were gold. Gold hoop earrings were partially hidden by the wig of light brown hair that fell in a straight sheet to the bottom of her shoulder blades and was cut in blunt bangs in front that covered her forehead. Eela left her eye colour the same, but wore more dramatic eye makeup and a slightly shimmery lip gloss that matched her lip colour.
Planting a hand on her hip, Eela smirked. “Oh, they won’t be looking for me here tonight and if by chance someone does recognize me, it’ll likely only be because I let them.”
“Woe be to the random person who is swept under your spell,” he teased.
“And if they are?” she asked with a laugh.
His gaze turned more serious as he appraised the woman who has been in his life so long that he scarely remembered when she hadn’t. “Then have a lot of fun, but be safe.”
Eela smiled softly at him. “Always.” She grabbed her gold clutch and headed for the door. “Don’t wait up.” She let with the sound of Roger laughing. For asplit second se wanted to ask him to come after all, but she knew what was behind that and she had been honest with Kenzo at that lunch at the Eden Cafe that she wasn’t ready for anything with Roger. She had a lot of things to work through first.
Thalen was in the dancefloor lounge greeting guest asking if they were having a good time, doing the normal club owner dance, the suit he wore was designer a light gray with black shoes that were made of some sort of animal skin. His light blue collared shirt was buttoned down casually one button two far, letting the top of his chest expose subtly as he walked. He was enjoying himself, Pather already had the room slamming the hard ryth forcing the heart to beat just a little faster, The sonics building a sense of safety, joy and happiness’ with undertone for desire that kept everyone wanting to be close to someone.
When he received the call he excused himself from where he was and made his way back to the security room. Her agent looked at him when he entered the room and then went back to focusing on the screens. Uvie, he thought the alias was cute and inviting, her people had insisted that she did not want visible special treatment at least until later. None of his staff new who she was just that she was important, to treat her as they would treat everyone else unless instructed to do so. It made him uncomfortable, “keep tabs on her, let me know when she is in the club” he said going back to his work. He decided that he would walk the line, normally he would pull exceptional people out of the line not tonight first come first serve unless they were on the VIP lists which she was but she did not want it.
Approaching the club on foot, Eela joined the line with one bodyguard, Agent Gan. The Bolian was also dressed up in a sexy beaded dress and Eela amused herself trying to figure out where the weapons where stashed. She hadn’t even objected to her detail’s demands for the outing given events lately. Just because she wanted to let loose and have fun, didn’t mean she was out to put herself in harm’s way. As far as she knew, two other members of tonight’s detail had arrived earlier to give the thumb’s up n the club and were already inside. Gan hadn’t said anything about it, so Eela assumed everythign was fine.
Thalen came out patted the large Orion bouncer on the shoulder and started working his way down the line, welcoming people, apologizing for the wait, a server walked behind him, occasionally a drink of water materializing on the pad. Uvie and her escort were still far back inline when he approached them he was mortified that they had to wait at all, but he understood why.
His eyes explored both ladies quickly but with a look that said he liked what he saw, “You ladies look good enough to eat” he said, “I’m Thalen the owner” he said holding out his hand, His eyes were ice blue, his skin completely hairless, every feature he had looked like it had been carved but an ancient sculptor, he was extremely confident and very good looking. It was clear that he was a Deltan her escort and team knew he was also part betazoid.
Mirth filled Uvie’s hazel eyes as she set her hand in his. Whether he understood she was a touch telepath or not, she simply sent a single thought his way, Thank you for going along with this. It was impossible for her to move about the colony as Eela Dasca without people observing her and having expectations. She needed a brief respite before she jumped back into her very difficult but often fulfilling work. “Well, Thalen, one could return the compliment,” she said, pitching her voice a little bit higher than usual. She had done too much press at this point that her voice was easily recognizable if she left it as is.
we aim to make our guests as comfortable as possible, it’s our job to please he thought taking her and and giving it a gentleman’s kiss, as he pushed a feeling of euphoria and a little bit of arousal, her direction, nothing powerful more like a scent that would catch on a breeze and then it was gone. “You are too kind,” he said “And your lovely friend” he said holding his hand toward her as well.
Gan was a bit more cautious but still having fun. “Careful there, Thalen. All the compliments could go to people’s heads,” she said. Meanwhile, Eela had felt the wash of positive feelings, and chose to let some of it through. It wasn’t a rejection but her creating necessary boundaries. Still, she was here to have fun and some of that in a place like this was artificially created, so she accepted the influence.
Thalen smiled warmly kissing her hand but not trying to effect Gan, he was sure she would not appreciate having her senses altered while she was working. “One can only hope my dear” he said looking her over she was indeed delicious.
“Can I offer you ladies a drink while you wait, Loves passion is a wonder full non altering fruit drink, Tea, Water?” he asked.
“Well, when you sell it like that, I’ll take a little Love’s Passion. Curious how it measures up,” Uvie said with a wink. Gan just casually waved off the offer. She was fine for now.
The drink materialized on the tray a few moments later. When she drank the drink it tasted interesting for a momment she felt excited like something amazing was about to happen, it faded quickly but the fruit flavor that remained was well blended..
“Ladies, please enjoy your evening”, he said moving down the line, his introductions seemed very specific to the people he greeted.
They waited in line like everyone else, and chatted like any friends would. They kept the conversation to unidentifiable topics but they were speaking about real things and she was secretly glad for more of a chance to get to know Gan. When they finally reached the front of the line, She flashed a grin. “Two for Uvie. I have a third person arriving in a little bit.” Cort was joining her as her suggestion, but they also agreed that arriving together would draw too much attention.”

A very large Orion stood at watch over the line and the front entrance, another in by the elevador. He looked down at them intently, “It will be another moment, there are a few people on their way down, Mean time do you consent to a facial scan?” he said looking down them.
“If you must,” Uvie said, not fussed with the action. A part of her wondered how long it would have taken them to figure out who she was if they had not had a head’s up of her attendance this evening.
It did not matter if they did or not, it was a stall tactic, the had already been scanned, security had authorized them almost 4O minutes ago, security bypass for the weapons that were highlighted on his Pad that blurred the moment you were not looking straight at it. “You laddies look amazing, Give me your friends name and have her come straight to me when she gets here, each group is allowed one stand in only. I’ll send her up” he said his deep voice was far better spoken than his muscle bound look suggested.

Owner: Soma Nightclub.Uvie laughed lightly. “She’s a he, but his name is Theo,” she said. At her side, Gan smirked, getting the inside joke that only those in Eela’s office would normally get.

The Orians mouth twisted into a bit of embarrassment, “Apologies” he said, “Tell Mr Theo to come see me then” he noted. “Ah” he said a couple stepped off the elevator, “Rilo,” he said pointing at a tall orion female in a nice suit sood guard at the elevator doors. Her team had been correct when they said the place was well protected. “Will let you right up”.Thalen Kirell
Owner: Soma Nightclub. With a nod, Uvie and Gan stepped up to the elevator and when it was their turn, they stepped in.
Gan looked at her charge, aware they couldn’t speak freely. “Well, our host seems fun.”
“I know, right?” Uvie said. “Makes for a fun start.”
“That’s going to be the word of the night for you, isn’t it?” Gan asked.
“Can you blame me?” Uvie said, lifting her brows.
Gan laughed. “Not at all,” she said with a little twirl of her wrist that was a signal the team watching the feeds. Everything was good so far.
As they exited the elevator, T’Vess a vulcan was at the host station, background checks would indicate that she was also human and a bit of a rebel by Vulcan standards. “Ladies please head on in,” she smiled wavering them bast the pay station. “Please enjoy yourselves and Welcome to Club Soma” She then informed Thalen, who was currently up with the DJ that they had arrived.
And then when they reached the main club floor and the doors opened, Uvie stepped out letting herself embrace how she was dressed and how it made her feel. It was a very different vibe than she had given off in public before, even on that beautiful first date with Dash. Tonight was about tapping int a piece of her she had set down years ago and she needed to reclaim. And Uvie often took no prisoners, but as many people knew the chase sometimes was the best part.

A wash of heavy base and lights pounded their senses as the walked through the door, a feeling of fun and joy filled the building. The dance floor, bar, and lounge area were packed the club was definingly at capacity on the ground floor, there was some room here and there and maybe a standing table or two. The dance floor was wall to wall people bouncing and dancing. And then as if on que the lights on the floor went dark. “PULSE” someone shouted. “You Got it baby” the DJ shouted back. Laser lights raised slowly of the floor as did everyone on that were crouched. A thud from the subs triggered sas the multi colored lasers hit the ceiling and went out. The crowed on the dance floor jumped at the end and hit the ground as the base rammed into their chest. It progressed a little faster each time.

By the end the room was pulsing again with music. DJ Knight Panther was an earth celebrity DJ well know within the trance community that has been reviving, an classical music rebirth. Tourist from earth that had see she was hear dropped their plans.
Thalen looked to the door when they walked in but did not Acknowledge them, he would make contact as he made his rounds around the lower level.

Owner: Soma Nightclub. For the duration, Uvie just soaked it in with her eyes closed. It was the visceral feeling of the music through her body, but also the collective emotions and energy. This. This is what she had been missing. Out of necessity she had kept herself separate to a degree, never fully able to let go. Soon, she would correct that by going inward, but tonight was a chance to reach outward and be more expansive in her experience as a citizen of Oed.
Gan watched ‘Uvie’ with a small smile. It was good to see her like this, especially after the last couple of months. Uvie opened her eyes and grinned. “Come on, I want to find a drink and see what sort of magical cocktails they have.”
Gan gestured. “To the bar we go, then,” she said over the din.
The bar was shoulder to shoulder it took them a minute or two to get up to the bar, behind several bartenders were busy poring drinks, A young handsome late twenties approached them smiling. He was in his late twenties wearing a black vest, black tie and a dark marroun shirt, his beard was short and well kept, he deep brown eyes searched them. “What can I get four you ladies?” he semi yelled over the music and people talking. They did not know it yet but Aven was the lead bartender and one of the best mixologists around, he was at one point a chemist, some of his drinks used chemicals to trigger little emotional responses that would last meal moments nothing that would get flag by the authorities but enough to make the night fun.
“Something bright and fun, other than that, surprise me,” Uvie said with a grin before glancing at Gan. “A sparkling water with a twist of lemon, please.” Just because she was on duty, didn’t mean she couldn’t have anything. She also needed to blend in with the crowd if she was to keep near her charge without drawing attention herself.
He looked over at Gan, his eyes danced over her a moment, “you want an energy shot in that? ” he asked.
Gan shook her head. “Don’t you worry, I have lots of energy.”
“You love!” He yelled ,” I know just what you need” he said seductively. Quickly several bottles were flying around juggling, none of the bottles had labeles. “Allergies?” He asked as he was shaking the drink over some ice.
Uvie was loving every single second of this. The banter, the emotions, the general vibe of the place. She folded her arms on the edge of the bar and leaned in. “Do you now?” she said with a smirk. “No allergies, but I am definitely curious what you think I need.” Given how busy everything was, he probably had no idea Gan was noting every bottle he picked up, just to be sure nothing was awry. That and her team watching with Thalen’s team were also keeping careful track.
Meanwhile, the other team had sent Cort the message and so, while he was not used to getting VIP treatment when he was on his own (his was usually by way of accompanying his boss). He strolled up in black trousers, a black button down shirt (with the top button open), and a indigo velvet vest. He had smart black shoes and had styled his hair a bit more sleek. He couldn’t hide himself the way Eela could but it might be enough once he got inside.
He approached the Orion bouncer. “Hi, I’m Theo, here with Uvie? I was told to come see you?”
~Eela & Co
Venn looked at him for a moment,”Ms Uvie is inside, ” he said, Talk to the hostess at the door she may be able to help you locate her if you like”
The giant Orion man smiled and waved him through. “Up the elevator you can’t miss it.”Thalen Kirell
Owner: Soma Nightclub.“Thanks,” Cort said, moving over to the elevator. He went up and spotted the hostess. “Hi, I’m here with a friend who just arrived a few minutes ago. Uvie? Do you know what direction she went in?”
~Eela & Co.
T’Vess smiled warmly something that seemed wrong for a vulcan , her beauty made jt seem less so, “Good Evening, your party is inside, most people head to the bar first.” She said. “Would you like to page her.”
Detective Chief Inspector MCD, Jewel Stone

“No, I’ll find her,” Cort said to T’Vess with his own charming smile. “Thank you,” he said with a nod before heading off into the crowd to find his friend.
It was definitely busy tonight, not that Cort was all that surprised. But it took him some time to navigate through the crowd. He did get smiled at a couple times and he smiled right back before continuing to the bar. A part of him was amused at the thought of how Dorma would fare in a place like this. Most likely she’d carve a path with a look alone. And just as quickly, he pushed that thought away knowing it was pointless.
Eela had sent him a photo of her appearance so he’d recognize her and yet it was still a shock to see the woman leaning against the bar. Actually, he had seen Gan first, but quickly found Eela, or Uvie rather, beside her. He understood now. The thing about working for a complicated and layered person like Eela was that you could never be sure which layers you had or hadn’t seen. Based on some of their talks, and what he had witnessed of her so far, he knew she loved to party, but this whole a different persona. And even that wasn’t correct. Facet would be the better word. This was not a character she created, but a part of her she just wasn’t able to inhabit too often. In some ways it was an honour they all got to see this, even if none of those around them realized this fact. He also realized that tonight was going to be something else and he was likely going to have the best night while possibly and simultaneously have regrets.
He flashed a grin and caught Gan’s eye as she drew up to them. “I’m not sure who is the more dangerous one here tonight,” he said over the din.
Gan laughed as Uvie turned to see who had spoken. “Normally I’d say it’s a draw, but tonight, definitely her,” the Bolain said.
‘Uvie’ grinned. “I’m afraid it was inevitable,” she said with an open and melodic laugh before she gave Cort a half hug. “I’m glad you could make it.”
“Me too! This is great. And probably what we needed lately. The rest of the gang is totally going to be sorry they missed it, even if they have good excuses.” Elema was celebrating her anniversary with her partner, and Sherri was having a rough bout of nausea this week and said that nothing short of Oed on fire would have her out of her apartment past 1900 hours. Poor woman.
“Yeah, we’ll have to let them get away with it this time,” Uvie said, before returning her attention to the bartender and whatever magical concoction he was dreaming up for her.
