“I always warned her the same thing,” Mika said as Yavia helped her back towards bed. “Sharah, just a little something please, I’m not hungry.”~ Mika, CMHO
“Hey,” Sharah pouted at Yavia and Tandra, “I do much better these days. Today was just busy.” She nodded and ordered a tray of veggies, fruit, cheese, and crackers for them all to share and brought it over.
Lt. Cmdr. Fayth, SFCMO
Mika smiled, “If I have to keep track, I will.” She said as she settled into bed. She ate a cracker off the tray and looked between them. “So tell me what’s been going on.” Which was code for talk to me so I don’t have to think about my session with Revna.

“Well, Charles’ family has arrived for their visit.” Sharah said, looking uncomfortable.
Yavia snorted, “In otherwords the drama has exploded, and Major General Charles Tenkiller now has a round the clock security detail.”
Lt. Cmdr. Fayth, SFCMO
Mika smiled. “Sounds fun. ....and awkward.” She looked between them. “How is his family?”
~ Mika, CMHO
“Donna, his mom, is as sweet as can be. Very… even and compassionate. His dad is very stoic. I will get a smile out of him though,” Yavia predicted. “Oh, but let him and TK sing together,” Yavia fanned herself, “It’s magic. I thought Sharah would swoon. Then again that happens anytime TK sings.” She laughed as Sharah swatted her.
“Mary, his younger sister is kind. Very confident and not afraid to speak her mind about anything.” Sharah shifted where she sat, “Or intruding where she wants. Abigail, his older sister is… distant, withdrawn.”
“Oh Sharah stop it. Abigail was horrible.” She put an arm around Sharah and hugged her. “Abby was hateful and crass and xenophobic. She is just as outspoken and opinionated as Mary. She’s angry at TK for being with aliens and called us whores. Then she left the house and ended up attacking Jal’na and Lord Duroc. He almost killed her. Busted up Jal’na’s face pretty badly.”
Yavia
Mika looked horrified. “That’s terrible.” She said. “At least the rest of them sound nice.” She shook her head, “Somehow, the ability to be hateful surprises me every time.”
~ Mika, CMHO
“She just feels very isolated and abandoned, she…” Sharah began.
Yavia interrupted her, “Sharah you can find the good in anyone. She was horrible to you, even after you came to the hospital to take care of her.”
Sharah shrugged, “Most people are horrible to me, Yavia. It doesn’t hurt me to try and understand.”
Yavia obviously didn’t like that response.
Lt. Cmdr. Fayth, SFCMO
Mika smiled. “I always loved that about Sharah. I think it’s necessary to try and understand why…” She gave Sharah a look, “without giving them excuses or letting horrible behavior go.”
~ Mika, CMHO
Sharah leaned against Yavia and reached for Tandra’s hand. “I know, but I can only control me. I can’t change people. They have to do that.”
Lt. Cmdr. Fayth, SFCMO
Mika nodded. “I know.” She took Sharah’s hand and squeezed it. “I believe in understanding why people do things the way they do, without excusing that they’ve done it. You can’t change them, but you can understand why.”
~ Mika, CMHO
Sharah glanced away and shrugged. “It helps, you know, to understand. Sometimes it makes the hurt less.”
Lt. Cmdr. Fayth, SFCMO
Mika nodded. “The one thing I envy about Betazoids.” She commented. “The ability to understand so easily.”
~ Mika, CMHO
“It can be useful, but it isn’t exact either. Knowing why and understanding are different. Sharah has a gift for understanding though.”
Yavia
Mika nodded. “I know the difference.” She smiled at Yavia, “I am trained in mental health you know.”
~ Mika, CMHO
Yavia laughed, “Oh I know. I’m saying it more for this one,” she nudged Sharah, “remembers. You take on too much.” It was clear Yavia worried and cared about her a lot.
“Soooo,” Yavia looked at Tandra, “Who is that dashing Lt. that won’t leave your side?”
Yavia
“Séan?” Mika smiled. “He’s a counselor.... I know, I shouldn’t date subordinates, but… I wasn’t expecting it to happen. Besides, he’s the one who rescued me.” She shuddered, “I can’t even consider what would’ve happened if he hadn’t recklessly come after me.”
~ Mika, CMHO
“Pfft,” Yavia waved it away, “attraction doesn’t understand the laws of mortals, it’s nature. He is really nice.”
“We would have found you, Tandra. Have no doubt. Everyone was looking for you. Sèan was just faster. And I am very grateful for that. But how is that going? With him? I need details!” Sharah demanded wickedly.
Yavia
Mika wrapped her arms around herself. “I’d have been dead any later,” she muttered fearfully. “Séan hired some criminal he’s been seeing as a patient after hours, that’s how he worked so fast.”
Sharah nodded, she knew exactly who it was. It had been easy to identify his thoughts, especially since she had treated Thyr several times.
She smiled at Sharah and tried to focus on her questions. “It’s been going good! We’re taking things slow and he’s okay with that.” She said.
~ Mika, CMHO
“Giiiirl he had better be,” Yavia said in a very ‘valley girl’ tone. “You are worth it. If he can’t see that he’s no good.”
Lt. Cmdr. Fayth, SFCMO
Mika giggled lightly. “He’s amazing, Yavia. Promise.” She said.
~ Mika, CMHO
“We know he is. Yavia just likes being sassy.”
“I have a reputation to uphold,” Yavia sat up straight and squared her shoulders.
“So the first time Charles met her, she was fending off a fake doctor who got past the guards at the security ward with a baseball bat,” Sharah told her.
Lt. Cmdr. Fayth, SFCMO
Mika laughed. “I’d have liked to see that.”
~ Mika, CMHO
“Oh, I am pretty sure there is security footage somewhere.” Sharah said. Then leaned toward Mika, “He also asked her out that same day for that night.”
Lt. Cmdr. Fayth, SFCMO
Mika laughed. “He moves fast then, doesn’t he?” She reached up gently and poked Sharah, “He’s good for you. For both of you.”
~ Mika, CMHO
Sharah flushed bright red. “They are both good for me.”
Yavia laughed, and Sharah covered her face, having already heard the thoughts forming. Begging Yavia not to, would do no good. “Fast? Let me tell you, Tandra. So we, TK and I, ran into her in the park. This was before you arrived.” She slipped an arm around Sharah, reassuring her. “She was in a very bad spot, so we took her home with us. It was better that she wasn’t alone.”
She kissed Sharah’s temple. “We left her asleep on the couch. Then later, in the middle of the night, TK heard the door open. So he went to check on her. She was gone, door left wide open. He went after her. Too worried to think about the details.” She grinned, chucklingvat Sharah’s even redder cheeks. “Those details being clothes. He went outside after her, bare butt naked and carried her back.”
Yavia
Mika laughed and shook her head. “Sharah must have loved that. Can’t wait till Sean is running after me in his birthday suit,” She said. She stretched a little bit, Yavia’s abilities still helping her, and smiled at Sharah. “I’m glad they were there for you.”
~ Mika, CMHO
Sharah covered her face and groaned. “Do not repeat that story, please. The nurses give me a hard enough time.” She nodded though as she looked at Mika, “I am too. I’m very lucky.”
Yavia grinned and winked, “When Sean does that I want all the details.”
Lt. Cmdr. Fayth, SFCMO
Mika smiled. “Yavia, if that happens, I’ll call you the moment I get the chance.” She shifted and yawned. “He’s… Really great. Séan.”
~ Mika, CMHO
Yavia smiled, “Good. I’m a hopeless romantic. I love people’s stories. The real life ones are so much better than what comes out of a book.” Yavia knew Tandra was still uneasy about going to sleep. But she noticed how tired she was. Sharah noticed this.
Yavia squinted, “The lights are awfully bright. Do you mind if I turn them down just a bit?”
Yavia
“Of course, go ahead,” Mika said with a little smile. Uneasy was putting it lightly. She really didn’t want either of them to leave, something Sharah would sense intensely and Yavia could probably tell. “He… Well, I mean, he’s kind of my knight, isn’t he?”
~ Mika, CMHO
Yavia turned down the lights and then came back to sit. Sharah smiled, “He really is, and I am so thankful for that he is. I bet he’ll be back soon. He has barely left the hospital.”
Lt. Cmdr. Fayth, SFCMO
Mika nodded. “Good. I hate to keep you both, but… You know,” she smiled sheepishly and sighed. “It’ll be easier when I’m released. I hope.”
~ Mika, CMHO
“Pfft, don’t worry about that. We want to stay here. We have no where else to be right now. Besides I want to get a closer look at this knight of yours.” Yavia wiggled her elegant brows.
Yavia
“He’s all mine,” Mika said, grinning. She looked at Sharah. “How am I, anyway?” This was her second or third day out from her ordeal.
