“I’m willing to give you the push you need but you have several events coming up that are going to push you enough as it is.” Séan said with a rare, stern look on his face. “Let’s get through the week first before we start the heavy unpacking. As you have these emotional and spiritual experiences we’ll meet, basically do a debrief, and unpack how you’re feeling at that moment in time. When the holiday, the funeral, and your heart-to-heart with Caridee has been completed is when we can afford to reassess and begin in earnest.”

Counselor Iven

Eela had always prided herself on listening to those with more experience or expertise than herself. While they may or may not be true in this instance, Séan was in a position to give a perspective she could not get otherwise and she desperately needed the reframing they would inevitably go through. So she nodded. “Alright, debriefs it is. I can live with that.” It was going to be a full week, even if she was off work. Right now she had to take one step at a time.

Séan nodded as the stern look was replaced with a smile. “I’m hesitant to put too much of a burden on you emotionally while your health is recovering. There could be reactions your body makes as an emotional response that could put you in danger. More so with you recovering and everything already on your plate.”

Counselor Iven

She snorted. “At this point, anything is possible. We’re just going to take it one day at a time.”

Eela sighed and offerred a rueful smile. “Thank you for coming by. I appreciate it, adn I know that you’ve been dropped into a complicated situation. I’m mindful of that. And I’d get up adn see you out but I think we both know that’s a bad idea. Besides, I’m under orders to rest.” Her hazel eyes glimmered.
