So, Sidney and I have been talking and due to some incidents last year, we’ve made a minor adjustment to the PRSIM system.

From this point on, anyone who would like to run a PRSIM needs to have notes not only for themselves, but one other person. The reasoning behind this is that when that player goes on LOA or goes AWOL, we have a lack of posts continuing on in that sim. We want to make sure we keep the ball rolling.

So, that being said, anyone wanting to run a PRSIM should have one other person in mind who will assist either jointly or is so involved to the point that they can continue it without a need to just abruptly end it. Make sense?

Now there is the point of understanding the difference between a sidesim and PRSIM.

A PRSIM covers one or more departments and needs other players to join in order for it to progress and conclude. So going in the maker(s) of the sim needs to make sure others will play it out with them and let people know that the Prism has a Beginning, Climax and Conclusion. (But we need to remember that we can’t FORCE someone to play it. Be sure to ask permission of the players it involves first, before contacting the Governor/Lt. Governor about the idea!)

A side sim is voluntary and should never require another player to join unless they want too. It should be run as a stand alone adventure that the originator can play by themselves or have others join in as requested or organically. You don’t need Governor/Lt.Governor permission to run a sidesim or character development thread, so long as it doesn’t change the overall establishments of Oed.
