It really did seem like a long shot that the governor of Oed would even consider speaking to her, but it couldn’t hurt right? This was part of stepping out on their own and becoming part of society again. At least business wise. If she wanted to give back to others they way she had been helped, then she owed it to those people to look into every possibility that presented itself.

Caitlyn knew from working high-end restaurants that such important people didn’t handle their mail on their own. An assistant would manage the mundane things. She addressed the letter to the Governor anyway. She was slightly more forthcoming in this letter, knowing that Revna, Mike, Ragna, and especially Seamus were already active on the colony.

Governor B’tren-Hyrushi,

Along with a small group of colleagues, I am moving to Oed V as part of the McKenzie-Edman clan. We, this small group and I, would like to open a sanctuary or shelter for victims of abuse. Your name was given to me as a recommendation for someone to speak to about such an endeavor. If this was incorrect, please excuse the intrusion on your time. However, if you would be willing to speak with me about opening such a facility, I would be grateful.

She had the computer read the letter back to her several times. Was she too polite? Did she sound apologetic or timid? Caitlyn wasn’t sure. It was so very hard to convey manners and politeness through just the written word. Well she would have to hope for the best and she sent the letter off.

On Oed V, Dorma Fen was up to her eyes in trying to keep things running while a murder investigation was going. When the message came up, she almost deleted it out of spite before she read it and paused. “Hey guys…” she said out loud to the other members of the admin group they had now named themselves ‘The GateKeepers’. “Check this out.” She forwarded the message to the other admins and said “I think I found our pet project for after this fiasco is over.”
