“I look forward to seeing you again,” said Thyr and was surprised to realize he meant it.

Three days later, Thyr had the gift ready as promised. A small and easily handleable multi tool from which sprang a knife by a small lever with a safety mechanism, to avoid accidental self stabbings. It had several useful tools worked into an ornate handle plate or folding out of the body work. All in all it was about five inches long and one thick. The symbol Sharah had requested was masterfully carved into an Andorian grey wood handle plate on both sides.

It was late in the day before Sharah showed up. She was very subdued and looked like perhaps she hadn’t slept. She entered the shop and walked toward the counter. There were other people shopping and buying, so she detoured slightly to look in the display cases.

Thyr let her look and waited for her to come to him, helping other customers in the meantime.

When things cleared out, Sharah made her way over towards him. “Hello Thyr.”

“Sharah!” Thyr said and reached over, grabbing his project for her and setting it on the desk in front of him. “How’s this?” He asked, looking at her. She looked tired, maybe? It wasn’t his business regardless, though he did wonder.

She smiled brightly. He seemed excited to see her. That was nice considering how reluctant he had been to even get medical treatment at first.

She took the piece from him and looked it over, opening each of the tools and closing them. She looked at the engraved design and smiled very brightly. “It looks wonderful! Thank you. He will like this very much.”
