In a long string of many, another long day came to a close. Jonathan sat back in his chair, blew out a breath and wished he had something hard to drink in his desk. Wasn’t that a thing Captain’s did? He had had a few over the years that had, but it had never been his thing. Instead, he was more apt to be social and meet up with people outside of his office.

Oed was odd though. He hadn’t quite found his groove, though overall he felt things were going well. He and Dasca had a good rapport, and the senior staff were coming together in different ways. If things with the Vren didn’t blow up, he’d consider this first while as commanding officer rather successful.

Tucking a few things away, he logged out and gathered his stuff.

Wandering through the large complex, he hummed to himself, occasionally nodding to and greeting various crew as they passed by. Reaching near the main entrance, he thought he spied someone and indeed, as they turned slightly, it was Séan Iven. He smiled as he approached. “Well, good day, Lieutenant. Heading out for the day?”

Captain McBride, Starfleet CO

Séan turned towards the greeting and smiled at McBride. “Good day Captain. I am indeed. Just finished with my appointments for the day and was thinking of grabbing either something to eat or maybe a drink to relax.” He looked at the other man for a moment as he considered then nodded to himself. “Would you be interested in joining me?”

He grinned. “You know what? That sounds like exactly what I need.” McBride shifted his bag on his shoulder and looked down at his uniform, then back at Séan. “You thinking of the Starfleet lounge, or would you be interesting if donning civvies and trying something a little more adventurous?”

Séan grinned back, matching the energy. “Civvies and adventure for sure. I can’t wait to get out of uniform most days, so why torture ourselves? Meet back here in say 15?”
