Kristina twirled her spoon in her fingers. “I suppose it helps that Halai is living her best life on Tyrellia with her Akem. Still, I know my sister. She’s a scientist n her heart and she’ll want to see the situation for herself. How weird is that going to be?” she said with a shake of her head as she rolled a curl of ice cream onto her spoon and popped it into her mouth.

Conrad raised a curious eyebrowl “Well, if she needs to get here quietly, I’m sure I can offer my services once more. Like a reunion tour! But that’s, of course, a ball in your court. Of course we can skip the payment too. Especially if you plan to tag along.” he said with a smirk before bring his eyes to the bowl before him.

Wow, that was all kinds of bold and curious! Kristina leaned forward and gazed at Conrad intently. “What, my presence is payment enough? Or are you thinking I have ways to compensate for your generous services?”

Conrad laughed as he finished another spoonful of ice cream. He leaned forward as well, his eyes gazing back into hers. “Your presence is most certainly enough for me. But…if you’re proposing some sort of alternative payment…well, I’d be a fool to not at least hear you out.” he said with a mischevious grin as he leaned back.

“Hmmm,” Kristina said, pondering him carefully.

“I don’t expect payment either way. My generosity isnt for sale. You’ve earned it already. What happens after is…” he added with a slight shrug and a raise of the eybrow as he kept his eyes still on her with an amused look. He gave his spoon an intnetional lick as well.

She was mostly done her ice cream, so setting her spoon to the side, she simply swiped some of the melted concoction with her finger and sucked it off rather casually. “Well, I feel honoured to have made into what I suspect is a select few of trusted individuals. You wouldn’t do so for just anyone.”

Conrad smirked as he considered her for a moment. She was different than most others. Cautious, yet confident. A mixture he quite enjoyed. Was it wrong to want more though? He wasn’t sure he really cared. She was all woman after all.

“You’re quite right. Very few by my count.”

Kristina flashed him a grin.

He glanced down at her empty bowl. He brought his eyes back up to hers as he leaned back, hands behind his head stretching his arms. “So…what now?” He asked curiously, eyes on her.

“Hmm, now that is the question, isn’t it? It’s been quite an eventful day, and I do have to get to some studying. The question is, how busy are you? I wouldn’t want to be getting in the way of your work or anything,” she said coyly.

He lightly laughed. “I make my schedule up as I go. Right now we don’t have much happening, so you won’t be getting in my way at all. Just getting the Sparrow in better shape is all. I’m not hard pressed though.” Said Conrad, clearly enjoying their conversation and, well, her.

Kristina flashed him a grin. “Well, I do have some things that require my attention, especially as I am gearing up for my internship, but that doesn’t mean I don’t have some free time. Besides, focusing on academics is hard when there are other serious distractions.”

Conrad raised an eyebrow as he donned a playful smile. “Oh! Am I serious distraction now?” he chuckled as he moved forward ever-so-slightly. “Is that a good thing or a bad thing?” he added with a hint of flirtatiousness.
