Qinrot went to his desk and looked at the young Risian female, “You may go in and see Miss Kolchak now, Miss Slipka.” As he watched her go into Carsyn’s office he thought to himself, good luck. He then quickly got back to work. First a call to the governor’s assistant Dorma Fen. =^=This Qinrot of the Federation News Service. I am requesting a connection with the governor’s assistant Miss Dorma Fen.=^= he requested of the government communications officer. Deciding to kill a couple birds with one stone he added =^=After I am finished with Miss Fen I am requesting to be connected with the assistant for Federation Ambassador Jeannette Mathis as well as Cort Belanger. In that order please.=^= =^=Are they expecting these calls?=^= came a feminine voice. =^=No but I am only going to take a few minutes of their valuable time to schedule some meetings with Federation News Service reporter Carsyn Kolchak. I am sure the y would be amendable to such a request. =^=. =^Very well, please stand by.=^= replied the feminine voice. Qinrot sighed and drummed his fingers on his desk, bureaucracy he thought.

A moment later a female human’s face appeared. =/\= Good afternoon. I am Dorma Fen, aide to Governor Hyrushi. How may I be of service? =/\=

Fen, Governor’s Aide

The Benzite blinked for a second “Yes ma’am my name is Qinrot and I am calling on behalf of Carsyn Kolchak, the FNS representative and reporter here on Oed V. She is requesting an appointment to see the governor in regards to the recent declaration the Oed V government gave to the Council of the United Federation of Planets. She states she wishes to get a fair and balanced version of the Oed V governments stance on the issue. She will of course also be seeking an appointment with Federation Ambassador Jeannette Mathis to gather the ambassador’s side of the issue.” Qinrot awaited Dorma Fen’s response.

Ms. Fen’s expression reminded neutral as she said “One moment, please.” and rhe screen went to a hold pattern. There was nothing for several minutes and then the woman appeared again and said “The Governor will meet with Mrs. Kolchak in forty-five minutes. He can give her twenty minutes to discuss the statement. Is that acceptable?”

Qinrot blinked once then replied “One moment please.” he then hit the standby switch, the Federation News Service logo popping up. He made his way to the door of Kolchack’s office and rapped on it. “I am busy with an interview Qinrot, best be important.” replied Kolchak. Qinrot sighed “Miss Kolchack the Governor is willing to see you in forty-five minutes for a twenty minute discussion. Is that exceptable?” Damn it to hell thought Kolchak, “Yes, and Qinrot get Miss Slipka her FNS credentials; if she screws up or turns out a bad candidate I’ll fire both of you.” Qinrot again blinked and smiled “Of course.” he replied through the door and then turned back to his desk. Hitting a button he looked at Ms. Fen “Miss Kolchack will be delighted to accept the most generous offer by the Governor.”

Ms. Fen smiled and said “We look forward to having Miss Kolchek in the tower. Security has been apprised and will be expecting her. Will that be all?”

Dorma Fen

Qinrot returned the smile, curious as it was to him why Humans smiled, “Thank you, you have provided Miss Kolchak a great service.” with that he ended the conversation and walked back to Carsyn’s office door and rapped on it. “The arrangements have been made Miss Kolchak, I have a couple other calls to make for your interviews. I shall have Miss Slipka drive you to your appointment?” Carsyn thought for a moment, then smiled and looked at Ceilidh Slipka, appraising the young Risian. “Ell Miss Slipka looks like you got your first official duty with the FNS, I know it isn’t the computer and communications work your hired for, but we are a very small staff, so all hands on deck.” She watched Ceilidh as she responded “It will be my pleasure Ma’am.” Kolcchak winced, “Call me Carsyn, Kolchak or even Miss Kolchak; but never Ma’am again, understood.” Qinrot cleared his throat “Miss Carsyn I am also to remind you that you are to try and be as neutral as possible in your interview.” Carsyn smiled, “Of course, thank you Qinrot.”
