It had been several hours of travel to the remote dig that had been set up for the large group. Transporters would have been the easier option, that is, if it hadn’t been for major kelbonite deposits in the area. The site had been set up with basic amenities. Some tools were already on site as well. Thankfully, the vehicle carrying all of their supplies had arrived before them, and thus some personnel were already setting up more gear.Nathan turned to the others as the vehicle they were in slowed nearing the dig. “Well, I’m sure you all could use a good stretch. If you’ll take note on the left are various tents for our actual work that we all will be taking part in. Just ahead are the main resting quarters with a large tent closer to the mountain wall. That larger ones is a common area for us all to get to know each other, interact. It’s a break area. The living quarters are arranged in tents with either one or two beds. And at this point I would say the majority of the people who will be on this site are now here! So let’s get off, find your belongings, claim a room if you will. We’ll all gather in the common area in one hour where we will go over all the details of what’s happened so far and what you all will be assisting with.”
She as positively excited and Cosgrove wore a smile but she also kept her response measured, professional. After all, this was important work and while she knew it would be fun, she needed to make sure everything ran smoothly.
Ragna was staring out the window getting a feel for the layout of the camp and already identifying what each area most likely was. Years of experience on various digs however did not curb the excitement to be here. It had not been long, an she was glad her work had finished before she and Seamus had to leave for Oed. This opportunity was not needed for her degree or credentials like the students, but oh it was good for her soul.
Nathan could sense the delight in everyone as they approached. He was happy for that. He only hoped they held on to that once they finally got hot and dirty.
Once the vehicle came to a stop, Nathan was the first to step out offering a hand to anyone who needed help down.

Kristina had her small bag on her shoulder with a couple PaDDs and she adjusted it and reached out to take his hand, hopping down with a grin. “I’ll find my space first, but what’s the plan after? Do you know which tent we’ll be handling the administration from?”
~Kristina Cosgrove
Nathan gestured to the large tent. “That’s probably where most of the administration will be done from. Center of the activity and plenty of space if needed. You’ll be one of our only two administrators. Hope you’re up to the task!” he said kindly to her.
Ragna had a small bag with her and after exciting the vehicle she made her way to the other transport. The equipment she had was very old fashioned, much more hands on. Her more elaborate and impressive tools were still on their way to Oed with the rest of the clan. She grabbed the small trunk and after a few questions was pointed in the direction of the work area that could make use of such tools. Dropping that off she found a bunk in one of the double tents. Ragna didn’t mind sharing. If this was like any other dig she would be too tired to care who else was in the tent with her at the end of the day. Years of long habit had her reaching for her comm to inform her mother she had arrived quite safely, only to pause and remember that message went to Seamus now. That made her extremely happy. Message sent, she grabbed a smaller bag and a PaDD and headed over to the main tent for the common area.

Soon everyone had disembarked and scattered to find a tent of their own. Nathan had already set one up for himself. He darted in, unaware if anyone had snuck in. Not that he was expecting anyone to, but it wouldnt surprise him if someone had made a mistake.
People milled about unloading belongings and setting up for 2 weeks relatively alone.

OOC: Feel free to describe yourselves unloading somewhere! Once we do that, we’ll mov everyone to the main tent for information. :)
