A few minutes later, Tenkiller came up the stairs in uniform. He kissed Yavia on the cheek and again nodded at Eela. He looked at Jal’na and said “I understand congratulations are in order. Or is it sympathy to Lord Duroc?” and he smiled and smacked her on the shoulder hard in the Klingon way.
Jal’na laughed, “Sympathy! He just doesn’t know it yet.” Yavia grinned from the kitchen, she ended going to give Jal’na such hell later.
Eela smiled a little, taking in the happy feelings. She really was looking forward to tomorrow evening and whatever that entailed, even if it didn’t bode well for how she’d feel Wednesday morning.
He picked up a pita and said “I’m gonna run to the office. I’ll be back in time for dinner.” and he waved and walked out the door.

Sharah came up the stairs a few minutes after Charles left. She went into the kitchen with Yavia and grabbed an insulated bag and filled it with water bottles. “Who’s here today?” Sharah asked after glancing at the pitas and snagging one. Yavia rattled off several names and Sharah went to the computer and stood there for a long minute. Then she went into the chiller and started making a different sandwich. “Dorvan is allergic to onions. Give him this.”
Jal’na downed the rest of her prune juice and carried her dishes into the kitchen. “Alright, Eela. Ready to get started?”
Jal’na
Eela nodded and pushed herself to her feet with her left arm (strangely the better feeling one now) and also took out her dishes. She eyed Jal’na and sighed a little. “Fair warning there’s been whiskey.” Whiskey and rage. Her sense of what her body could and could not do was not there but they had worked together so much that she trusted Jal’na to do what would help in the long run, even if it didn’t feel great in the moment or immediately afterwards.

Jal’na nodded and glanced at Yavia who help up 3 fingers and pointed to the now empty glass. “GOOD! You will be relaxed and stretch better. Let us go see what you are capable of.” Jal’na picked up her bag and headed down the stairs and to the gym. “Alright let’s start with some stretches and see where you are today.

Half an hour later Sharah was paged to the hospital and Yavia took the opportunity to control the TV.
Jal’na
Being in the gym again was strange. The room has reset, but Eela was different. Changed. It was a constant thing too and she knew that it was too difficult to track the changes right now.
Normally, she gave her full attention to physical therapy with the hopes of not just fixing the disc compression she had arrived on the colony with but preventing further issues. After the last 24 hours, her body needed the care even more, but her heart wasn’t in it. She did do everything Jal’na asked of her without complaint. Instead, she let herself focus elsewhere. “So are you going to tell me how you and Lord Duroc ended up married? Such a secret to keep,” she teased.
~Eela
Jal’na could tell she wasn’t as focused or driven today. Jal’na had expected that, but Eela’s body needed the care so the stress wouldn’t lock her up. Today was a focus on stretching and releasing the tension instead of endurance and strength. “Alright, lay on your back, bend both legs, feet flat, and pull your knee gently toward your chest. Don’t force it.”
Lying back, Eela pulled her left leg towards her chest since it was currently the easier side to hold.
Jal’na laughed, “I would not have kept it, but he knew about the auction and thought him buying me would make a great story for our grand children.” The Klingon smirked, “The how starts with me begging Sharah to go see the embassy gardens with me.”
Jal’na
“Ahhh! Innocent moments, I know them well.” It was the most innocuous decisions that could turn thing down the most fascinating paths. “And the auction will definitely make for a great story. I am so very happy for you,” Eela said as she switched legs. “Lord Duroc is a very interesting man. I’m sure you’ll keep each other on your toes, as the Humans are wont to say.”
