“You’re not actually helping the cause, you know?” she called after him, before chuckling to herself. If she were being sensible, Eela would stay right where she was. But as had been slowly revealed since she arrived and Kenzo had a up-close viewing of, was that Eela Dasca’s mischievous side was stronger than it appeared and she was all to happy to indulge it. Ahh, what the hell!
Rolling carefully to the edge of the bed and planting one foot on the floor she pushed herself upright, meandering towards the shower. Yep, she would feel this night later. Still worth it.
A little after 0900 Eela woke up alone in bed after most definitely not enough sleep. Her body was tired but very used to getting up at a certain time and she was already pushing that. Saturdays were the Farmers Market after all. Yeah, that was not happening. As it was the auction was tonight and she’d need to be on her game. There was definitely a nap in her future.
She dressed, throwing the sweater dress back on, the brace very much needed and helpful. Eela brushed out her hair pulling it back loosely at the nape of her neck. She grabbed her comm checking for any messages and sure enough there was a reminder from Shrine of the arrival time for the auction participants. Comm in hand she wandered to the kitchen in search of coffee and a lot of water. If he wasn’t up yet she’d make some for them.

Kenzo was already awake and dressed. He was seated in the living room when she came down and he said “In here. Coffee is ready.”
Go figure he was up already. Probably not a shred of (visible) hangover either. Typical. “Thank goodness.”
He was dressed in soft cotton pants and a black t-shirt under a pale green robe. On the low coffee table was a pot of coffee, a pitcher of water, and some breakfast pastries.

Eela padded into the living room moving slowly but evenly and there was an ease in her body, a calmness. She lowered herself into a seat and reached forward to pour some coffee and grumbled. “I’m so glad I don’t have PT today. Though maybe Jal’na would give me a pass for time served,” she said, breaking into a slightly wicked grin as she tipped some coffee into a cup, and then some water, sitting back with one in each hand.
