She understood and he’d feel that through their connection. Eela pulled him to her with some urgency, her mouth seeking his. Bit by bit, moment by moment she let herself surrender to sensation, to what felt wonderful, to what felt right. As she did, she reached out her mind to Kenzo’s to let him know that while she understood what he was offering her, she was offering something in return too. Neither would be lonely. Not tonight.
Sometimes Eela had to adjust to relieve slight pressure, but that was the beauty of both having the abilities they did. She didn’t even have to say it aloud. He’d feel it and understand what she was doing to fix it. It was a seamless and beautiful process, and sure to was fuelled by a rather sizable amount of alcohol, but she knew herself too well to know that in order to get past her mixed inhibitions she needed to drown them out.

It was the wee hours of the morning and they lay sprawled out on the bed. They weren’t exactly cuddling, but the contact was there. Kenzo lay on his back and slowly relaxed and his breathing returned to normal. “How does your back feel?” he asked with a touch of concern, but knowing full-well that the injury had done little to impede Eela’s… abilities.
Kenzo
Eela had turned on her front with her head resting on one arm while her other was resting against him. “It seems fine, actually. If there are issues I might not feel it till later, but even if Jal’na has to fix something”-she broke into a grin-“so worth it. I think I’m unstuck.” Eela laughed lightly. It was an extraordinary and beautiful gift he had given her, that she had accepted for herself and, until this moment, hadn’t realized how much she had needed. It was far more than just scratching some itch. This was about experiencing herself as a full person, not just the bits and pieces that were okay or expected.
“How are you?” She was sure that them, the two heads of government, being together in this way would raise eyebrows from those that didn’t understand but she wasn’t concerned with them. Even if they weren’t fully sober, Eela was full of gratitude for him in this moment and she didn’t regret her time with him at all. She hoped he didn’t either.

“Dehydrated.” he said dryly, but with a slight hint of humor. “I will say… your hesitation at first was expected. But I will say you certainly found your stride. I don’t think you should worry about disappointing Mr. Jones. I will ask, however, that you give him five minutes to stretch beforehand. I think you made me pull a hamstring.”
Kenzo
She responded with a boisterous laugh. “Oh… oh no…” Eela laughed some more. “Oh, well, all I can say to that is… lesson learned?”
Eela studied him, her eyes tracing the way the tattoos wove in and amongst each others. “I really want to ask about the tattoos, but I understand how personal body art can be.”

He glanced down at them and said “They are meaningful. But yes, it is personal. I can tell you what the images mean, but I will not go into why I have them.” He got out of bed and stood up, not ashamed of his nudity or being vulnerable, and began pointing out things. “Color is as important in Japanese tattoos as the image itself. Each color carries a message or meaning. White, for instance, is the color of death. But it also stands for purity and truth. Only in death can we know the meaning of life. Red is the color of happiness and joy, and also passion and vitality as it is the color of blood. Black is the color of mourning, but only if it used with white. Blue is luck. Green is life and respect for the earth. Yellow is often seen as joy and prosperity, but in many places it is the color of deceit. Purple is the color of the ancient nobility. Now this-” and he pointed to a beastial face in pale blue with yellow eyes and teeth, “-is an Oni. They are evil spirits who tempt and cause obstructions. They are very strong and very fast. This-” and he pointed to another face, this one deep red and sinister. “This is a Namahage. Think of him as a wicked Santa Claus. Instead of bringing presents and gifts, he seeks to punish and discipline the wicked.” He went on to explain several more of the images and what their meanings were in general; but he gave her no personal information about when, where, or why he had what he had. What was obvious was that they were done by a single artist, and the time… and pain… to do them would have been immense.
