Eela moved out of the lift with her mug of coffee in hand, careful not to spill. She just really wanted caffeine this morning and she wasn’t in the mood for tea. She took a sip before walking up to Dorma. “Good morning Ms. Fen,” she said warmly. “Ambassador Mathis should be up in a couple minutes. Is he ready?” she said, gesturing with her index finger to Kenzo’s door.

Dorma smiled and said “Indeed, Captain. He is waiting.” and the doors to the office opened.

Hyrushi stood and nodded at Eela. “Good morning.” he said and a slight smile tugged at his lips. “I had the same inclination.” and he gestured to the coffee cup on his desk. “Are we ready? Is everything set on your end?”

Eela chuckled and took another sip. “Morning.” She moved over and took a seat on one of the sofas in front of the display screen. “Well, I’m think I’m actually looking forward to Saturday’s auction just because it means this week is actually almost over.” She took another sip. “Oh! You meant the Vren,” she said, her hazel eyes full of mirth. “The Ambassador is on standby and the connection was secure and clear before I left my office. Cort should be sending the tie-in to the feed.” She was in a much lighter mood this morning despite the fatigue that seemed ever present and growing. As the weight of events on the colony grew, so did the responsibility on her shoulders. Luckily for them all Eela Dasca had strong shoulders. Just ask her physiotherapist!
