With PaDD in hand and a draft of a letter, Sharah made her way to McBride office. She had made an appointment just to make sure he wasn’t busy when she got there. With a crew this size…there was no just dropping in.

She entered the complex and spoke with the security officer there for a moment and then made her way up on the lift and then down the corridor to his ready room and rang the chime.

Fayth, CMO

“Enter,” Jonathan called out.

Fayth entered as the door slid open, eyes scanning the room and taking in the change. She really needed to do the same, but who had time?

McBride’s office was definitely a bit more in order than last she had been there, and with more personal effects. A few family photos, a couple trophies from his racing days and fake plant. The last one was something of a joke gift from Dasca’s Aide-de-Camp, Lt. Sherri Watts. Watts commented that he wasn’t in space anymore and it was okay to invite the outdoors in given his penchant for outdoor adventure. He just commented that he wasn’t Dasca and he had killed every plant that crossed his path. Hence the fake pothos that now sat on a shelf, as much to make the place look inviting as to mock him. It amused him.

Her eyes landed on the plant with a smile and then she stopped herself from frowning. It was fake. Not that that was a problem, Sharah just really loved plants.

Standing next to his desk, he was shifting through reports and his head turned to the door. “Doctor Fayth, come on in and tell me what’s up,” he said, gesturing to the small sitting area with a couch and a couple arm chairs.

Captain McBride, Starfleet CO

She took a seat in one of the chairs and passed him the PaDD. “I went through all the personnel files. I would like to offer the position to Lt. Asimina. She is currently serving on the Saracen. Before that she was on the Fearless. They were a science and medical ship focused colony support. She is a prosthetic specialist, and has search and rescue leadership training.”

Fauth, SFCMO

Jon took the PADD and took his time going through the officer’s record. Skimming was for people without the time and who didn’t need the details. That was not him. Who worked on Oed mattered, especially in leadership roles. An assistant head of anything mattered a great deal. “Normally I’d hesitate to poach someone from a current position, but”-he lowered the PADD and peered over it at Fayth-“we need all the best people we can get and if a CO wants to complain, they’re more than welcome to,” he said with a grin.

“Well everyone I looked at is either due for a transfer or had requested. Her request is a bit old, before she took the position on the Saracen. It could be she is just looking for opportunities to advance.”

“Makes sense,” McBride said.

Setting the PADD down, he nodded. “I agree that she would be an excellent fit. Do you think she’d be interested on leaving her current position?”

“I don’t know, I don’t know her personally, but I would really like to offer it to her and see what she says.”

Fayth, SFCMO

He nodded. “Alright, go for it. I think it’s worth a try and we do want to fill that position sooner rather than later.

Sharah pulled up the letter on the PaDD she was holding and pressed send. “Well when I hear something I will let you know. I have someone else in mind if she turns it down.”

Fayth, SFCMO

“All right, sounds like a plane,” McBride said, offering a smile. “Anything else while you’re here?”

Captain McBride, Starfleet CO

“No, Sir. That is the only thing on my list for today. Thank you Cpt.” After being dismissed Fayth turned for the door. While she was there she would check on the medical station before returning to the hospital.
