The work piled up, as expected but the details didn’t escape Jonathan. He had made plenty of notes of things that needed taken care of and this one needed to be dealt with today. It had already been put off too long.

From: Captain McBride, Jonathan (Commanding Officer)
Re: Urgent Meeting
Lieutenant, your mandatory presence is required at the Complex tomorrow at 0900. Conference Room A. Please make the necessary arrangements so you can be there.

Well Charles had said that when the comms came through summoning her he wanted it to sound here in the house, and it did. Sharah read it, three times. She would be there of course, but what it was about eluded her. This was not on the schedule of routine meetings, and there was nothing sudden or pressing going on with Sacred Heart or SF Medical. She supposed she would have to wait and find out.

Eraras, Yavia and Ilena could handle the security ward. C’tain was doing his rotation on the Centurion so she put Elbbirt in charge of anything that came up for Fleet Medical. She sent a note to Helaky as well, he would handle anything else that came up for the hospital.
The next day, the conference room held more than just McBride. He turned to the other occupant with a grave expression. “Did you want to handle this? It seems only fitting.”

Dasca was seated at the head of the large table, hands folded before her, her presence taking up space in the large meeting room. “Yes. It should be me,” she said, equally seriously as they waited for the doctor to arrive.

Sharah arrived early, she hated being late. She bypassed the coffee cart, the line was far too long this morning and made her way onto the complex. She headed toward the core building with all the offices and scanned her hand at the security desk and took the lift up to the 5th floor and a couple of turns later she approached the door for Conference Room A. The presences in the room made her pause a half step. McBride didn’t surprise her, but Eela as well? Oh dear, this wasn’t about that meeting with Oshiro and Helaky was it? She thought it had gone…well ended better than it went. Sharah took a deep breath, straightened her uniform and stepped through the door at exactly 0859. She stopped at attention just a few feet away. “Lt Gov Dasca, Cpt McBride, good morning. What can I do for you today?”
