There were many fine restaurants and eateries in the city. Dozens, maybe hundreds. Some sat in elegant display on broad parkway, their lights spilling out as diners in fine clothes ate food from all corners of the galaxy. Some were tucked into alleys and served food in old paper bags just barely thick enough to capture the grease. Some were always busy. Some had a dedicated clientele. But the one thing they all had in common was that they all wanted to be ‘The Wild Fork’.The Wild Fork (or TWF as the locals called it) was one part fine dining restaurant, one part high-end mixology bar, and all amazing. The wait list was years long. People would plan multi-quadrant travel around their reservations. And if one were going to have one last meal before shuffling off one’s mortal coil… TWF is where one would eat. It was so incredible it had its own live streaming vid just so viewers could watch other individuals eat and talk.
Situated at the top three floors of the Vizir Grand Hotel, the place was as beautiful as it was home to good food.
Yavia stared wide-eyed out the window, “The Wild Fork? How did you get in this place?” She slipped out of the car and onto his arm. Sharah looked around, was that what this place was? She knew it was quite exclusive, but who had time to try and get in here? She also would never have wanted to. The place was crowded and garnered a lot of attention and so did the guests. It was a nightmare of mental chaos. As she stood as he turned to help her out she was hesitant, cautious of the noise, but their proximity helped steady her. Things weren’t quite so raw and abrasive. Sharah prayed it would stay that way. She wanted this evening.
And it was into this place that one Major General Charles Tenkiller walked in with one true love on each arm.

Unbeknownst to Sharah, who didn’t watch such things, and Yavia who knew but didn’t consider, the three of them were caught, on the live stream, walking into TWF together. Both women, tucked willingly into his side, looking rather smitten with the man between them. Unfortunately for them, Jessie, was crazy about watching the live stream. And of course the Vice-Commander of the CCDA walking into this particular establishment was not to be missed by the media.

The place appeared more crowded than it was, or than it appeared on holo-vid. The strategic placement of tables allowed for the staff to move and diners to have some privacy in their conversations. For more… intimate… gatherings, patrons were taken to the Private Floor; which is where the Maître D’ ushered the throuple.
Yavia semi led the way between the closer tables, but for the most part there was room for them to stay side-by-side. She glanced around looking for possible empty tables when they were led up the stairs. Yavia smiled, secrets and surprises. She wasn’t aware there was another floor.
The floor appeared almost empty until one recognized the heavily draped alcoves all around. The drapes were drawn back on one to reveal a large table with a luxurious half circle booth. “Do enjoy Doctor Fayth. Miss Crockett. Major General sir, it is our pleasure to welcome you the Wild Fork.” Charles nodded and said “My thanks. And please give Daimon Drutetj my thanks.” The Maître D’ inclined his head and said “Of course, sir.” He waited until they were seated, Charles between the two women, and he said “Per your request Chef is creating a meal for the three of you. Four courses. You server will be with you momentarily. Should you need anything, please press the green button.” and he indicated a small metal plate on the back of the booth with two buttons, one green and one red. “If you do not wish to be disturbed, press the red. The booths are soundproofed for your comfort.” He smiled and drew the drape… and they were in silence.
Yavia slid smoothly into the booth and shared a grin with Sharah across TK. This was extravagant. She felt properly spoiled. The red button sounded intriguing and very very dangerous.
Sound proof and do not disturb buttons? Sharah had a very similar thought to Yavia and when the curtain was drawn she grinned.
Tenkiller looked at the two amazing women by him and he said “I hope this was a good choice.” and he smiled.

The booth was large with plenty of room for all three of them to be more than comfortable. “I admit I am very impressed.” Yavia loved food, and new flavors and textures, “I can’t wait to try the food.”
Yavia
Sharah looked around the booth feeling spoiled as well, “It’s lovely.” Then she looked at him, her curiosity getting the better of her. “Who is Daimon Drutetj?”
Sharah
Charles smiled at her and said “He is the one whose reservation we are using.” he said and there was asoft chime and voice said “My name is Heigr. I will be attending to you this evening. May I come in?” Tenkiller said “Of course.” And the drapes were pulled back a human male stood before them. “Good evening and welcome Major General, Doctor, Madame. May I take your drink order? And the first course will be in approximately fifteen minutes.” Charles looked at the two and said “Anything you want. And if ya have wanted to try it but haven’t, now ‘s your chance.”

Yavia raised a elegant brow when the man asked permission to enter. It lent a very risqué element to the evening. Yavia’s eyes slid to Sharah, a silent question if she was alright. Sharah’s telepathy hadn’t returned yet in full force, though it might be less that didn’t mean she could stop from hearing.
Sharah shook her head slightly. She was fine, for now. That was as honest an answer as she could provide.
Yavia gave it a moment’s thought, “I will have a Rose Petal Eclipse.”
Sharah considered, she didn’t want alcohol but something new…”A Cider Dutchess please.”
Yavia
“Yamazaki whiskey. Three fingers over a stone, please.” Tenkiller said. Heigr nodded and walked across the room the bar, and in less than a minute had the three drinks on a tray. He walked back, set the drinks in front of their respective client, and drew the drapes. Tenkiller lifted his glass and said “Happy Anniversary, my loves.” and he kissed V and then Sharah.

Sharah chuckled. “We already did this toast in the car.” She raised her glass again and sipped. It was very good. She looked across at Yavia, she was quite lovely in that dress. “How was your practice. I know you were excited about it.”
“It was okay. We’re all a bit out of practice, but we had a good time. We practice again in a couple of days, and we set the game for two weeks from Saturday. I’d really like you both to come if you can.”
“Well see, here’s the thing…I make the schedule so I won’t miss it. You’ll have to explain baseball to me though.”
Sharah
Tenkiller said “I’ll be there barring an immenent invasion. I’d love to see you play. I can only guess how competative you are.” and he chuckled.
Tenkiller
Yavia laughed, “You have no idea. I like to win. I like the sheer competition more.” She glanced over at Sharah and then at TK. The light in the inclised space glinting softly off the headband. “I definitely won when I got both of you.” She sipped the Rose Petal Eclipse and grinned. “That is deceptively easy going down.”
Sharah chuckled, “If he keeps toasting our anniversary you might be in trouble.” Sharah’s gaze turned mischievous and her glass paused half way to her lips, “To our anniversary.” She took a sip and winked at Charles.
Yavia sipped but laughed, “You said your hair needed saving, but someone may have to save me from you, Sweetheart.”
Sharah’s gaze was openly flirtatious and just a touch wicked. “Then you really are in trouble because we are all going home together later.”
Yavia’s cheeks flushed and her eyes danced. Pleasure and happiness suffused her. Sharah was lovely and wonderful. Flirtatious she was stunning.
Yavia stared lovingly at her a long moment. One hand twined with TK’s sharing her happiness. “How is your other hospital running?” Sharah hadn’t been back until after lunch and Yavia hadn’t seen her until she returned from practice.
Sharah shrugged one shoulder, the material slipping and shifting with the soft movement. “Lacking leadership. I can’t be everywhere everyday. They aren’t lazy or unskilled, but too many chefs in the kitchen type of thing. I’m reassigning C’tain to run sickbay as AMO.”
Yavia tipped her head to the side. “Isn’t he your neurologist?”
“He was the doctor on call, yes,” her curls bounced as she nodded, “and he is very good. He is not the only neurologist at the hospital. It would be very selfish of me to deny him the opportunity just to keep him near me. Besides that’s what transporters are for.”
Yavia
“Really?” Tenkiller said with a grin. “We are here and y’all wanna talk about work? And General Harris tells me I gotta work on my work-life balance. Sheesh…” He looked from one to the other and wagged a finger at them. “A lesson you two could study, I think.” and he laughed.
A few minutes later Heigr voice said “Chef has prepared your appetizers. I will be there momentarily.” And a few breaths later the chime rang and the drapes opened. Heigr set a large plate on the table and said “With the Chef’s compliments.” On the plate were a dozen bright gold and azure shells with a single mouthful of a deep red scallop-like fish. It smelled of salt water, herbs, and citrus. “For your first course, the Chef has selected Betagusian scallops with Risian orange accent. The dish is served cold to maintain the essence of the Belarusian oceans which have long fascinated off-worlders with its shimmering, prismatic waters. Bon Appétit.” and he stepped back and closed the drapes.
