Charles waited until her breathing was deep and regular. Appropriately, it fell into an identical rhythm to Yavia’s. Charles smiled there in the dark, and slowly drifted into a deep sleep.

The advantage to having a bedroom underground is that there are no windows to let in light. The disadvantage to having a bedroom underground is that there are no windows to let in light. So when he woke up, he had no idea what time it was or how long they had slept. They? his disoriented mind struggled to piece together the amalgamation of limbs and naked bodies in his bed. Oh yeah… he thought and smiled broadly. They were all there. Sharah… Yavia… and him. At some point in the night the three had shifted from Sharah in the middle to V. Thank all the gods that he had a large bed.

He lay there in the dark and tried to feel or hear what they were thinking. Nothing. So either both were unconscious, or the temporary ability had ready faded. He shrugged. No real loss. He still had the two of them, and they still had him and each other. All was right with the world.

Or, he hoped it was. He slowly reached over to the bedside table and tapped the chronometer. On the plus side, it was seven in the morning. On the negative side, they had just slept for… what… sixteen hours. He closed the light from the display and yawned silently as he woke up. Then he grinned.

He didn’t know whose knee it was, but he began tracing very light circles around the back of it. On one of their ribs, he very lightly began brushingbhis fingertips across their skin. Lets see if either are ticklish. he thought to himself, although he knew V’s feet weren’t.

Tenkiller

For his efforts on the back of her knee, Yavia slapped his hand, and then when it didn’t stop she grabbed his wrist and flung it away, mumbling irritatedly in her sleep and rolling over so now she was facing him. Apparently Yavia was a cuddler because her head was very quickly tucked right up under his chin, arms around his waist and let out a very deep contented sigh.

Sharah was pitifully ticklish....everywhere. At first she squirmed away in her sleep, rolling a shoulder and curling into a little ball…bumping Yavia only a little. Then the sensation returned and she giggled in her sleep before squirming around again, the next time she didn’t squirm, she jerked and Yavia got beaned in the lower back by a knee.

She was not asleep though, evidenced by the kisses she was gently pressing to his neck. Then she groaned painfully. She was getting knees and elbows in her back. “Geeze Sharah the bed is huge if you need room.”

Yavia

The sensation came again, more insistent that time along with an irritated voice. Sharah woke quite suddenly to the horrible realization she was being tickled all up and down her ribs. “AH! No. Nonononono! AH!” And she squirmed and writhed making a bee-line for the edge of the bed.

Sharah

Charles laughed and said “SHE’S TICKLISH!! YES!” and he laughed some more, but didn’t push his luck with more tickling. “Good morning, my loves.” he said and smiled at them both. He leaned in and kissed V solidly and said “Waking up to you is one of the two best things in my whole life.”

Yavia kissed him back in a whole encompassing way, twinning her arms around him, and then threw herself back among the pillows. “This is not going to work. This bed is just too comfortable. I can’t remember the last time I slept 16 hours. I’ll never make it to work on time.” Her gaze slid longingly over both of them, “Of course with you two here playing hookie is my new favorite past time.”

He then crawled down to Sharah, kissed her very intimately, and then said “Waking up to you is the other.” and he smiled. “Now, I know you both are off this morning… yes, this morning… we slept all night. Its seven in the morning. But what time do you go in?”

Tenkiller

Sharah was breathing like she had just run a marathon. She eyed him warily as she came over to her, but she wasn’t too worried he would tickle her again…maybe. She kissed him back sighing softly and relaxing into his arms. “0700? Ugh I have to be on the Centurion by 0900. I won’t be to the hospital until about 1300 if I’m lucky.” She hugged him tightly, “What about you?”

“1000. Then I have practice afterwards. We finally got the folks in building and construction to agree to a game.” She slid off the bed, walked up to Sharah, snagged her hand and pulled her into her arms and then kissed her like she was the most precious thing to her. “Now it’s a good morning.” She grinned down at Sharah and ran her fingers through her hair.

Yavia

Sharah grinned, Yavia had been complaining for weeks that there weren’t enough people for two teams for baseball. She knew she was excited about it. Then quite suddenly Sharah was being kissed, thoroughly, breathlessly, tenderly. Sharah stared up at her and grinned. Yavia was right, this was a good morning. Then she seemed to remember to breath and she looked between both of them. “Yep I’m going to my room now or none of us are going to work on time.”

Sharah

Charles smiled and said “Nope. You two get a solid ninety minutes of quality girl time. I’ll make all the arrangements to get you both to work on time. You current proximity and state of dress should not be squandered on such trivial tasks as getting ready for work.” He stood up and said “You.” and pointed to Sharah. “I will lay out your uniform and have everything you need to be ready in under five minutes. You.” and he pointed at Yavia. “Scrubs for work. And playing clothes for the game. Done and done.” He walked to the door and turned around. “Have fun. I got you both.” and the door closed.

Tenkiller

Yavia smirked and turned her attention back to Sharah and laughed softly at the look on her face. “If your confused…I’m happy to explain it to you.”

Sharah leaned over, snagged a pillow and smacked Yavia in the arm with it. She laughed warmly, “No I do not need an explanation.” The pillow disappeared and then she hugged Yavia.

“HEY!” Yavia laughed and grabbed the pillow and tossed it back on the bed. “I deserved that.” Then she slipped her arms around Sharah and rested her forehead against hers. “How are you? Hmmm? You okay to go to work?”

Sharah took a deep breath and…paused before she said ‘okay.’ She sat down in the middle of the bed. “I don’t know. My head is…It feels like I’m wearing ear plugs or something.” She kept thinking about what Charles said about her hiding and no secrets. She told Yavia everything that she’d missed after she fell asleep. Sharah shared with her the guilt and confusion. Her fear and events that led her to contact Korczak. She told her about the panic attack and how horrible she felt that morning. She shared her confusion over how easy and right it had been when she’d called him when the noise returned at Yavia’s apartment but it had been so incredibly impossible to do the same while she sat on the floor of the shower hyperventilating even though she needed to. She cried some. No she wasn’t sure she was okay to go to work, but she would anyway.

Yavia ran her fingers through her hair understanding in her eyes for everything Sharah didn’t know how to express but shared with her anyway. Then Yavia kissed the amazing woman in her arms again.

Yavia

An hour later they were sitting on the bed in Sharah’s room. Yavia had declared his bathroom spectacular but they needed girly things to fix Sharah’s hair with, and so Yavia had dragged her in here. Sharah loved this room, the sound of the plants and soil above her, and the soft light of the solar tubes. She laughed as Yavia played with her hair. “Yavia, decide already. I have to get ready to go.” Yavia didn’t answer but Sharah laughed again feeling how happy Yavia was just messing with her hair. She also caught another thought. “I don’t know if he’d let you mess with his hair or not. That’s between the two of you. Hurry up or I’m going to be late.” She turned to look at her and Yavia grinned and turned her back around.

“Almost done. Be still, Sweet heart.”

Sharah

There was a knock at the door and it opened a fraction. “You ladies are all set. I have transportation, coffee, tea, and breakfast sandwiches ready when you are.” There was a pause and then a flood of affection and love came from the other side of the door. “This was the best morning of my life. I love you two. More than anything. Oh! Make sure you check the counter by the sandwiches.” and door slid closed and they could feel him moving away.

Tenkiller

Sharah smiled and laughed loudly, “No. Come back here! She’s holding me, MY HAIR, hostage!” Sharah started giggling. “Bring paw-paws, something! It’s massive and will take me all day to tame!”

“I am not holding you hostage! You look beautiful.” She tugged gently at one of the ribbons of curl. “TK get in here and tell her.”

The door slid open. Tenkiller was dressed in his working uniform and was holding a cup of coffee.

Sharah’s curls had been brushed and then pinned in such a way that it simply looked like she’d cut her hair instead of styled it. It also kept it out of her face and off her shoulders. “The best part it doesn’t add to your headaches. You love it, admit it.” Yavia nudged her playfully.

Yavia

Charles looked at her and smiled. “You look even .ore beautiful than you did this morning. Now…” and he walked forward and kissed one woman then the other, “… I have to go.” He stood and walked out the door, but yelled “Read the note by the sandwiches!!” and a few seconds later they heard the front door close.

Tenkiller

They both whispered a soft “I love you” after he kissed them. His easy sweet farewell left a content look on Sharah’s face. It also made her take a really deep breath as things became much more real suddenly. This was how her days were going to start?

Yavia sighed, “Mmmmm there is something about a man in uniform. I don’t care if it’s cliche, he just…mmmm. How do you manage being around fleet people all day, Sharah?”

“Because even fleet tactical uniforms do not look that good.” She glanced over at Yavia and laughed, leaning into her. Then, “Okay come on, I really have to get going.” She stood and clipped her combadge to her uniform and stepped into her boots. Yavia stopped her before they went up the stairs. “Hey you know you can call me, right. If it’s too much. You can call him too.”

Sharah rolled her eyes, “I am not calling him ‘incase’ I have a headache. That’s crazy. I’m fine, and if I’m not then we’ll deal with it. You’ll be at the hospital.” Then they hurried up the stairs looking for the note while they both grabbed a sandwich. Yavia made a huge cup of coffee and Sharah had water. She was going to have to get a supply of hot chocolate.

Sharah

The note was next to the sandwiches: poached egg whites, Siveastian spinach (a bright red, leafy vegetable), and cheese crumbles on toasted bread. The note was handwritten, and apparently Tenkiller’s penmanship was exquisite:

“My loves,

To celebrate us, I would like to invite you both on a date. Dress up, fancy dinner, and then we will see where the evening takes us. I will pick you both up at seven this evening.
I love you both. I don’t the ‘why’ as to how this happened. And I don’t care. The fact that I am privileged enough to have you both in my life is enough. See you tonight.

Love Always,

Charles / TK”

Tenkiller

Sharah read the note and smiled happily. A date sounded fun, but it was the rest that made her yruly happy. He was just so affectionate in small but meaningful ways. Most of the time it left her confused, but she liked it. She passed the letter to Yavia.

Yavia grinned. “Like he needed to ask. I will go on a date with him anytime, anywhere.” Of course Yavia had been on a date with him and was happily excited for another. She looked up at Sharah who had a curious expression on her face. “Sharah?”

She finished chewing and laughed. “I was just trying to remember the last time I actually went on a date.”

“Oh, and he wants us to dress up!” She nudged Sharah, “No dress uniforms! And I get to do your hair!”

She gave Yavia a stink eye. “I know no dress uniform! They really aren’t all that nice either.” Sharah backed up hands out in warning. “No…oh no. Stay away from my hair.” She laughed again knowing full well she would let Yavia. She paused next to Hope and set her hands on the soil.

Before Sharah could head out the door, Yavia stopped her and put an arm around her and a hand over her heart and was still for long moments as their feelings passed between them. She kissed Sharah quickly before giving her a squeeze around the waist. “I’ll see you at the hospital.”

Sharah grinned. “Good luck, you’re gonna need it.” The nurses were going to drive Yavia crazy. She was a little disappointed she was going to miss it. 20 minutes later she was stepping off the pad on the Centurion and making her way toward sickbay.

When Sharah left, Yavia put away the food and then went into her room and opened the duffel and crates with her clothes. Half an hour later she left carrying her duffel for practice.

Yavia

Sharah didn’t get to hospital until after lunch. She was not immune to the interrogation either. She helped Yavia move so therefore she was at fault. And what did she make of Yavia already moving in with the General?”

Sharah

Their shifts were almost over and Sharah was doing a last check on Holloway before she left. She was standing at the nurses station signing off on a couple of orders.

Elaine walked over, crossed her arms on the counter and tried to look lije she wasn’t grilling Sharah, “What is his house like?”

Sharah didn’t look up. She knew full well what Elaine was getting at, “Huh? Oh they dropped me off at home right after.” They did. They made sure she went in first.

Yavia snortted behind her hand eyes dancing at Sharah. Shrine walked away suddenly. Ilena looked at her with concern, and Sharah heard her voice in her head. ‘No you didn’t you haven’t been back in 3 days. Where were you?‘

It was just before their shift ended when the guard at the door to the Security Ward stepped inside and said “Doctor Fayth? Nurse Crockett? Visitor for you. He’s on the list. Approved by the Major General.” He stepped aside and a Bajoran man in a very nice suit stepped in.

Sharah looked up as did every other person in the corridor. Yavia quite clearly felt Sharah’s excited dread at whatever TK was up to now.

“Madames… your transport is here. With the Major General’s compliments.” Outside, in full view of the ward’s windows, was a private shuttle. Sleek, well appointed, and the hatch was open to reveal the luxurious interior. It was parked at an odd angle… almost purposefully showing off the inside, but just to the ward windows.

Tenkiller

Every person, except Sharah and Yavia, rushed to a window. They didn’t even try to hide their curiosity. Which Sharah was sure Charles was going for. “Yavia! Come look at this!” That was Jessie. The other girls all turned and looked at the two women. “Why is t he car for you Dr Fayth?”

Sharah shrugged, “I suppose to thank me for helping Yavia move?”

Shrine slipped right out of her chair she was laughing so hard.

Sharah looked at the guard, “Derrick will you help Shrine up please. Ilena make sure she didn’t break anything.” She nudged Yavia’s arm and disappeared as quickly as possible out of the ward without running from the hungry pack of gossipy nurses.

Sharah

The guard dutifully went to Shrine. Tears were streaming down the older woman’s face and she wasn’t breathing she was laughing so hard. Agent Mastik put his hands under her arms and simply lifted the hysterical woman into her chair. Shrine drew a deep breath… and then continued laughing, bent over the desk and pounding on it with her fist.

Outside, the chauffeur escorted the two women to the shuttle. It was very nice, and contained one passenger already: Tenkiller. He grinned as the women came inside and said “So? How was your day?” with a grin that said he was quite aware of the stir the last few minutes had created.

Tenkiller

Yavia slipped in after Sharah turned toward the windows and waved after blowing the nurses a kiss. Then she let chauffeur close the door. In the luscious space they sat one on either side of him. “My day was a series of rather comical interrogations. I am in quite a lot of trouble for sneaking away without telling anyone. And I learned that our sweet Sharah, here, is rather good at telling the truth without saying anything at all.” She looked at Sharah, “You know Ilena is really worried.”

Sharah nodded, “I’ll talk to her tomorrow.”

Tenkiller reached back and tapped the dividing wall between them and the chauffeur, and the limo-shuttle began to rise.

As the limo began to rise there was the weightless unbalanced feeling in her stomach and Yavia gripped the edge of the seat. She wasn’t afraid, nor did she get sick, she just spent a lot of time with her feet on stable ground and the sensation always got her at first.

Then they both leaned in, in turn, and kissed him. “My day was rather boring and tedious till I got to the ward. And Shrine may have broken a hip and I was cruel and left her with Ilena and Agent Mastik.”

Yavia

Charles laughed and said “Masik is solid. He won’t let anyone get too outta control.” He put an arm around bithnof them and said “I wanted to celebrate us tonight. Since this is our official Zero-th anniversary of being together. So… we are going home, we will change, and then we will go to dinner. After dinner? Who knows. Depends on what we feel like. How does that sound to ya, my loves?”

Tenkiller

Yavia settled in, “I will have to bring Shrine donuts tomorrow. To appease her.”

“No, you will send it to her apartment, tonight, so when the nurses swarm her tonight she’s in a good mood.” Sharah laughed, “Though I may seriously owe Mastik…he can handle it, doesn’t mean he should.” She grinned at Yavia, “Though I am sure Elaine doesn’t mind him being around.” Sharah leaned over against his shoulder. Things with her and her head were okay, but something felt…off. she wasn’t sure what and thought maybe it was just worry over everything coming back. “I am happy with that arrangement.”

Charles put an arm around her and gave her a gentle squeeze.

“It sounds good to me. Means I get to play with Sharah’s hair again.” Yavia reached across him and brushed her hair behind her left ear. Sharah groaned and may have mumbled something about someone save her.

Yavia

He laughed and said “And tomorrow morning, we go over the rest of the house.” and grinned.

It was only a few minutes until the shuttle settled gracefully in the clearing behind the house. The chauffeur opened the door and offered a hand to each woman. Charles said “Go on in. I’ll be there in a minute.” and he began speaking to the chauffeur in a low voice. He knew the women could hear his thoughts if they chose (Sharah regardless) but he refused to give up the pretext that he had secrets and surprises.

Tenkiller

Sharah hurried away, into the house and grabbed Hope and sat down with her. Letting her consciousness drop some. She was aware but it was easier to ignore what he didn’t want heard. Sharah was happy to allow him his secrets. She stayed there until he came in and then disappeared into her room.

Yavia walked in behind her and laughed quietly. Sharah was happy and the effort was cute. She wondered about the tree though. Sharah was extremely attached to it. It made her wonder what happened to make her that way.

Sharah

Tenkiller walked in a few moments later and looked at Sharah and then at V. “Everybody good? There’s some business I think we should go over a bit now, too. Nothing too serious, but some things you two should know about the house and stuff.”
